I'm surprised that there hasn't been a Four Tet thread here already. I really like them though, the new album is very good as well as Pause. Those are the only two albums I have by them. I also love their Atoms for Peace remix too.

See for me what is the most frustrating about all of this is how little we've known. I don't know if you guys were around before IR was released but they would often post pictures, song lyrics, talk of what they were up to and then like a month before the album announcement gave cryptic messages. This time around there has been nothing. They have been extremely vague and we only know a few things here and there from what some of the band has said, or from what other people have seen... besides that that's it. I just find it really frustrating because I don't know if the album will be released tomorrow or not for another year. It is exciting to think there's an imminent release, but it quickly gets old when you get your hopes up over news (which is rare in itself) that pops up

blah blah blah... yet another disappointment w/ DAS. It looks like Ed forgot that DAS has an Off Topic section. I've really gotten tired of speculation with the new album, it's really drained my excitement for a new album so much.

Didn't read this, but from the title I say get rid of them... bunch of idiotic numbskulls who have spent too much time drinking the cool-aid. Also having family members that have had mental illnesses in the past, I find there beliefs to be extremely offensive.

I won't be around either tonight. But I should be around tomorrow and Wednesday if people wanted to do one then.

yeah that's what I figured. I mean I wouldn't want to get a ticket and take that away from someone who is a much bigger fan. it would be cool if they did a webcast of it though.

I'm lucky that my parents aren't divorced. Currently my Aunt is going through one and I think that she's doing the right thing. Of course I don't want to discuss why because it's her private life, but basically her husband (who is such an asshole), really manipulated a lot and made her life terrible especially recently. So I feel that it is good for her to do this to be free and also start her life over. Also another good thing is though she is extremely angry with him, she doesn't bad mouth him in front of her kids, which I feel is extremely important to not thus force the kids to start to pick sides. So I don't think that people getting a divorce is being selfish. I mean if you lived with say a roommate for a while or was in a relationship and didn't love the person or get along would you still stay together with them just because? I think it is selfish though when the process gets ugly and it becomes a battle over money and making the other persons life a hell throughout the process. There should just be a mutual agreement to split up and then make the process as smooth as possible. Of course I feel bad for the children, but in some sense I think it'd almost be better for parents to split up just simply because as a child you probably wouldn't want to be in an environment where your parents are constantly arguing.
