top 10: yellow clocks dont panic politik speed of sound karma police (radiohead) trouble your eyes open (keane) I ran away In my place
  2. rest assured this is fake.
  3. I'm not gonna download any leaks. I, as well as other coldplayers I'm sure, have been anticipating this album ever since rumors of its existence surfaced seemingly so long ago, and I'm going to enjoy it properly. I will buy it in CD form on the north american release date, take it home, pop it in, make sure I won't be disturbed, and listen to the whole thing from start to finish. Even if the album leaks tomorrow, I will not download it, in fact I will not come to the site anymore until the release date if that happens. I like your plan of not coming to the site for those 6 days!
  4. Haha no. The song is not available, what they are saying is that there are now two songs available for download from iTunes from their album "Viva La Vida or Death and all his friends" (I'm sure the ITS part is a typo): Violet hill and Viva La vida.
  5. I HATE pop music with PASSION but I still love VLV. I don't think it's pop at all, I can't remember the last time Flo Rida, rihanna, Avril, Madonna etc... used a whole damn orchestra in their songs. VLV is brilliant both musically and lyrically IMO. btw my top bands after Coldplay are Radiohead, Muse, Oasis, Keane, Arcade Fire, REM and others.
  6. Your screen name is racist.
  7. Can you give us an idea of the length of each of the songs relative to Violet hill and Viva La Vida? which is the longest song? which is the shortest etc... And also if the double songs are two full songs or just one song divided in 2 (i.e. 2 3-4min songs or one 4min song divided in 2)
  8. Viva La Vida and Violet Hill are singles, they're not leaked.
  9. Also after the itunes commercial on American Idol last night Viva La Vida (pre-order) has climbed back from #6th spot to #2 spot, and the song Viva La Vida has come back into the list and stands at #2 as well on the US iTunes store.

  11. Tomorrow is the big day. I can FEEL it.
  12. "Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head, and since I fell for _, I am living there as well. Time is so short I am sure there will be something mooooreoor, you thought you might beagh..." 42
  13. Viva La Vida (song) has been out for a while. I think originally it was scheduled to be released on the 21st, except iTunes has been selling it with the pre-order of the album. I think the statement about a single being released today was made before itunes started selling it.
  14. There will be no more news today. “significant major initiative” planned around another single taken from the album on May 21." That single is Viva La Vida, and apparently the thing that is planned around it is the iTunes ad: Don't know about the "global initiative" but nowhere do they say THAT's going to happen on may 21 (today).
  15. This has already been posted: http://coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44975 a while ago...
  16. Coldplay have said numerous times that their new album is slightly anti-authority, so how do you make authority look foolish? make them dance! Biggest authority currently in the world lies in american politics.
  17. There are many threads on this. Now first you have to remember that this video was not designed to make fun of anyone, it just shows a bunch of politicians dancing. Also I don't remember the last time the leader of Iran or North Korea were conducting a war. Especially in Iran's case, the media may tell you they're terrorists, but the media is looking to sell. If you want terrorists, well, let's just say you don't have to look far from home.

The question is can they get all that into a relatively short song? Paranoid Android is over 6min long!
  19. Just because they think it's a bad album cover doesn't mean they hate the band. I don't like the new Album cover but I love Coldplay and the new album so far.
  20. I think that single was meant to be Viva La Vida. If they do release another single, there is a very high chance it'll be "Lost!". Highly doubt it though, 2 singles in one month are more than enough, there isn't even a video for Viva La Vida yet.
  21. Which song do YOU think sounds a lot like radiohead?
  22. Have you not seen over the last 5 years what they've done halfway around the world? Nothing Putin or Kim Jong Il have done comes close. they're all the same, just packaged differently.
  23. Yeah I think the monkey noises were a bit too much, but overall the video was done in a way that it's not obvious who is being made fun of (if you ignore the monkey noises) or stomped on. Chavez and Castro didn't illegally invade a soverign nation based on lies, kill countless young american soldiers and Iraqi civillians and result in large scale chaos that has ultimately made the world a more hostile place to live. Those who have done little "terrorizing" are labeled as terrorists while those who do the most terrorizing on the largest scale are ignored. Another example of our corrupt world.
  24. Agreed. But not only is this posted on their official youtube channel, but it is also listed on their website under "news". Perhaps the one to be aired on TV is more "Viva la Vida" and this one is more "Death and all his friends". It sure seems that way.

Radiohead is an awesome band, coldplay are more a softer less experimental version of Radiohead and I like them more for it. Except for the scientist though I can't think of another coldplay song that sounds similar to radiohead. So far with Coldplay's new album there is nothing that sounds like radiohead.
