i think a scary movie should have an eerie silence feel to it. have anyone seen The Ring? I'm not talking about the Hollywood version but the Original Japanese Version. The audio effects are not that grand but what really strikes me is how quiet and dark the atmosphere is, and then all of a sudden Sadako would just :o crawl out of the tv with those hideous eyes and bloody and rotting hands. It worked for me and i couldn't stare at a switched off tv for days :)
