  1. No I wasn't  The Dell manual (which is what I originally used to take out the cooling fan) never mentioned anything like that.
  2. I can't boot it from safe mode, normal mode, or from a disc. As soon as I enter my password, it just gives me a blue screen with a bunch of errors, then restarts. Well in order to get to the cooling fan, I have to take out the memory modules. I actually took the computer apart and put it back together again, just to make sure everything was ok, and I couldn't find any visible problems.
  3. Back on topic plz.
  4. For the first time in my life, I'm actually considering that. I love Windows, and some day when I'm able to afford a very nice computer that won't break, I'll buy a nice Toshiba or something like that. However, now that I'm going off to college soon, I'm thinking I'll need something more reliable (reliability is one of the few things which I find Mac has over windows). This is my second Dell computer in less than 3 years, by the way.
  5. I mean this guy talks about how he wishes he had had the opportunity to travel, how he regrets never proposing to his high school sweetheart, etc. He's saying that not only can we not let fear get in the way of reaching our goals in life, but also that we shouldn't wait forever to accomplish them.
  6. I think the point is really that we should live our lives without regrets, live every day to the limit, and try our hardest to make the best of the time we have here, because we never know when our time could be shortened.
  7. Yea. My parents bought it and they think Dells are by far the best. I even had a cheaper Toshiba picked out (with all the same specs) but they said no no no you're getting a Dell :(
  8. True words man true words. I really want to live my life to the limit now, with no regrets whatsoever.
  9. His greatest regret in life was not proposing to his high school sweetheart (after buying her an engagement ring) :(
  10. We only get one life. Might as well make the best of it.
  11. Absolutely beautiful...coming from a dying man: More here:
  12. This hit me hard...
  13. My laptop (a pretty recent model of the Dell Inspiron series) tends to get a lot of dust in the fan, and sometimes the fan gets clogged up, so I take it apart, remove the dust from the fan, and put the laptop back together again. I recently unclogged my fan for the third time, and something went wrong when I put it back together, because every time I turn it on, I log into my account and it immediately tells me 'dumping physical memory to disc, start your computer in safe mode, etc'. When I start my computer in safe mode, it does the same thing. I figured fuckit, I'll just load a new copy of windows onto my drive and start from scratch. So I put a new copy of windows onto a CD and inserted the CD into the disc drive. But then when I try to boot windows from the disc (hitting f12 while the computer is loading), the computer just freezes, and I have to turn it off. Wat do? Is it a motherboard problem, or a hard drive problem? If it's one of these two, could I just buy a new one and replace it? I'd rather not buy a whole new computer... I'm not an expert or anything so could somebody please offer some advice? If you're fairly knowledgeable with computers, please add me on msn or contact me by email (both are in my contact info) because nobody ever checks this section of the forum and I doubt I'll get a lot of replies.

Here's an article on the issue: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/terrorism-peter-king-draws-fire-hearing-radicalization-islam/story?id=13088923 And here's the response of a Muslim Congressman: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/peter-king-defends-house-radicalization-hearing-keith-ellison/story?id=13103800
  16. I thought the rule was that the location of the player being fouled is the location of the free kick, right? I'm not positive, but if that's the case, then the location of Djourou's foot doesn't matter. However, even though Messi was inside the penalty box, I still would have just called a free kick from right outside, since Messi probably wasn't going to score on that run (and thus doesn't deserve a free goal from a PK).
  17. Bad calls can go both ways. This was inside the box. Technically it should have been a penalty kick. The ref was standing right there too. To me, the Van Persie call was a mistake, but this call (and various others throughout the night) were mistakes as well.
  18. Again, scroll up and read the comments. I agree with both of you, but people earlier were saying it 'cost Arsenal the match'.
  19. No no, read up. People were saying that the officials 'cost Arsenal the match', as if Barcelona didn't do anything to deserve a win. I'm not desputing that Arsenal could have one, I'm just saying the refs didn't hand Barcelona the game on a silver platter, as some seem to believe. Agreed with this. Would he really have taken such a poor shot from such a poor location had he been onside (and known he was onside)? With some speed, he would have been pretty much alone to dribble up for a 1 on 1 with the keeper. But yea, I still wouldn't have carded him for it.
  20. Members of the month? Mike and Lore should be members of the year. Cheesy? Well it's kind of true. Go Mike and Lore.
  21. MARKWALLIS Sorry, I just wanted to type his username...it's exciting.

  23. For anyone who might still agree with Wenger that the officiating cost Arsenal the match: (Full article here) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3457036/Arsenal-v-Barcelona-stats-are-grim-reading-for-Arsene-Wenger.html
