Uefa Champions League/Europa League Thread 2010-2011
“The best team we’ve faced in my time in management. No one has given us a hiding like that” — Sir Alex Ferguson about Barcelona I was scared shitless for the first ten minutes. United came out very strong, but faded pretty quickly and allowed Barsa to get into their groove, which meant the beginning of the end for United. After Rooney's goal I thought they had a shot...but of course the other #10 came to play and after that goal I knew it was all over. It was by far the most hyped I've ever seen Lionel Messi! Loved it. It was truly inspirational how Abidal was the first to lift the trophy. I'm so proud of him and the rest of the squad.

Things That Shouldn't Be Illegal
Why would you get bashed for that? That's totally sensible. Anything that doesn't harm another human being should be legal, because laws are just opinions with guns. Who am I to judge what you do with your life, and who are you to judge me for what I do with mine? If somebody else wants to snort cocaine off a hooker's ass, in what way does that affect me? It doesn't, and therefore I don't have the right to judge. "There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible to live without breaking laws." – Ayn Rand

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Agreed on most points. If United is to win this game, they'll have to make some great saves throughout the first half, and hope for a counterattack goal near the end from Hernandez to steal the game from Barsa...but I don't think that will happen. I think Messi will slip one in in the first half and United will struggle to come back.

What about Dfit?- The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Let's not forget the fact that Iniesta loves to show up big when it counts. This video gives me chills every time. Perhaps the best use of a Coldplay song in history. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUpF8netIrc]YouTube - Dramatic Iniesta Goal vs Chelsea 1-1 2009 HD[/ame] Anyone else think he'll score at Wembley on Saturday?- The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Iniesta is slightly better in my opinion, simply because of his versatility and ability to do just about anything. If I had to rank the best footballers in the world right now, I'd probably have Iniesta at #2 and Xavi somewhere in the top 5. They're both brilliant footballers.- The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
After watching both videos, there's no doubt in my mind that Messi had the better season. Messi's goals were beautiful. They required a lot more skill than the majority of C Ronaldo's goals. Most of C Ronaldo's goals were either great shots or simple tap-ins, while nearly all of Messi's goals had long build ups and brilliant dribbles. Messi is a true artist with the football. Pele? Maradona? If/when Messi wins a World Cup, he will be hailed as the greatest of all time. Is my opinion biased? Probably. But I honestly think Messi is a much better footballer all-around.- The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Lolz I'm a Barsa fan and I can admit that C Ronaldo (can we remember to use the C? I was confused for a bit) is a great footballer. He's one of the best strikers in the world right now, but I wouldn't put him ahead of Messi. And he does dive too much, although he seems to have cut back a bit since his days with Man U.- Family Decides to Keep Child's Gender a Secret
http://moms.today.com/_news/2011/05/25/6715267-he-she-or-it-family-keeps-babys-gender-a-secret The first question people ask after hearing of a new arrival is usually, “Boy or girl?” Friends and family of one Canadian couple are getting no answer to this simple inquiry. Kathy Witterick and her husband David Stocker have decided to keep baby Storm's gender a secret. Boy or girl? They're not telling. Baby Storm, in red, gets a cuddle from brother Jazz. “We've decided not to share Storm's sex for now — a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm's lifetime (a more progressive place?),” the couple wrote in an email to friends and family after Storm’s birth, according to the Toronto Star. Other than Storm’s parents, the only other people to know Storm’s gender are the couple’s two sons, Jazz, 5, and Kio, 2, the midwives who delivered the baby and a close family friend. They got the idea to raise a genderless child from a book they found in the library, and told the paper the secrecy is about giving their children freedom. “What we noticed is that parents make so many choices for their children. It’s obnoxious,” Stocker told the paper. He and his wife allow Jazz and Kio to choose their clothing from both the boys' and girls' departments – including pink dresses - and how they want to wear their hair. Although many parents rebel against traditional pink and blue clothing for their babies, and give dolls to their boys and trucks to their girls, Storm’s parents’ decision seems to have touched a nerve, sparking discussion on news outlets and blogs around the world. Comments on the original story accuse the parents of being “irresponsible,” confusing their children, and setting up Storm for “future damage.” “Reading the story I thought about Storm’s brothers,” writes Lisa Belkin in the New York Times blog Motherlode. “What message is being sent to them, telling them that their sibling’s sex is an unspillable secret. Doesn’t that in itself give gender the all-defining importance that these parents are trying to avoid?” This isn’t the first time a family has decided to raise a genderless child. A couple in Sweden kept the gender of their 2-year-old child, named Pop, a secret, saying they want “Pop to grow up more freely and avoid being forced into a specific gender mold from the outset.” The latest stories about Pop date back to last summer. Wonder how that's working out?- Will you listen to a released single before the album release?
The whole purpose of a lead single is to get people excited for the album. Who doesn't listen to them before the album comes out?- Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (OUT THIS FRI(ROW)/SAT (UK)!!) - [Walking Man and Videos + GIFs + Scre

Maybe the streets alight? a·light verb /əˈlīt/ (of a bird) Descend from the air and settle - a lovely blue swallow alighted on a branch Descend from a train, bus, or other form of transportation - the conductor alights to push the cable car completely around So basically the streets stepped out of a taxi. :wtf:- Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (OUT THIS FRI(ROW)/SAT (UK)!!) - [Walking Man and Videos + GIFs + Scre

I'll download it just so I can be cool and complain about it. No in all honesty I'll download it in the hopes that it's much better than their last two albums, but I really doubt it will be.- Eradicate the last known stocks of Smallpox, or research it more?
Completely missing the point. They meant if someone ELSE creates a biological weapon out of it. The US and Russia aren't proposing making a biological weapon. I have to agree. That or VLV... both sound like they were made using a rhyming dictionary. Parachutes and AROBTTH, however...wow. I'll never fall out of love with those two albums. Fair enough. As long as you don't try to claim Martin is a better lyricist than N Gallagher, I'm content. NO. LORE! >a idiot >your coming off :laugh3: Noel Gallagher is one of the best lyricists in the world, in my opinion. I too would love for Coldplay to use more Gallagher-esque lyrics. Marry me. Let's go over some Coldplay lyrics from the past. The hardest PART was letting go not taking PART that was the hardest PART Most of Coldplay's lyrics (post-AROBTTH especially) sound like they're straight out of a rhyming dictionary. Exactly.
