  1. I think Chris looks fabulous,so adorable.I think his shoes are fine. He's totally not the type to wear a tux with the fancy black shoes. He wears dress clothes in "Chris" style. With Alicia and CHris singing VLV,someone said she didnt bring anything new to the song..I dont think she wanted to bring anything new to the song.It was just a benefit concert and they wanted to sing something everyone was familiar with
  2. 3. Thanks so much for the offer.Thats very friendly of you.I take it that you are going to the concert??
  4. Just the way the world has changed, their music had to change.Their music reflects what is going on in their lives and the world...10 years ago they were young kids and now they are married men with children. They cant still be singing about unrequieted love. And the world is a different and scary place since 9/11. Tthere are wars going on around the world,so they put that in their songs. And how could they stay just a simple rock band..Impossible.
  5. They never owned the bakery???Im confused because the Oracle said they dont have the Bakery for sale.. Just curious
  6. I just read a tweet from Jonny's fiance and she said they saw a show at Webster Hall last night, which is in NYC.I get excited because their new apt is just a couple of blocks from where I work and I pass by there every day.
  7. for those following Simon Pegg on twitter, can I get his name.I searched for a Simon Pegg and one came up with a lot of followers bit I didnt see that message about Belsize Park...
  8. Not that it matters but that article was written by a woman,Rachel Cooke.I cant stand her' I love one of the comments from the article... Bravo for your very "professional" article, Rachel.....whatever happened to impartiality?? All that's come out of this is you wanting to inform everyone that you don't like Coldplay and I, for one, don't give a toss about your musical leanings. That was the beauty of the South Bank Show, it had subjects from all aspects of the art world and if some of them didn't appeal to you, you just didn't watch it that week. Maybe if you were one of the thousand of people who saw them during the tour, you might have warmed to them more. Not everyone who went to see them would have been major fans but you couldn't deny the fact that the band put on a great show and that the sometimes tedious music was brought to life in a big way on the live stage. Of course, it was great to see Gwyneth with half a glass of wine gone too, of course! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing and I'm sad to see it go
  9. I was reading about Jay z tackling Chris. Is there a video of that???
  10. Tracey, I love your account of your trip.It sounds wonderful. And I love how you described Gwyneth and Chris. I dont feel what you wrote was too personal at all. I think so many people on this board are so full of it and have such a holier than thou attitude if they think they would walk by the Martin's house and just walk with their head down and not look.Im sorry but I just dont believe that. Many people on this board talk about how they stalk the band and sometimes nothing is said.Im glad you had a good time and I love reading your review..I totally could feel your excitement.
  11. Why did Chris have his shirt off??Would love to see some pics>
  12. That is unbelievable!!!!Please tell us how it happened...
  13. Thats a great pic.Looks like so much fun.So I know some of you came from US and doesnt Min live in Singapore.??She was able to come for the concert.Where was Angie??That's true dedication forr all of you.
  14. i just went to Amazon and they said it's out of stock.Cant believe it...
  15. Im over 25 if you still need answers to the questions. 1. Where were you and what were you doing when you first heard about the 9/11 attacks?I was at work about 2 miles from the WTC. #2.What were some of your first thoughts and questions? At first didnt realize how bad it was but when the news kept saying another plane crashed ,and then another plane went down,I was scared shitless.I only wondered how I would get home since I dont live in Manhattan and need to take a bridge to get home and they said all bridges were closed 3.How did you spend the next few hours and afternoon?I was at work at my husband's store and all the employees were standing outside. The Wtc was downtown and our store is midtown so thousands of people who had just left the WTC area were walking past us and asking to use our phones and bathroom. Most of the people were covered in white dust and were crying. Some of the people told us they had gotten out just in time.In the evening I felt totally helpless because we couldnt go home and had to stay in Manhattan. All night long we heard police cars and FBI cars and their sirens going down the street. What ways did your emotions change as the day progressed?I went from being very scared at what what had happened and then feeling so sad at watching people on the news looking for their loved ones.It was so heartbreaking to see all the people putting family members pictures on a wall near ground zero #5.Did you know anyone who was personally associated with 9/11? If so, in what way?Numerous people in my immediate neighborhood were killed,a neighbor ,a firefighter.People that my daughter went to school with were killed.two of my husbands customers were killed. And I know so many other people who lost someone. #6. There were a number of governmental responses to the attacks and other terrorist activities ( The Patriot Act , wars in Afghanistan and Iraq , the new Department of Homeland Security , increased security at the boarders and ports of entry , and enhanced intelligence , community , etc.)Please comment on your opinion of the government's responses and what more if anything should be doing today to prevent further attacks. If i had the answer to this I would be a genius __________________
  16. This the VLV tour so I guess that is why most of the songs come from that album...:)
  17. ok everytime I go to coldplay.com all the pics come up for a couple of seconds and disappear and the the last one is left.Is that happening to anyone else
  18. Where can i see the photoblog without having to go thru all these pages???
  19. Yeah, and hte strings in VLV are played on a synth i believe! The strings on VLV are not played on a synth, they are played by an Italian violinist David Rossi. He and Coldplay have known each other a long time. There's an article about him on this site
  20. When was he angry at Jonny?I havent seen that.Is there a video??And Chris hasnt been wearing his ring for at least a year.
  21. roche714 replied to amsterdam's topic in Coldplay
