  1. You make all good points Saffire. I agree that a lot of it is governments problem in so many areas trying to suppress peoples lifestyles and true potentials. I mean you can even see that pretty much anything the government touches turns to shit in the end, because they have too much on their plate and cannot fully control everything at once. So I do think that the freer the market the better it is for competition. However (now I may be wrong, because I haven't studied it so in depth), but isn't the main reason for the housing market to bubble and collapse was because banks were given permission (I think under the Clinton Admin.) to basically hand out loans to people that could not pay them? So in that sense do you think that there should be regulation or any kind of regulation of that sort?
  2. Those videos were ridiculous to watch. Just how people were literally not doing anything, not making any kind of threats whatsoever yet they were beaten and jailed. What a bunch of cowardly pigs to be attacking a bunch of innocent people not doing anything wrong but expressing their "free" rights. Of course though the system is so complex that I'm sure there's always something to arrest people. Also another reason why I guess a lot of police trials are typically never aired or make it too far due to technicalities.
  3. I'm sorry for your loss  I've never lost a friend before but I've lost family and it really sucks. Mostly more of a shock initially until it really hits you one day. But I agree with what violet said in you have to do what works for you. It takes time, but at first it's tough.
  4. It is interesting to read. Though I agree with eddie that the prices are ridiculously high. However I've had my iMac for almost 5 years and haven't had one issue with it at all which is great!
  5. It's up to you. Also I'm making it so I'll be giving out mixtapes soon after I receive them, so there's a good chance you'll get more time to review it. But if you can let me know soonish that'd be great. Actually if everyone who is uncertain can give me their final answer or people still have about 6 hours to sign up. then I'll mix up names and send out your mixtape partner. So you guys should get it by tonight sometime.
  6. to add to the songs listed I also recommend: From Which I Came/A Magic World, Fresh Blood, Trouble with Dreams, Railroad Man, Hey Man (Now You're Really Living), In the Yard Behind the Church
  7. are you sure? give me your final answer by tomorrow.
  8. That I have to get dropped off at work rather than driving. So my lunch will be cut short since I have to walk to get it. Also having to come in a bit earlier for work.
  9. okay done... sorry for the mixup... now I have to check all the posts to make sure i did it right...haha
  10. oops... i put you down by accident... i 'll remove you if you like
  11. I guess then in that case from what you described then that's fine if in reality the relationship is dead. And good news for you... congrats!
  12. that's a tough situation. Because when I was growing up I was really good friends with a girl that I liked, but I was afraid that if I did something it might compromise our friendship if in the end it didn't work or whatever.
  13. good for you, but like violet said that sucks for his gf.
  14. I had plans to hang out with my brother since he's back from college and I haven't had a chance to see or talk to him in a while, but he blew me off to hang out with his friends without letting me know.
  15. Do you also believe that there really was a talking snake, a man who could split a sea in two, and also the existence of unicorns, giants and fauns/satyrs? because all of those are brought up in the bible. Also I think it's not fair and/or ridiculous that if you are only follower of Jesus you are rewarded to go to heaven, especially since religions are based on your location and culture. So for example I'm sure if you grew up in the Middle East or Asia I'm sure you'd believe in something else and have just as strong convictions. But if you want to believe that, that's fine.
  16. i'm disappointed in this thread. I was expecting a full list of treilly's rankings
  17. ^not to turn this into a pro choice/life debate but I agree what you have said. Yes it is unfortunate and not an easy decision to make. But being that it is part of her body she has the right to decide if she wants the baby or not. Not to compare it to something like a tumor or cancer, but if someone had that they should be able to decide what they want to do about it. When it comes to a persons body they should have the final say. But still... I'm not saying that the decision of an abortion is easy. It's a grueling process that I'm sure would scar the mother for rest of her life.
  18. similarly to Carrie... my eye has been annoying me because the side of my eyelid keeps twitching now and then.
  19. It sounds like perhaps it might be a panic attack?!
  20. I'd like to know how some of these ridiculous laws get passed in the first place
  21. I agree... plus it's a womans body, so their choice. that's ridiculous... stupid religious folk
  22. pretty much how I see things and being legal. But I think that pot should be legal... it seems like it could help in many regards ("war" on drugs, taxes, etc), also it's much less deadly than alcohol and cigarettes which are legal
  23. does the apartment have and security cams that can catch the guy?
