I know. It's like these people are bloodsucking vultures, feeding off of Coldplay's success. Like I said before, I had never heard of this Joe Satriani before he started suing Coldplay. I think he's just pissed off that his song wasn't a #1 hit like Coldplay's.

Radiohead's music is sad, but it's not depressing to me. It's very uplifting and beautiful.

I get tired of defending Coldplay, mostly because I know that Chris Martin is a talented songwriter, and much better at writing lyrics than a freshman in poetry class. This whole article is once again rehashing all the negative things that critics have said. I don't see why people have to crap on Coldplay. So they don't like the music, big deal. There are plenty of artists I don't like, but I don't crap on them. The beauty is that there's so much music in the world, that you can like and listen to what you want. And leave the rest alone.

Don't get me wrong, I find the clip funny. I just don't find the idea of Thom Yorke being a greased up deaf guy as funny.

The Beatles have influenced practically every musical act out there. If there wasn't any Beatles, there wouldn't have been any Coldplay, or U2, or Pink Floyd, or Muse, or any of the other popular rock bands around. They might be a tad overrated (as in they're not the greatest band in the world), but they did influence tons of other bands. And they are good.

I don't think they'll rehash Parachutes. After all, the band is in a different place now than they were then, and they won't want to write the same kind of music. There's a huge difference between Violet Hill and Spies, IMO. That being said, it might sound like Violet Hill/Viva La Vida/Glass Of Water/any current song, but more stripped down and acoustic. I think that's what he meant, not that Coldplay are going to put out a Parachutes II.
