I will rank only the songs that I have listened completely several times and that I have already processed :P 1. Oceans. I love this song, it sounds so like Parachutes Coldplay :) 2. Magic. It's simple but very good, with a mix of old and new Coldplay , although I have listened to it a lot of times last month I don't get tired of it 3. Midnight. I didn't like it at the beginning, but it grew on me, it has a new and different style 4. A Sky Full of Stars. Duh, It's ok but it sounds like any generic electro-dance-pop song like any you can hear when you turn on the radio... maybe it needs to grow on me

the song is OK, but I think it should be in an Avicii album as a collaboration with Chris Martin instead of in a Coldplay album... I had the same feeling with Princess of China in Mylo Xyloto, that song should have been in a Rihanna album not in Coldplay's

I give up my lunch hour will be soon but there is a lot of people already there and I'm not gonna make it :(, although the weird thing is why it hasn't been found yet??? Did they hide the book with the lyrics in another place or what???

NOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm in Mexico City and after reading the tweet I knew the place they are refering is Biblioteca Vasconelos and the book is "Un cuento de navidad" (A Christmas Carol) by Charles Dickens... But I'm trapped in my stupid office!!!!! Why they didn't choose my City on the weekend or thursday that is festive day??? WhY???? Whyyyyy?? :(

I haven't been in this forum for a while, but today I felt the desire to return because I have to say that I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!! I liked Midnight and Magic although they don't sound like classic Coldplay, but I think they are a great change of direction after Mylo Xyloto (from which I'm not a big fan) but this song is so Parachutes that made me feel like I was listening to a lost track from that album... As kaisin said I know bands should evolve, but it's wonderful to hear a song that sounds like the old times when I became a fan a I used to listen Parachutes and AROBTTH over and over again

I also judged the song by its title, it sounded like a Backstreet Boys song or something like that lol. But the truth is it is a great surprise, one of the best of the album :P

I love the song, probably my favorite of the album but that sound is kind of scary, it's like evil chipmunks!!!

Oh and I forgot to add… Why the hell isn’t Moving to Mars in the album??? It’s such a great song and it deserved to be in the album. I got a similar feeling with I Ran Away and AROBTTH, and most of the B-sides of X&Y.

Ok, I've listened the album 4 times, and I don't know if it is because today is Monday and I was tired, sleepy and kind of angry ad fed up all day, but I didn't like the album as I see almost everyone does. In fact at this moment for me it's the worst Coldplay album... probably my opinion will change if I listen to it when I’m in a better mood, maybe in a peacefully Sunday morning and with the original CD or a good rip and with no interruptions. My favorites were Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven (since I heard the live versions I knew that probably these will be the best of the album) and also Don’t Let It Break Your Heart which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. And definitely the worst are Paradise and Princess of China, sorry but they sound like a cheap boy band here.

Although it's definitely worth trying, I heard someone saying (yeah I konw it was probably just exaggerated gossip) that in the last weekend at certain moment there was a 24 hr traffic between Rio and Sao Paulo... and if Coldplay performance ends at 2:15 am and my fly from Sao Paulo to Mexico leaves at 8:30 am (and it's recommended being at the airport 3 hours before)... definitely it's not a good idea :(. The hotel thing is tempting but I have already met them twice in my country (they always stay in the same hotel there too) so I think I'll wait for the third one when they come back to Mexico

Well, I'm in Sao Paulo at this moment and my plane will fly back to Mexico on Sunday 2nd at 8:30 am... so technically I still can make it to Rio, came back by bus to Sao Paulo running and begging there is not traffic, because at this point surely it will be impossible to get a fly at a decent price...and besides and most important I have no ticket for the concert, so I think the only option I have is to watch it in the TV of my hotel room :( At least it's better than watch it online from my home jeje

LOL... In fact Coldplay and Radiohead are my two favorite bands and if you compare for example Parachutes with The Bends you realize that they weren't so different... but now they have taken opposite paths and they don't have anything in common. Radiohead have become now so Experimental/"Extremely Alternative" and Coldplay is so Popish/Commercial, and the truth is that I don't like any of the paths they took... I would prefer that they still do what they used to do, I mean it's ok an evolution and it would be very boring if they still sound the same but at least they should have keep their style.

At first listen I though this song was crap... After several listenings I liked it a little bit but it's still far from old Coldplay... For me, the best studio song from this era so far is Moving to Mars... and it's not even in the album :rolleyes:

Hi, again. If I go to Rio surely I will go with workmates but I suppose that If I also get to go to the Coldplay concert I will go by myself (unless any of them turn out to be a Coldplay fan that is willing to buy a resell ticket :P ). So I will be happy to join you for going to the concert or to tourist the city :) My problem as I said in my first message is that I'm not sure the days I will be there, so at this moment it wouldn't be a good idea to try to buy a ticket or make a hostel/hotel reservation, I suppose that in some weeks I’ll be able to make a decision although maybe in that moment it will be already too late :(

Hello Dan Thank you so much for the info :) Well, It seems that it’s difficult but possible (and expensive) to get tickets… I’ll be checking internet sites to see if I can get something, the resellers outside the venue could be a last resort although in my situation it might be a little risky and I could easily get scammed for being a foreigner who doesn’t speak Portuguese :P. And thanks also for the flights info, because even if I can’t get tickets for the concert, I’m definitely going to Rio de Janeiro, I really want to visit that city :)

Hello Brazilian Coldplayers, I have a few questions for you... It's highly possible that for work reasons I'll travel to Brazil in September-October, and of course I would love to see my favorite band once more... the thing is that I don't have a ticket and I know they are completely sold out, and even If they wouldn't I'm not sure if I could go and I won’t be until a few days before the concert, because I don't know exactly the days I'm going to be there and besides I'll be in Sao Paulo and I don't know If I'm gonna be able to go to Rio that weekend. So the question is, how difficult is to get tickets near the date of a concert?? For example here in Mexico there is always a lot of resellers outside the venue the day of the concert, although sometimes they sell the tickets at ridiculous prices, another thing that happens here is that ticketmaster (practically all concerts tickets are sold there) release some tickets even the same day of the concert... So anything like this happens in Rock In Rio??? Or It'll be almost impossible for me to get tickets??? Obrigado :)
