The subway is the easiest, fastest and safest way of travelling in Mexico City and it's extremely cheap, but the problem is that it closes at 0:00 am, so there is the posibility that you didn't catch it even if you leave as fast as you can, besides in some concerts I don't know why, the "ciudad deportiva" station is closed earlier (the one that it's outside the Foro Sol), so you have to run either to "velodromo" or "puebla" which are the other closest stations... Anyway when the subway is closed there are always a lot of taxis and also "microbuses" that take you to different zones of the city... but if you don't wanna take risks probably the best option is to call a safe taxi. About the 2nd Foro Sol date, no idea, I'm also waiting more information about it, because I'm doubtful if buying a ticket for the Guadalajara concert or wait for that 2nd date ( I have ticket for the Foro Sol concert, but definitively only one date is not enough for me :cool: )

I'm from Mexico City and the truth is that is not as bad and dangerous as everybody thinks, yes it's a very big city and has a lot of insecurity but there aren't kidnappers in every corner. In fact I've lived here my whole life and I have never been mugged neither raped nor kidnapped and definitely nor murdered :cool: I've been victim of pickpockets a couple of times but that's all (yeah maybe I'm a very lucky person because most people I know has been mugged at least once). You just have to be careful, take the precautions you would have in any big city, stay in touristic areas, and don't wear jewelry, expensive watches or stuff like that, and if you bring expensive devices like iphones, laptops, etc. don't take them out in the streets, and use "taxis de sitio" (you call to a phone number and a taxi picks you up in the place you are). But don't worry I've seen a lot of foreigner tourists going from here to there and they look like they are having a great time. About the hotel as Ricardo has already told you, Plaza Universidad is far from the Foro Sol, there is one Holiday Inn closer I think it's called Plaza Dali, it's in the same avenue that the entrance of the Foro Sol, so there is no chance that the taxi will get lost or something, or you can stay in any hotel near the Airport, it's like 2 km away so it's still really close, or as Pris told you can stay at any hotel in the "Centro Historico", you will have a lot of turistic places near and is not so far from the Foro Sol (5 km aprox.). About touristic places, well there a lot to see here, the Centro Historico is where you'll find most of the stuff, or you can visit the Museum of Anthropology in Chapultepec, another option is taking a turistic bus called Turibus that will take you to a lot of places and you can get out of it in any place you like and then take the next one, so you can visit a lot places without the fear of getting lost. And although you might spend almost a whole day, a trip to Teotihuacan pyramids is totally worth it.

I just read on coldplaymexico twitter that tomorrow ticketmaster will sell tickets for all sections, so all the people who couldn't get tickets in the banamex presale still have the chance to get General A section tickets (or any other you want) :) Good luck tomorrow

Gracias :) y felicidades tambien por los boletos en las 2 ciudades :cool: Pues cuando llegue a formarme habria unas 10 personas adelante de mi a lo mucho, pero hasta eso que se fueron tardando en llegar y los que iban llegando la mayoria tenian facha de ser revendedores :( , ya por ahi despues de las 9 o 10 a.m. como que poco aqui poco fue llegando mas gente... y si se hizo la fila un poco larga pero leve, sobre todo porque el palacio tiene fama de tener filas hiper caoticas y atascadas, pero todo muy tranquilo yo creo que a las 11:15 ya todos lo que estaban formados habian comprado sus boletos

Si asi luego son esos (/$%·$& de las taquillas de ticketmaster, uno todo angustiado por conseguir los mejores lugares y ellos regandola bien gacho... bueno pero hasta eso que creo que hoy nos fue bien :P, ahora nomas a esperar a marzo para ahora si verlos tan cerca como querramos estar afuera formados :D

Ahhhhh ya tengo en mi mano mi boleto General A :) :) :) :) Que chidooooo Creo que mis miedos eran infundados, me fui a formar a las 7:00 am afuera del palacio de los deportes (no pensaba regalarles mi dinero por cargos a esos de idiotas de ticketmaster jaja) pero pues todo muy tranquilo a las 11:05 ya tenia mis boletos... y pues como llegue a las 11:40 al trabajo ya mejor me pongo a trabajar antes de que regañen mas jajaja.

Don't worry i have just checked on ticketmaster.com.mx and there are still General A tickets available and i thought that at this hour they would be sould out, but they aren't. I think that there is a good chance that there will be still tickets on saturday because at this moment of the day everyone who have a banamex card and wanted to go has already buyed their tickets... and if on saturday there aren't available there is still the posibility of a second date in Mexico City.

TENGO MIEDO! TENGO MIEDO! TENGO MIEDO! No inventen estoy supernerviosa, creo que no podre dormir hoy :S, es que tengo un triste pasado con eso de los boletos para Coldplay. Cuando vinieron en el 2003 casi no iba a conciertos y era muy novata para eso de las compras de boletos y a parte pense que a casi nadie en Mexico le gustaba Coldplay, no los compre cuando salieron y cuando ya quise comprarlos nomas me dijeron "ya no hay". Y luego para el del 2007 me tuve que ir a formar al auditorio porque no tenia tarjeta y no queria ir a un mixup ya que aun era estudihambre y pagarles a las ratas de TM cargos ya era demasiado para mi corto presupuesto y como tenia un estupido examen final a las 7:00 am ya no me pude formar tan temprano y nomas alcanze lugares hasta la fregada de lejos :( Por eso es que estoy tan nerviosa presiento que algo malo pasara y no alcanzare general A, y de hecho pues en los ultimos años de mi vida he ido a muchos conciertos y siempre he conseguido lugares en las localidades que quiero (hasta en esos que medio Mexico quiere ir y se aperran todos bien gacho) y nunca he tenido problemas, hasta me he ganado varias veces fila 0 y todo, pero de plano con mi banda favorita, osea Coldplay no se que diablos me pasa... Bueno perdon por mi choro pero necesitaba desahogarme jajaja Saludos y suerte a todos.

Ah bueno yo era una alta de lentes, creo que traia una playera negra ese dia... si yo tambien todavia medio me acuerdo de varios de los que andabamos por ahi, me pasaron una foto donde salimos varios posando con nuestros autografos y en esa salgo yo, me imagino que has de tener esa foto (bueno a lo mejor hasta la tomaron con tu camara jajaja) BTW que chido ese dia :cool: definitvamente ire de nuevo a acosarlos ahora en marzo jajaja aunque con eso de que ahora sera entrada general pos como andaremos todos formaditos ni tiempo va a dar :P

Hahaha... eso me hizo recordar hace 3 años cuando fui a comprar los boletos al Auditorio Nacional, pegaron unas hojas con los precios en las taquillas hechas en 2 minutos en word que decian Cold Play... y como era diciembre y cerca de Navidad y eso, estaban poniendo una mini pista de hielo ahi afuera del auditorio y dijimos... osea que estos gueyes nos iran a vender boletos para su pista de hielo pa que juguemos frio un rato o que... :laugh3:

Orale muchas gracias por la info del mapa y los precios, increible que mejor los fans lo hagan y no los inutiles de ticketmaster que de eso viven, de hecho como puede ser posible que estemos a poco mas de 24 horas de que salgan los boletos y aun nada de nada. :confused:

Oh yeah I forgot, ticketmaster.com.mx do that too, although they put "sold out" and if you ask in a ticketmaster center or by phone they say all the tickets are sold out, but ticketmaster.com.mx usually free tickets in almost all sections, however you have to check everyday from now on to March because they'll do it at any moment and they will be sold quickly.

Uy pues yo te recomendaria que si hicieras lo imposible para conseguir una tarjeta,aunque creo que hay veces que segun si hacen un reserva de boletos para la venta General pero creo que es un porcentaje muy chiquito. Yo creo que de la primera fecha si van a volar en la preventa pero yo creo que igual si abren la segunda si llegan.

That "ruco" thing is a reference of a comment I did on another post about old people ("rucos") like to be seated in the concerts :P About the "Verde A" section I have never been there, although I think I was once in "Naranja A" that is above it, and although you are much closer to the stage than in other seated sections, I feel that is not worth the money, you are still far from the band. I recommend you to buy General A anyway, you don't have to be in the queue for 12 hours, you can arrive at the moment the concert begins and if you don't mind being standing the 2 hours of the concert it's ok because all people try desperately to get to the front, so the back of the section is almost empty so you can go to the restroom anytime you want, or sit in the floor before the encores if you're tired, and as General A is a relatively small section you'll still be not so far from the stage, however that can change depending how big they'll make General A (sometimes it's bigger than others), maybe if this time General A it's too big maybe Verde A would be a better choice, but as those idiots of ticketmaster haven't put the map we don't know.

Finally, the range of prices!! but those guys of ocesa/ticketmaster are really exasperating they didn't put the price of each section or the map... Anyway I think the prices are ok, the average for a popular band in Foro Sol... but the best part is that with that range of prices definitively there isn't gonna be Platino section, the front rows will be General A :dance:... and in fact the 1350 pesos tickets surely will be the Verde A section (you know, the "ruco" section :laugh3: ). I think GA will cost 1100 or 1200 or something like that.

I want Warning Sign too!!!!! Now they're coming to Latin America, I'm really hoping they'll play it here, I'll cry if they do, I love that song.

I hate Platino section, I HATE IT!!!! Exacto, creo que la peor parte de los asientos hasta el frente ni siquiera es el precio ridiculamente alto que tendrian los boletos y que muchos fans no podrian pagar, si no que como menciona Pris las primeras filas jamas salen a la venta y siempre terminan en las manos de los Posers VIP y a nosotros los simples mortales y verdaderos fans ya nos venderian boletos hasta la fila 15 y de lado, si bien nos va. Yo tengo la esperanza de que esos tipos de OCESA hagan bien su trabajo y se den cuenta que este es un concierto de GA, que Coldplay es una banda de rock, no tendran guitarrazos ni habra slam ni nada por el estilo pero es rock a fin de cuentas, que esas fresadas de platino son para conciertos demasiado poperos o donde el publico principal al que va dirigido es demiasiado joven o demasiado ruco y pues que este no es el caso.

As a woman it's pretty easy to sneak a camera, you just have to put it inside your bra and that's all :P. I have done it several times at Foro Sol and I haven't had any problem at all, once you pass the entrance with your camera hidden, you can get it out with no problems, just in case if a guy from security is near you take your pictures quickly and hide it.

Orale no pues yo nomas tengo una amiga que si es muy fan de Coldplay y tambien dijo que cuando regresaran compraria boletos de hasta enfrente, aunque pues como que no es del estilo de las que se formaria 12 horas antes afuera del foro sol pa agarrar buen lugar como yo jajaja, asi que al menos aqui en el DF yo si me apunto para juntarnos varios y hacer fila desde temprano. De hecho pues despues de 3 largos años de esperar a que regresaran como que nomas verlos una vez es muy poco para mi jeje, asi que a menos que abran otra fecha en el foro sol, que igual yo creo que si lo han de estar considerando porque veo que entre la fecha del DF y de Guadalajara hay 3 dias de diferencia, mientras que en las demas solo hay 2, yo creo que tambien me lanzo al de Guadalajara, y pues a ese si iria solita y sin conocer a nadie asi que si seria muy buena la compañia de ustedes y yo creo que hasta que me asesoraran, porque pues no se que se ponga por alla a la salida de los conciertos si no vas en auto y eso... y pues al de Monterrey ese si me quedare con las ganas porque si ya esta como que muy lejos :(

Uy hace mucho tiempo que no venia por aqui... Pos la neta a mi si me cagan los posers, han hecho que muchos conciertos no los disfrute al 100% (ejemplo el de Coldplay del 2007 en el auditorio), porque por mucho que te digan que el ambiente no importa que tu en tu onda etc etc el ambiente importa y mucho, nada se compara a esa sensación de estar aplastado casi sin respirar brincando y cantando al unisono con mucha gente igual de fan que tu. Por eso ruego suplico e imploro que no se les ocurra la genial idea de poner sillas numeradas hasta el frente, porque entonces se nos va a llenar de posers, hijitos de papi y estrellitas de televisa que a lo mucho habran oido Clocks y Viva la Vida. Pero tengo fe de que sera GA y estaremos todos los fans obsesivos y locos aplastandonos hasta enfrente mientras los posers estaran fantocheando alla lejos en sus asientos carisimos en gradas.

The Simpsons and Coldplay together... the 2 things in the world which has obsessed me the most through many years of my life... awesome :D
