Radiohead
Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played a surprise set at Glastonbury this evening (June 25). The pair performed on the festival's Park Stage after being introduced by Michael Eavis. "Welcome to the biggest surprise of the weekend," the festival organiser told the crowd. "There's two superstars I'll not name them but they're right here." Seizing the moment, Yorke told the swelling crowd "Hi, my name is Thomas Yorke," as he kicked things off, playing 'The Eraser' solo on the piano. "Been in the studio all week with my first band," he then told the crowd before building a loop around a funky bass riff for 'Harrowdown Hill'. He followed that with 'Black Swan' though had to restart the song once jokingly cursing "fucking amateurs!" at his slip. Greenwood then joined his bandmate onstage, playing keys on 'Cymbal Rush'. The pair then both played guitars on 'In Rainbows' track 'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi'. 'Pyramid Song' followed, with Greenwood taking a violin bow to his guitar while Yorke returned to the piano. 'Idioteque' saw the duo drop beats - mixed with a sample of an HGV's reversing alarm - which got the now giant crowd dancing, before they played an acoustic version of 'Karma Police' triggering a mass singalong. With the crowd singing the song's "I lost myself" lyrics after the track had finished, Yorke then picked up his guitar and joined in with his audience. He then launched into the band 'Street Spirit (Fade Out)'. "Have a brilliant festival every one," Yorke told the crowd as he left the stage, "see you guys later." Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played: 'The Eraser' 'Harrowdown Hill' 'Black Swan' 'Cymbal Rush' 'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi' 'Pyramid Song' 'Idioteque' 'Karma Police' 'Street Spirit (Fade Out)' OMG

Arcade Fire
^ yeah just saw that, WTF Arcade Fire's forthcoming new album 'The Suburbs' could be set to be released with eight different covers. According to reports on MBVMusic.com, the Canadian group's third studio effort will be released with multiple cover designs. They go on to say that the ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance) have listed such information about the band's upcoming August 2 release, but neither the group's official website or record label have confirmed the allegations. Earlier this month (June 7), Arcade Fire previewed 'The Suburbs' live with a comeback gig in Granada Theatre, in Sherbrooke, Quebec. (NME)

Mark Ronson
Ok. Whilst I agree on not liking his covers album, I like his work on this new song. There's hope. But life doesn't end with facebook, come on.

You, sir...... are a useless t w a t. Lady Gaga has that title. Version is covers, I accept that. But you can't use the same argument "oh have I already heard that" with the new single. I am a convert with Bang Bang Bang. He's back to doing what he does well - PRODUCING new music.

Mark Ronson
Well this new song is so different. I didn't like his covers that much (they're jazzy not synthy). But here's a few: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THgWhUMjhSg]YouTube- Mark Ronson - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2WVOMnndXY]YouTube- Mark Ronson - Stop me[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tAKUIqGhI4]YouTube- Mark Ronson - Apply some pressure feat. His first album is all covers. This new one due out in a few months is all new stuff, but collaborations. For those who don't know, Ronson is primarily a music producer in the UK.

I just found the Promo version of Crossfire, not the radio rip. Intro is better.

Radiohead
I don't really see Radiohead taking too much of an 'electronica' direction. Whilst 15 step had drum samples, its just too 'easy' and 'similar' to the direction of most artists these days. I'd say we had a better chance of strings.
