The album is good, don't start listening to it expecting anything, put all your expectations behind when you listen to it or risk being disappointed. For example, 42 is NOT the awesomeness it was hyped to be, it's an average song on the album.

All these critics keep bashing Chris' voice but they fail to realize part of coldplay's amazingness is that voice, it's like nothing else, yet so soothing and comforting and easy to reminisce to. Kinda like another musical instrument.

Sorry guys you can only watch it on TV if you live in Canada, but they will upload the whole thing online sometime tomorrow.

Well after an exciting day of performances and the album leaking, and after listening to the album some 6 times, I have decided to delete the whole thing and wait until the release date and buy the CD. It might sound stupid, but I think of today as a very large listening party for all of us to preview the new album, after which we should wait until the actual album comes out. So if you have the will power, I encourage you all to drag the whole thing into the recycling bin/trash right now and empty trash/recycling bin :) It just might revive the anticipation for the new album.

1. ARBTTH 2. VLV 3. Parachutes 4. X&Y For me ARBTTH was a lot more memorable. I find the new album kinda lacks melodically.

Can't wait to hit the stores and pick this one up.

There is only one version of Viva La Vida.

I think it's a good album, certainly a lot more experimental than their other stuff. All the songs are different though, something for everyone, but as a result I can't see why it would make a difference whether or not you listen to it all the way through or in pieces. Also I don't like the combined songs in that you can't listen to them individually, or skip them.

I'm worried that instead of being used as B-sides those tracks will all end up on an album a year and a half from now.
