To me it could sound like they don't trust their neighbours... :shrug: As said, the paps or fans haven't had access to see their back garden, but their neighbours have. As long as the fence doesn't block any view for the neighbours (I'm not talking about view to C and G's garden :P) or take up their property I don't see the big problem. If the metal fence reflects the sun to the neighbours gardens and makes it hotter for them or something else annoying though, I see a problem. Edit: What pommeline suggest could be a reason too. :P

Evening. It's such a cosy time of the day and I can enjoy it and always find something to do any time of the year. It's a bit of an impractical time of the day because of the dark and the shops are closed though.

That wasn't really a tip, but no problem. :) If I should give you a tip though; offer her to borrow your Coldplay CDs so she can get in on her iPod or MP3 player, if she has one. That way she's free to check it out any time. Make it an open offer though, not putting pressure on her... People tend to feel like doing the opposite when they feel that they get pushed to something, I think. But I don't know your mother of course. :P It might be early now, but she might want to go to a concert on next tour. :) The distance sucks... :\ It's definitely worth the long way though.
