I really love VH but I really really hope they dont go back to classic Coldplay, that would be terrible. Of course people are going to hate Violet Hill because theyve listened to it so many times because its they only new material weve heared from them in 3 years, but Im sure when the album comes out and we will lay off VH a while we will realise how great the song really is.

I personally think Speed Of Sound was a terrible song, so crap. Probaly Coldplays worst song along with swallowed in the Sea. And In My Place wasnt great. Thinking back its such a bared-boned song, theres that riff that goes on and on and on. Soooo boring. The lyrics on IMP were so uninspiring also. Not good lyrics at all. The drums OK at the beginning but fades away and also gets boring. I totally agree with Sebret on their opinion on In my place. Shiver wasnt exactly strong either and that was shown in the charts as it only got 37. Violet hill on the otherhand has the most amzing bass. Thanks to Guy. He done and excellent job in my opinion. Chris vocals are similar but very diferent, extremley earthy which makes all the difference. Wills Druming is amazing aswell. Johnnys guitar was good but not OTT but also not as crap as people say it is on here when they love his other riffs. Some people are kinda stupid. I really like the sound of VH overall, its fresh and original, reminded me of the 70s 80s which is something they havent done. Chris lyrics are great in my opinion, his best I think, better than the scientist as scientist when you break it down is awfully simple. So yeah I think VH is te strongest 1st single maybe not as Clocks but that dosent mean its not better than Clocks. I think when Coldplay went out to make a very strong song they were extreme perfectionist making sure every bit is in line but with VH it sounds more rough around the edges, I like that because it gives it an edge to the song.

So what should we expect from the new album then? Well there are some stomping guitar chords which Chris Martin sings to perfectly and the great thing about the album is how hushed Martin’s vocals are. The first single as I said is Violet Hill and starts off with a synthesizer that bubble away which then lends itself in guitar fuzz. It all starts of quietly and then slowly manages to fill the room, all the while we hear the background noise of white noise and if you don’t like it tough, as it is a bit of a theme on the whole album. Then there are the vocals from frontman Chris Martin, he starts of singing about “a long and dark December/ From the rooftops I remember there was snow.” That’s when things then pickup and starts to stomp, it is a startling change from a whimsy start then to powerful pounding muscular guitar and piano chords. However; it does not stop there the momentum seems to build and build until we reach the point where guitarist Jonny Buckland gives a guitar solo, Buckland then brings things down again with a smooth and sexy midsection with a little crooning from Martin in the background. Violet Hill is a great first single from Coldplay’s new album, if you have heard the new single please let us know what you think.

I dont know if its my computer or what. But somebody try get it. I do hope they change the setlist. I would like it if it was the whole of VLV and 2 or 3 songs from previouse albums (excluding XY). They can juggle that setlist up however they wish!!

I think its good, it goes with the song really good but it does seem as much as Johnnys guitar is loud he still seems to be limiting himself. Its like hes missing 1 finger. I still love it but Ive played it sooo much!!! The drums are great!!!Will is on top of his game!!

Yeah I agree I think theyve taken their time on thios album and theyve got the mixture of all their songs correctley making it a whole album, not just singles and alot of filler

I cant take all this shit and complaining about VH. I cant understand why people want the same formula, the SAME fukin formula theyve used for ten years. Best band in the world. Yeah right, how fukin shit was XY, and that used the so-called magic "formula". All you people are the ones dragging Coldplay down and not letting them succeed. To be perfectley honest, I couldnt care is VLV is shit aslong as they are really brave and trying something new. Something I cant take is it being the same bullshit as their last 3 albums. And Violet Hill Rocks!!
