  1. ^I agree with you and Lore... one thing that really annoys me is when bands/artists play the same setlist over and over. It makes it too predictable. To be honest bands that play the same setlists make me less likely to see them live multiple times because it's not much of a surprise. That's why I loved seeing Radiohead live is because you really had no idea what song was next.
  2. I'm not one to talk much but I'd have to agree with what everyone else has said. I think you should just give it time and be the one to go to social events to meet people. As I've learned staying at home and not being the one to make the change won't change the situation. Of course there will be hardships along the way. But you're not alone. I mean I've always been really quiet and shy and unfortunately the last two girls I really liked were already taken :( But that still isn't going to set me back and make me stop looking for a GF. So even though you may have been rejected in the past it shouldn't stop you either. I'm sure you'll find someone eventually... just give it time. :)
  3. I think as you mentioned they are sort of expected. Though I have been to a few shows where an aritst didn't do any encore (mainly opening bands, but also a headliner like Explosions in the Sky). I can see how it's a bit of a charade, but I think it kind of adds to a show even though it's planned. Like you are put through the experience of a full live concert that it's nice to get a break from it, but also build up some hype and excitement to see the band again. edit: also the tags for the thread are funny
  4. yes :disappointed: My coworker uses a program that randomizes songs based on artists, and Muse constantly pops up. It's actually a bit of an inside joke when we hear Mr. Bellamy
  5. fine... then i won't send you a RH tape... I have to listen to enough muse at my internship
  6. alright fine... it won't be ALL Radiohead. It'll be Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood, Thom Yorke & Philip Selway
  7. :awesome: I'm hoping to get you so I can jam pack the mixtape full of Radiohead :awesome:
  8. that's annoying
  9. I don't know how long it's been... I just copied the last ones info
  10. This is Mixtape Number 9... Number 9... Number 9... So it's been a few months since the last mixtape exchange, and it's now time for Mixtape Exchange #9! Previous mixtape exchanges have been hosted by Ms. Magpie, Redgirl76, David, The Escapist, Ivet & Ceolsige. The Coldplaying Mixtape Exchange is a fun way to discover new music while also giving you the chance to share music that you enjoy with other Coldplayers. Basically what happens is that you'll be given the name of the person who you will be making your mixtape for, and all you have to do is get together some songs that you really like, that go well together, and/or that your partner has most likely never heard before; but you must not let anyone know who you're making your mixtape for, and your partner must not know what exactly he or she is listening to - it has to be a surprise! After your partner reviews your mixtape, you will then get to reveal yourself and the tracklisting. You will of course be receiving a mixtape to review as well! And to make things simpler, here is the list of rules copied from RedGirl76 and previous exchanges. RULES: 1. Sign up saying you want to participate - leave your name on the thread or PM me directly 2. When the deadline for signing up is over, you'll get a PM from me giving you the name of another participant in the Exchange. You will be making a mix for this person, whoever they may be 3. You mustn't reveal who you are making the mix for 4. Make your mix-tape (average length is around 50-70 minutes) and delete the info for each song. 5. Upload the mix-tape to something like rapidshare and send me the link and a tracklisting. I will then send it to person assigned to you, keeping your identity a secret of course! - if you're able to, and this makes it way simpler for everyone, put your music files in a .zip or .rar. You can download winrar (64bit / 32bit) to do this 6. When you receive a mix-tape, listen to it, write a review and post it in this thread. 7. The person who made the mix-tape will then post the track-list and the link so everybody can download it. Simple as that. 8. At the end, I will link all the tapes, tracklistings and reviews to the first page so everyone can download them. Note: Please make sure before you sign up that you're actually going be able to follow through on this, or at least let me know before the deadline ends if you're going to be too busy to participate and you need your name taken off of the list. In past mixtape exchanges, several people never received mixtapes or reviews because their mixtaper/mixtapee never bothered to go through with it, and that's pretty inconsiderate to those who worked hard to make a mixtape and never got anything in return. Mixtape exchanges only happen a couple times a year so they're to be taken pretty srsly. DEADLINES: Sunday, May 29 at 6pm EST (GMT -5) - Sign up ends Sunday, June 5th at 6pm EST (GMT -5) - Mixtapes are due The Song Information Deletion Tutorial OK. Here's what you do. 1. Find the tracks you plan on putting on your mixtape, and copy-and-paste them to a new folder, away from all the other stuff. You can either right-click and find "copy" and "paste," or you can use the shortcuts (Ctrl + C for copy and Ctrl + V for paste). 2. Once you've done that, go track by track, right-click, choose "Properties," and clear everything. Remember to change track numbers if you have a specific order (and almost everyone does, so...yeah). Also, it's helpful to name your album, even if it's something as simple as "mixtape." If you want, you can fill in the blank spots with fake information to add a personal touch to the mix. Once you've done all that, click OK. You'll have to do this separately with each track. 3. Move that folder into your iTunes library by clicking and dragging it into iTunes when it's open, and go through the tracks one by one and double-check everything. Typically, the one thing that usually needs to be altered if anything is the album art. In that case, just select your entire mixtape (either by going under "Edit" and choosing "Select all" or just typing your mixtape name and using Ctrl + A), right-click on it, choose "Get Info," and clear all of it using the options in that menu. 4. Compress your mixtape into a .zip or .rar, upload, and give the link to the head of the exchange (in this case, that'd be Mike (the_gloaming09)). That should fix everything Your mixtapes will be sent out on June 3rd. Let me know if this is enough time. Also this is meant to be sort of a mini mixtape exchange so that's why the dates are smaller. In fact if people want I can make the deadlines sooner. edit: Also I'm imposing a rule that you must have AT LEAST 100 posts on this forum to sign up. Last time I know I had to send my mixtape to someone else. 11. performance of Tamer Animals:
  12. Maybe I should be a little more specific rather than just say yes or no, because it depends on different situations. I mean I think it should overall be eradicated. However if it would be used for research to help prevent other viruses or future diseases then I'd be for keeping it. But if it's going to be used as a biological weapon then I'm not.
  13. :inquisitive: What are you trying to call the President?
  14. ^that's expensive.
  15. If it can be rid of then get rid of it. Why must nations consider keeping it for the use of biological weapons?
  16. I could organize it if you guys like
  17. you gotta admit it was pretty funny how they switched the camera when they were just about to kiss
  18. that may have been me   @ the video
  19. I think you should go for it. I think it'd be a great experience to go to school in another country and get to experience life there.
  20. rain on and off... but cloudy throughout
  21. not really too impressed. Actually pretty mediocre.
  22. no... And it rained all night... AND then all day
