RIP Jennifer/Nettie
RIP NETTIE. I checked her website (mycoldplay.com) frequently since she was such an avid coldplay fan and always had good news updates/pics/posts from when she would go see the band wherever that might be. I was wondering what happened to her website as one day it was just gone. I thought she just stopped paying for the site..I had no idea it was for such a tragic reason. That just fills my heart with sadness to hear that she died doing something that obviously made her happy. She will be missed..

Viva La Vida Covered by Lady GaGa
Honestly you are all haters. Its a different style version of Viva that she put her own style and creativity too. I liked it. Of course I have no idea who Lady Gaga is, but at least she is playing a piano and adding her own twist to it, rather then just karaoki'ing (spelling?) it.

That made me throw up in my mouth..It was all black and white spots. I was like, are they trying to make her look like a cow...cuz it works..A really disgusting ugly cow....

Fucking bullshit violet hill didn't win. Only reason Kings of Leon Sex on Fire won is becuase they didn't give VH airplay. I never heard that song on the radio.

Allsion Krauss and Robert Plant....Ugh, Sounds like a really bad german dish..Wtf...Who are these people? Really? I had to see WTF.You can listen to thier album on thier website so I had a listen. Its not bad but 90 percent of the album sounds the same. I have to admit I hate the fact country beat over rock, especially coldplay. But oh well, At least Viva La Vida and Violet Hill won a grammy. The rest of the album deserved a win too but they have more grammys then Krauss and Robert got.

So apparently they are going to play a Viva La Vida duet with Jay-Z...Hmmm. Doesn't exactly make me excited and I think it could only make people not take them seriously. The last two grammy performance of Coldplay was amazing if you remember. Talk in 2006 and Politik in 2003 with an Orchestra. They were nomiated for X&Y for Album of the year and "Speed of Sound" for best rock song in 2006. In 2003 they were nomiated for In My Place and Rush of Blood to the Head. Yet they each year they choose to perform a song they were not nomiated for. This year they are nomiated for Viva La Vida (Album and song) and Violet Hill (Song). They only songs they have performed are Viva La Vida and Lovers in Japan (not the best performace of that song) on American TV at award shows. I really feel Violet Hill is underated and underplayed. It gave me goosebumps when I heard it live and every time I listened to it afterwards. They should really bust that song out every once in a while. Viva La Vida is good but it really is the only song that gets airplay besides Lost. They got nomiated for VH and I think they should really stick it to Joe Santarini by playing a song that nobody questioned its origins that rocks just as hard. I really hope they win for Violet Hill (Viva La Vida too) becuase that is the first song I heard from VLV when they gave it away and I still can't get enough of it. It a short song but its unlike anything I've heard before. GO VIOLET HILL! (Viva La Vida too) :)

Now That We Have It....REACTIONS
7/10 - Very Solid EP LiTII - I was disappointed by the GoW widget preview but that song is AWSOME! It is such a beautiful instrumental piece I thought there was no way they could improve on it, I was wrong! Postcards From Far Away - I didn't relize it but Chris played this 7-25-08 in Philadelphia at the end of Politk. I though he was just improving. Its Ok.I don't really think this qualifies as a ENTIRE track cuz its only like 20 seconds. Glass of Water - Very good song. Better on the EP then live though. The song does have a great outro. Rainy Day - I LOVE this song. Prolly my favorite on the EP. The strings are so beautiful and the other uptempo parts in this song are very good as well. Proskpekt's March/Poppyfields - Classic slow tempo Coldplay with guitar and soft lyrics. Sounds like something off parachutes. Not long enough for me though and I thought that this would be two songs in one since it has two titles like the songs off Viva. But still a solid song. Lost+ - Not crazy about it. I think the original is good enough without Jay Z. But the second they start colaborating with the Jonas brothers or Miley cirus is the seconds I leave the coldplay bandwagon forever! Lovers In Japan (Osaka Sun Remix) - Solid pop remix for LIJ. I wish they would have released a acoustic version of LiJ on this album however cuz I've heard the acoutic version and it is unbelieveable Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground - I really like the acoustic guitar on this song. Classic Coldplay. Very Very Very good. My 2nd or 3rd favorite off the album.

01-Nov-08: Philadelphia - Wachovia Center - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Ok I've got a spare ticket in a club seat row 1 at the back of the arena. I just moved to a new city (Balitmore) and I haven't had any time to find anyone to go with me. I'm close to selling the ticket but If any single ladies (18-35, I'm 26) on the board need a date I'll be happy to let you come with me(I really want to go to this concert but I don't want to go up to philly by myself :( ). I'm a very genuine person so if your interested please send me a PM with a picture (i'll send one in turn). Thanks! :D

What song from previous Coldplay albums would you add the the concert set list?
Warning Sign, AROBTTH, Shiver, I could go on and on, but those are my main 3

HELP! WHAT SONG IS IT?!?!?
UGH!!! Thank you soooooooooooooo much..I KNEW it was off X and Y..I was like "it makes no sense for him to say X and Y and that be on some other album"...Awsome..yet again another great song of Coldplay that they never play live...Or at least the live shows/albums I have heard..:(

HELP! WHAT SONG IS IT?!?!?
Ok, short of asking the Oracle I don't know who else could help me. I was listening to Coldplay on my way home from work the other day (on my ipod) and usually I'm pretty picky what songs I listen to but I was busy and just let it shuffle and it camel across this song I never heard or really listened to. Here are the only lyrics my horrible memory can remember so please excuse the broken lyrics I put down before you "X.....and Y......the rivers trees and starry sky(may not be exact)...365 degrees....something something...everything under the sun" Now obviosly first guess would be X and Y, or at least a song off X and Y, but its not..I have gone through every single coldplay song I have (I don't have CD's btw, just lots of mp3's) and I stil can't fiqure out what song this is..Its been driving me crazy.

01-Nov-08: Philadelphia - Wachovia Center - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Ok so I'm being completely spoiled but it seems like every single ticket that comes up is complete garbage for me(back of the arena, back of the floor in section 9). If anyone has decent seats to sell that is not in the very back of the arena I get first dibbs!!!!:D Last time I was litterally at the very tip of the stage leg and johnny was 2 ft away from me during in my place. Crazy...

Viva La Vida Tour - Disapointing Set Lists
I totally agree they need to play longer shows. I'm not to versed in the shows of other huge bands and how long they last but hell, even a 7 dollar movie lasts 2 hours.. While I like the whole "Viva" theme at the concert and they play 9/10 songs off the new album, they are completely ignoring ALL (except Yellow) of Parachutes..Cmon, you can't throw one of the other songs off that album every once in a while??? Remember when you won a grammy for that album? Yea, that means you should probably play something else off that album and not act like Yellow is the only song that was released on Parachutes. They play about half of AROBTTH but they leave really really good songs off the setlist from that album (Warning Sign, AROBTTH which they NEVER NEVER NEVER PLAY at the actual show). I would think that becuase you occasionally mix the setlist up you would throw in different stuff, but it seems like they have only mixed things up in the way "Ok I had fish last night, so lets have chicken tonight and then fish tommorow and then chicken the next night" which isn't really mixing it up as far as just alterating the same songs, which they don't even do anymore apparently becuase they play the same exact setlist for consecutive shows now for some reason. I think johnny has even said (In his latest interview on coldplay.com) that the last thing they wanted to happen is people say "I wish they played more of thier old stuff"...well....thats pretty much whats happening. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the new album but I LOVE your old stuff as much as I do the new stuff, its what got me listening to coldplay in the first place. That and every live show I listened to was AMAZING which is what makes a good band good. But isn't it a bad thing if I listen to a show on the viva tour and it sounds EXACTLY like another show off the viva tour? PLEASE COLDPLAY PLAY MORE OF YOUR OLD STUFF!!!! WARNING SIGN, AROBTTH, TALK, WHAT IF, A WHISPER, EVERYTHING'S NOT LOST, SHIVER, TILL KINGDOM COME, WHITE SHADOWS, SWALLOWED IN THE SEA, THE HARDEST PART, HOW YOU SEE THE WORLD Please just insert one of these songs into each night's setlist and I promise we would all be happier about a hour and half show but if you wanted to play longer then that would be ok too :) PS: Keep playing Square One cuz that song is better live then the recorded version.
