it won't leak. EMI learned their lesson from X&Y if violet hill didn't leak then the album won't however, good news on the horizon. my local HMV are selling the album from June 4th. I pre-ordered and paid for it in full yesterday and was told the release date their was the 4th. Although it still says the 12th on their website. interesting... :thinking:

Cinders DID get it from coldplay.com but the link in the email is or WAS broken, you have to copy and paste an extra bit at the end of it which doesn't appear as a clickable link to get it to work :)

did that to me too. don't click on the link. if you look closely, you'll see it has something like *47 on the end of the link, but it's not part of the link. so copy and paste the whole thing with the *47 included on the end of it into your browser and press enter.. ad it'll download for it, mind it's a zip file, so you'll need to donwload a programme for that, but they're free and take minutes to download :] like winzip. =]

I'm in love with the intro, the solo, and the outro. the rest is pretty damn good too ;)

Personal review.... and I'm going out on a limb saying this! I think Violet hill is one of the best songs I've heard coldplay produce. it is refreshing to hear something different from them, the guitars, the drums, and the soft vocals on the intro/outro make this song too good to be true, the solo during the middle 8 makes me want to sway my arms left and right with a massive smile on my face... I've listened to this song about 45 times today, and I just can't get enough of it. it's fantastic, it was well worth the 3 year wait and already may be better than many of the songs off their last 3 albums. Coldplay have since Yellow, been my favourite band, every album, every song (Even a whisper ;) ) has been phenomenal, and this new offering is no different. the only thing left to say after letting this song grow on you is "Bring on the album" I give this song an 9/10 but then agin, I may be a tad bias :P

ffs... people complaining about the song already? the song is amazing. don't critisise it so soon. It's annoying as hell, we wait for 3 years, and especially the last month has been agonising, then the second it comes out, people are going on about what's wrong with it!

Mine had the *42 on the end too, now it works!! but I got it from a user from the multimedia section. I put on radio 6 at about 13 minutes past 12 and it wasn't on, so I cheekily checked radio 1, where it was JUST starting. I instantly fell in love with it. The only bit I wasn't sure about at first was the distorted guitar part. but I love the intro, the lyrics when they come in, and the ending, that's one of the best pices of music I've heard in a while, I'm definitely psyched about the new album and I'm glad that I love this song. I was scared I wouldn't, but i do :D

I haven't, unfortunately, there isn't a decent dvdrip on isohunt. and I missed it at the cinema. it's meant to be great. the trailer looks awesome. when he slaps the black dude and he's like "I'm sorry, you did NOT deserve that" then slaps him again. :lol: will ferrell is a legend as in the end of a leg. LMAO! it's one of the best quotes in the whole movie, along with "I'M IN A GALSS CASE OF EMOTION" the milk quote has me in stitches!

have you seen "stranger than fiction"? It's not strictly a comedy, more so a drama. but it's a VERY good movie. Will ferrell is SO good in that movie, and it's a totally original story. you should so check it out.
