So is the US release date the same as the Finland date?

I will probably be sleeping when it's released (the release time is 4am my time, and I have a dr's appointment tomorrow afternoon), but I'm going to head over to Coldplay.com right after I wake up. Hopefully I'll be listening to the new album as I drink my morning coffee. :)

I'm always surprised by all the hate directed towards Coldplay. They make great music. I guess some people like to feel superior (my music is better than yours, and that kind of thing.)

I love Cat Stevens and I'm a huge fan. But even I have to admit that this is a pile of rubbish. I've heard both songs, and neither really sound the same, other than a few notes. I think Cat is jumping on the 'Coldplay stole my song' bandwagon, since it's so popular to say it nowadays. Next, there will be another famous musician saying Viva La Vida was his song. :rolleyes:

I think he's saying that the songs are similar. And they are, in a way. I don't think he's going to pursue legal action, he's probably just making a statement that they sound similar (which they do.)

This isn't a thread about the controversy surrounding the statement he made many years ago. This is a thread on his music...purely his music. So anybody picked up the new album yet? It's called Roadsinger, and it just came out two days ago. I got it, and I really like it - it's similar to the kind of music he was doing in his classic albums (Teaser and The Firecat, Tea For The Tillerman, etc.) It's a great album. My favorite album is probably Mona Bone Jakon, though. Love that album. :)

The live album that's coming out on the 15th...is that what's going to be available to download from Coldplay.com for free, or is it a new song?

An hour isn't really too long. All of Dream Theater's albums are 74 mins, but they have a great flow. X&Y was more of a collection of songs than an album.

I think it would have been better if it was shorter. None of the songs are bad, but the album drags.
