  1. *LOL* I think then you can phrase it as "most people think U2 are good", but if they are not desirable to me then I won't call them good :) And what happens then to something that once was met with very little approval and then later on is met with large approval? Was it then bad and now good? What if a band is wildly popular in one culture but not in another? It then makes it good in one context and bad in another, right? Therefore ultimately good and bad are still relative terms imo :)
  2. Playing devil´s advocate here...but someone might say that just because something is successful and popular it doesn't make it good. McDonald is popular and rolling in money :) Then you can say "but the critic consensus is..." and then one can say "but thats just a bunch of opinions at the end of the day and changes with culture/time etc..."....really its like going in circles *LOL* I do really like the idea of an objective "good or bad" but so far I have not found them to be anything but relative subjective terms.
  3. Im not an atheist but I don't believe in hell except the one we make for ourselves :) "up and up" to a "sky full of stars" sounds like a good place to go :D You however will be relegated to a particular boring star system as a punishment for all the devilish riddles you put us through :sneaky::happy2:
  4. Anyone who has been to a concert at this stadium and can recommend what the best section/seats are?
  5. *chuckles* Indeed. You can hope though that "help will be around the corner for you" and an angel will "put his wings on you" so you can go "up&up":wings: :D
  6. Listening party and the day after Super Bowl....looking to be a fun next weekend for Coldplayers :D Cast your vote! The more the merrier :D
  7. I should attempt to go to bed at a Godly hour tonight....maybe its time to get in line with the European time zone hehe
  8. It was and there is a special place in hell for people with such devilish ideas hehe :whip: *LOL*
  9. Oh I think you´d have to do better than that Im afraid haha A lot of people will be wearing Coldplay t-shirts. Maybe if you came dressed in a monkey costume....that might make you stand out *LOL*
  10. I hear you, man. I love the new album hehe But if I didn't like it, I would not think its good. I mean liking something and thinking is good are quite related, don't you think? Unless you are judging an album by other criteria, I don't know...technical ones. If she ( @I ran away is a woman) doesn't like the new songs, how can you expect her to think the album is good? Not sure I get it. And comment on what @Spider-Man said (man I love Spider-Man btw...unrelated I know but I cant help my comic book geekiness LOL). I agree that the Oldplayers are fixated on the first albums, but I don't really see it as them being stuck in the past...they just like that kind of music and don't like the new or some of the new albums. Again I don't think they are "stuck" to the past just because they like the past. I mean if Coldplay released similar songs in the future to the first albums, Im sure they would like them straight away. Or at least thats my impression of Oldplayers. That said it is true that sometimes you don't like something and then you re-listen to it in another time or context and suddenly you like it, but imo that sort of just happens sometimes you cant even explain why. Music tastes are a mystery to the logical mind :)
  11. You can see the price range on the Ticketmaster website.
  12. Truly diabolical haha There is no clue, the clue is the answer. Kinda reminds me of the Matrix "there is no spoon" LOL
  13. I think people have not been shy about making guesses LOL I just think it would be nice to be able to make educated guesses, but in order for that to happen we need more info *lol* Or at least I do....Maybe others can make connections I don't see. It would just be sad to see someone guessing it out of sheer luck...kinda defeats the purpose of the game no? :)
  14. *chuckles at Chris doing Bruce voice* God I love Chris...he´s always so funny and cheerful!
  15. Honestly I think Coldplay have a lot freedom to do what they want. I think the organisers are putting an emphasis on this being extra cool and extra impressive because its the 50th, but other than that, it will be a surprise to all what Coldplay prepare :) The only true restrictions I think are logistics because of the short time!
  16. Orchestra....= violins hehe Now maybe I understand why Davide has been called to contribute for the Half Show. Maybe they are making special "orchestra" friendly arrangements of some of the songs? If so, I look forward to it! I love strings :)
  17. I agree. But Golden Circle tickets (or reserved front stage) are a bit different in that you are guaranteed the front area, so you don't need to squeeze in front row, you can just stay in the back and enjoy the show, knowing you won't end up at the very end of the stadium. But if there are only general standing tickets I will also opt for the seats.
  18. In my experience having flown to the States 3 times I never once found the one-way ticket to be significantly cheaper than the return. Not sure if this is the norm, but its what I found. And €500 return sounds pretty reasonable to me for Boston.
  19. Not sure if you are both guys? ^^:) But I wonder if you mean the same thing I do when you say it takes a lot to make you cry. I find that Im a very emotional person, like I feel feelings hehe But even if something say moves me a lot I feel it swell up inside me but...no tears LOL Its like even if Im super sad and actually do cry the few times it happens, only a couple of actual tears appear and barely make it out of the eye haha So to me there is a difference between being emotional and crying (I can have the former often but the latter so rarely), whereas for a lot of girls I think they are often the same thing. Just musing over this difference I think there is with us guys...

Not liking the cover..... Singer is great, piano too, but its just not this song. It reminds me of Sam Smith a bit, whom I like, but no...Coldplay is something else for me and this style doesn't fit the song imo. Though Coldplay have such melodic songs they sound pretty good no matter how you play them.
  21. If its GA I hope they have a front stage area separate tickets. Can we reasonably assume the options we will see in the East Coast shows will apply to the West coast as well? And I cant imagine a stadium show with seated floor, unless its I don't know Bocelli or Celine Dion LOL
  22. Yeah thats what I thought. Rose Bowl is a stadium, so I cant imagine seated floor there, but maybe they do it there? Not sure.
  23. Are you using the calendar view? Momondo has that and Im sure other websites. Then you can see if tickets are cheaper some other days in the week. It can vary quite a lot!
  24. With Coldplay tickets now announced for Los Angeles, I just need Lana to get her tour going and my life would be (almost) complete ! hehe I´ve never seen her live...that day will be absolutely memorable for me :)
