This is a sad day. But it is out of our control and I feel like they know what is best for them. I just wish all four of them the best! It's depressing, especially with all the excitement of Ghost Stories and the DVD. I feel like it's hard to be as excited. :(

I think it is a slap in the face to Coldplay that people are selling the buttons and the note. It was a way of saying thank you to the audience and people are trying to sell it. Rude in my opinion.

I understand how you feel. Im really excited for it, but I don't want it to spoil the album. However, like you said, it is a short time before the album release. I am pretty sure I am just going to end up watching it anyway. :laugh3:

To be honest, I am not sure. I have heard both the DVD and the NBC thing. People who were there said that Chris said it was for an NBC special airing next month, but also for a DVD to be released with the album. So who knows? :shrug:

Oh I know right! The news came out of nowhere. I was originally expecting the album in August or September, so May isn't too bad, but at the same time it still seems too far! The pre-order part on the front page of Coldplay's site has been updated. http://tinypic.com/r/14l0or6/8 I think it is a good sign that the 3 bonus tracks will be new. If not, maybe acoustic versions?

^ Im not too sure that it will be released tomorrow now. I just checked Amazon, and all the dates have been changed to May 19.

After another listen, I think it is a decent show opener, but definitely not the greatest. The beginning strings get me amped up, but then I kind of just feel ok and relaxed. I was hoping that the show opener would really grab you and be loud, saying "We're back!" Pretty much like Hurts Like Heaven. We will see though. It kind of works with a slower song and then going into something big like Charlie Brown. The way I think of it is that we have no control of what Coldplay do or how they do it, so just enjoy it :) Also, this could have just been a test run to see what it would be like with opening with Always In My Head. If I remember correctly, for Rock IM Park, they opened with Charlie Brown, but changed it to MX-HLH. I feel like they are still sorting things out, and even though that the Ghost Stories Era has started, I feel like we are still in a transition. So MX is still somewhat there. The people who were not die hard fans there probably knew Paradise, Charlie Brown, and Teardrop. I think this won't reflect the setlist for a tour, but who knows.

Exactly. I think they are just placeholders. I have a feeling we will be seeing more b-sides this era as well as an E.P. down the road. To be honest this is all happening really fast and the album will be out much sooner than I predicted. Which is great! :D

I haven't had the chance to post (been busy with other things) but I have been following since day one, and have been reading everyone's comments. Thought I would take a chance during my free time to say how much I love this song. I listened to the leak the night before release and I loved it instantly. At first it seems like a slow song, but I love how it is soft and slow in the beginning and then it "explodes" :wink3: in the end. It's the perfect sound for the movie. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts, once again Coldplay have done it!! :D

I got home from work and my Dad told me that a preview was released. I will never believe a word he says again.
