  1. Does the Roundhouse really hold 6500 people? I've seen shows from the Electric Proms on TV and it doesn't look that big. I've applied, but I suspect I've used all my CPing karma already...
  2. Aw, crap, I read the question wrong. D'oh! I thought ti was an album announcement date and I thought the Monday after Glasto - June 27th. Didn't realise you were talking about specific tracklisting - can't imagine they'll have a tracklisting ready in the next fortnight if they're back in the studio.:\ Oh well, I'm stuck with June 27th...
  3. Way to go, Antonia! :D
  4. Wouldn't want to get you in trouble! But I have just checked the Messenger and it was a You Tube link they gave: Maybe that one's okay because ETIAW has already been released???
  5. Well in the latest Messenger there was a link to a cover of ETIAW so I can't see it being a problem
  6. Yeah, I always try to do that too :P I got in to Coldplay when AROBTTH came along, and I loved VLVODAAHF and it all depends on what kind of mood I'm in as to what I'll say is my favourite album. It's interesting that the comparison was made between VLV (single) and Rhianna - I've always been a big fan of pop, so maybe that's why the fourth album appeals to me? I really like ETIAW, it's upbeat, it's a great summer festival singalong, so damn catchy, but listening to the other new songs, I think there's plenty of stuff to suit all shades of the Coldplay spectrum. Major Minus is my fave of all the new stuff - if there are people that don't like either one or the other of those two tracks, then it's time to start looking for a new band.
  7. Think I've finally settled on Major Minus, it just edges out Charlie Brown (not heard Princess of China)
  8. Bugger, just realised I won't get back from work until about half eight on Thursday, which must be half nine Coldplay time. Urgh, this after I missed all the fun on Friday being away. Should I go through my diary and post all my busy days for the next couple of months for you guys? It seems whenever I don't have a moments peace, they have something awesome planned  I usually have one crazy week at work that's either the last week in Sept or the first week in Oct... wanna guess when the album will arrive? :P
  9. Kids going out of their way to be nasty to each other
  10. ETIAW ... even the haters have to admit, it's damn catchy :P
  11. Well I appear to be one of a handful of people who actually like ETIAW, but I really like your version too. Bravo! :D
  12. I wonder if they'll answer some of the Twitter questions that were sent on Saturday?
  13. Aw, cool, thanks a lot :)

    Welcome back :)
  15. I took the lock sign to be a joke because it's a super-injunction that no one is supposed to talk about

I just like listening to the show. In between playing the records they interview the person about their life and they often pick really interesting people. I've never really thought about the concept of the show before. I just like hearing music that I've never come across before, and I like being surprised by some peoples choices. It's just a 40 min radio programme people, don't take it so seriously! :)
  17. I just got back from a trip to Toronto where I went to my first baseball game and now I'm hooked. Absolutely loved it. Will have to call myself a Blue Jays fan... got a feeling I'm setting myself up for a lifetime of heartache  Have to say though, I don't understand all the numbers on the screen and all the acronyms and stuff, maybe you guys will be able to help me out?
  18. We'll have to do it again, Lore, next time we'll just have to be tougher elves :furious3::smash:
  19. I guess every once in a while there is a kids film that everyone falls in love with and The Lion King was one of them. ET is another, and I've never seen that either, even though I was the target audience when it first came out :shame:
  20. Your missing nothing as far as Titanic is concerned!
  21. To the disbelief of my friends, I've never seen it.
  22. Since I got to hear Shiver at the Christmas gig in Liverpool, I'd have to join the legions requesting Warning Sign
  23. Urgh, I was not impressed. Personally, I like Scotty best - it was nice to hear him sing a little higher than he normally does. That James fella just annoys the crap out of me, I don't know what it is, he's just irked me since day 1, so he was never going to win be over with a Coldplay cover. I could have done without the boyband choreography too.

Well for those who think only being able to listen to 8 records over and over again, right at the end of the programme, the presenter tells the guest to imagine that the waves come crashing in and sweep them away, and they are only able to save one. The guest then has to nominate which is the one record they would save above the others - so you could have to listen to just one song for ever!
  25. I really like the new REM album 'Collapse in to Now'
