  1. Welcome from a fellow comic books fan :book2::sneaky:
  2. The single collection is cool!...its still on my wish list. Have you got Hurts Like Heaven the picture disc release? Its very pretty! Another good one (but maybe hard to find) is Violet Hill/A Spell a Rebel Yell. I never really bought promo CDs so I cant say
  3. I checked out one of their tracks. They sound interesting :)
  4. To some extent but not entirely. For example Adele has been absent from the radio in ages and yet she releases an album and boom she breaks all records....I find that despite the charts having the "usual suspects" (because record companies these days are all about making money and churning out music clones...), people still react to the music they like, even if its not on the radio or promoted. The sad part is that its harder to find new artists because they are not promoted as they used to be, thats true :/
  5. Im not gonna get into a discussion about that haha Suffice it to say I find its the same for boys as for girls (Justin body matters much more than his brains I assure you haha), partly I think its the nature of the medium, it has a strong visual component, partly its just the young people crowd really always having been like that (my mum used to scream at the Beatles, not for their scientist-like brains LOL). Girls will want to look pretty to attract boys, we like to look pretty to attract girls. Its just how it is LOL Honestly despite the media taking advantage of these natural tendencies to attract audience, I dont think we´ve ever lived in an era which promotes empowerment to be who you want to be, both to girls and boys, as much as our era, so thats a great thing. I mostly find it harmless. As people grow up we naturally put less emphasis on looks and superficial things and we become deeper and more nuanced. I think Justin, Beyonce and the likes have a strong focus on the young crowd....as most of my friends would not find it "acceptable" to listen to Justin or boybands or the likes haha Its mostly viewed , at least as far as I can see, as teens/youngster stuff.
  6. Its tomorrow for me too....right now here its 8 January 10:19 PM. But yeah its already Saturday in Europe.
  7. Half of the people love Coldplay, the other half likes them in secrecy hehe :sneaky::curtain:
  8. Love that smartphone voting idea! I hope its gonna be something like that :)
  9. Oh yes...I had conveniently forgotten about that LOL
  10. Thats awesome! and yes thats the most votes so far....(well all votes hehe). Do vote on the poll to confirm whenever you know if that time is suitable for u :)
  11. There are many people who would deem listening to Justin Bieber not acceptable haha So there are different views on whats good music, not only Coldplay haters hehe I dont know.. sometimes it seems to me that the its the media who polarises the most (as its their prerogative with most things, polarisation = news). Honestly all people I know are quite flexible when it comes to music and non-judgemental.
  12. ^^ LOL Some glitch Im sure...btw I do love the current look
  13. All 3 lovely areas :) And I got an extra kick out of visiting Boston and Cape Cod area as Im a big fan of american colonial history :D
  14. You know Im not sure "who" hates them exactly! haha US? UK? Cuz in Denmark no one really hates them as far as I know...they get reviewed and listened to on par with other similar artists.
  15. Thats probably because the media have not talked about them as much short of just using the title "Coldplay: the greatest band in the world" . People probably most remember the early reviews/"reputation".
  16. Ah nice:) I have fond memories of the East Coast, I was in NY, Boston, Cape Cod :)
  17. Strange that polls are not visible on the app...grrr :/ 9 PM PST
  18. I dont know...Beyoncé is very popular in the USA but is it the same around the world? I cant say she is super popular in Denmark, not more than Coldplay or other artists anyway.
  19. So far votes seem to go towards on the 9th at 9 pm...now consider this year is 2016=9 and I think we are ready to post on the Illuminati thread : there is a spontaneous conspiracy haha :drunkjoe::whistle:
  20. Welcome back! :) Where are you at?
  21. ^^ Thats how it should always be indeed :) No purpose in singing if you dont convey emotion imo.
  22. So I may be posting all alone on this thread but im not giving up just yet LOL I mean I cant join a Lana fan forum...those guys are craaaaaaaazy I tell ya LOL Anyway here is a little link for a wonderful live concert at the Itunes Festival. Bit old but totally worth checking out
  23. LOL I thought you were in Europe? :) But thats why I welcome more suggestions about the time. We will see. Depends how many people will take part, we will try and make it fit so as to accommodate the most
  24. Sounds like a true tribute cover style! I must admit I never thought about how to sing...I just sing and transmit the song as I feel it. Though I did notice a funny thing...I tend to adopt Chris british accent at times *LOL*
  25. Right here. It should be visible at the top of the thread. I can see there are some votes already
