The only crime against music is generalizing that because someone listens to a certain artist or genre, it's shite. No artist is shite. I don't like The Jonas Brothers, but I don't care if someone else likes them. I like Radiohead, but I don't care if someone else doesn't like them. It's MY music, and I know what I like (as Genesis once said.)
  2. Nina Gordon - Kiss Me Till It Bleeds
  3. I hope she wasn't serious. Nobody can be that braindead. I seriously hope Chris stays far, far away from her. The Luna collaboration was cool, this won't be. There's a difference between good pop music, and teenybopper pop music. He should collaborate with Madonna or someone like that.
  4. I'm listening to the A Hard Day's Night album ATM, and loving it. The Beatles is the greatest band in the history of rock 'n roll.
  5. I always knew that drugs were bad for you, but I never knew they turned you into a dog.
  6. I own Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and X&Y on CD. I bought Live 2003, Viva La Vida, and Prospeckt's March on Itunes, and everything else in my library (save for the first three) are digital downloads.
  7. Strawberry Swing 226 + In My Place 218 -
  8. This must be the longest running thread on Coldplaying. Wow. :o
  9. I used to feel that way about the whole Pablo Honey album, but I listened to it last night and was surprised that I was really digging it. I think people hate on Creep, because it's not Radiohead's best song (by any means.) It's just the first song that everyone heard. I could name 60 songs from their catalogue (at least 60 songs) that are better than Creep. That being said, I still dig Creep. It's not a bad song.
  10. Chris, Chris, Chris. :shame: If you want to be taken seriously as a band, collaborate with legends like Stevie Wonder and Tori Amos, not teenyboppers like Miley Cyrus.
  11. What's the big deal? I think she should just take the test and be done with it, and not make a big fuss about it. It's not like she's the only one taking the test, so it isn't exactly discrimination.
  12. She wants to be one of the cool kids.
  13. Nina Gordon - 2003

Welcome! This is a great forum, you'll love it here. :)
  15. I'm starting Prey by Michael Crichton.
  16. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone - 8.5/10 It's a good start to the film series, but they've done so much better. Each movie has been better than the last, so this is probably the weakest out of all of them.
  17. Anybody that throws a hissy fit like Miley did over not meeting Radiohead gets a negative in my book.
  18. Never heard it Radiohead - Lurgee
  19. Yeah, I'm late, but Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody!
  20. Tori Amos Peter Gabriel David Bowie Prince Christina Aguilera Michael Jackson Bands U2 Depeche Mode Mew The Secret Machines Muse
  21. 1. A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Their Masterpiece. It's just perfect. 2. Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends - Just a step behind A Rush, this album is absolutely brilliant. 3. X&Y - A work of pure beauty. 4. Parachutes - Early signs of what's to come.
  22. Coldplay - Sleeping Sun
  23. The thing people need to realize is that every artist under the sun has ripped off another artist. Either intentionally or unintentionally. George Harrison did it, Elvis Presley did it, even King Crimson ripped off Yes (and I have lots of respect for both bands.) The Mars Volta ripped off King Crimson as well, and I love The Mars Volta. Whether Coldplay 'borrowed' something for one of their songs is inconsequential to me. I honestly don't give a crap. Viva La Vida is a great song, and if Coldplay were inspired by a riff from an artist I haven't even heard of, that's fine with me. Bono himself even said it, "Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief." Music inspires other music.
