I was in love when it was released, then I kinda got over it. Lately I find that I really enjoy listening to the whole album. I can't split MX, VLV and AROBTTH. MX is just so uplifting, I think ETIAW is very underrated, and I don't know how it wasn't a massive hit - they didn't promote it as well as they should have. I actually think Charlie Brown is overrated. The last three tracks of this album are what really do it for me though. My favourite succession of closing tracks on a CP album. AHT, DLIBYH & UWTB <3 My one complaint is that I really wish Mylo Xyloto was a full song, you can hear that melody in almost every song on the album if you try hard enough, I think it would make for an amazing full length track.

If they could somehow work in Lovers In Japan, Death and All His Friends, Talk and Square One/Speed Of Sound I would DIE! EDIT:Yes, Politik too!

It's soo good that it breaks my heart :P Honestly though the way it starts after AHT = one of the best things Coldplay have ever done.

I can still hear the piano riff from the ending in my head, and my last listen was last night in bed :D

POSITIVE: MMIX gives it so much life. It works so well in the context of the album.

PS. This is my first thread ever. I'm giving up my thread starting virginity to UATW, as a metaphoric apology for not liking it at the festivals :P

Out of all the songs we got at the festivals this was the only one I skipped. Hearing it on the album absolutely astonished me, it is so so so beautiful, and atmospheric. It's one of my faves for sure. Does anyone feel the same? I feel like most people loved the live version too. If anyone shares my opinion, what is it about the studio version that makes it (IMO) so much better? For me it's that intro, oh and the vocals sound great.
