It wont be number 1 for sure. Its #4 on Itune's. Will make top 20 I think at #17. Will proberly go higher if it got radio play.

I disagree, VH is heavier and has turned a few anti-coldplay people into liking their new stuff. Ive been looking around other forums and stuff and a lot of people are saying 'i normally hate coldplay's songs but I really like this one' For sure. If they sent an e-mail saying 'all download our single to get to #1' it WILL be number #1 not like they would send that but they have a lot of power in terms of sales now :P

Im gonna wait for the physical copy. I remember becoming a big coldplay fan shortly before X&Y came out and getting my copy of X&Y, running back home and playing it :D most amazing thing ever, im gonna do that with Viva La Vida, no doubt :P

This is amazing, Violet Hill is at #1 on the UK chart and VLV is at #2 on the same chart! I dont think any band/artist has managed to do this before.

The leaked video (which ive seen) of LIT is a 'rough cut' which means there could be lyrics for the album version :)

I had the same problem yesterday, I was not at home though but when I went on my home pc, it worked so if you cant sort anything else, try another pc if you can. Sounds like a great idea, I wish they would add some UK dates though :P

The reason why Brixton has a bigger % is because most British people are at home after work and have signed up for it while its still quite early in america where most coldplay fan's there are at work so later the MSG one will proberly get up a lot higher, lets hope and more new stuff :P

How can you sign up for Brixton? It keeps flashing between Brixton and MSG on the top left but it wont appear with any sign up's, someone who has been able to load Brixton, please help :(

It varies and depends on the current popularity. When I downloaded things I dont understand a few months ago, Fix You and Talk were at the top and they were two of the latest releases and older popular tracks such as Trouble were much lower so I think its based on time :P Havent even heard 'Viva La Vida' on radio yet, I think the majority of the people downloading it are people pre-ordering the new album or Coldplay fans.

Yeh, your right, you can notice it all around the internet too such as the comments on youtube. Allthough there are still people who hate coldplay, funny how nothing constructive comes from them though, just 'coldplay are boring@@@@ zzzzzzzzzzzzz@@@@' when they most likely have not even listened to more than 5 of their songs. One of the DJ's on Kerrang! radio said he never liked anything Coldplay done but he said VH was 'dark and amazing' and saying he loved the song. The future is looking bright for Coldplay ;)

Violet Hill is number 15 on the midweek official chart. There is talk of an upset and Coldplay becoming number 1 by sunday, we will have to wait and see :)

Great song, love it! :D Cant really compare it to VH though, two very different songs. If the rest of the album would be as great as this, its gonna be the best album ever! 300th post on this awesome topic :)

After only one day of radio play starting yesterday, Violet Hill has allready made it onto the A-List (radio playlist) on Radio 1! Coldplay are only one of the few artists/band's to do this without moving up from a lower list, even speed of sound started on the B-list on its first week and the only one to move onto it so quick.
