  1. I don't like Lost
  2. I would sooner spend thousands on an anonomous pre CBS Stratocaster rather than a current guitar that someone famous has picked up, but that's just personal preferance. Difference being apart from the amazing sound, is Johny Buckland won't be remembered in 20 years time becuause he's not a great guitarist, a vintage Fender/Gibson speaks for itself.
  3. I want to be a Vampire, but no the gay sparkly moral Twilight kind:P
  4. :laugh3: is it a real guilty pleasure to admit I'm a secret Girls Aloud fan?:embarrassed:
  5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience- Amazing Guitarist a visionary, listen to him or not he deserves respect. The Red hot Chili Peppers- John Frusciante-Best Guitarist of our generation in MY opinion The Smashing Pumpkins-God he writes beautiful songs
  6. i agree, while I do think that the people responsible are prized ****s who deserve to die a slow painful death on a personal level, it's not really for the Western world to decide how other Countries decide their laws etc.
  7. Why would anyone waste £10k on one of Johnny Bucklands guitars anyway?.
  8. I think only choosing 10 songs is a bit difficult but I will attempt to: Joy Division-Shadowplay Depeche Mode-I Feel You The Smashing Pumpkins-Thru The Eyes Of Ruby John Frusciante-Emptiness New Order-True Faith Placebo-Meds The Red Hot Chili Peppers-Blood Sugar Sex Magik Metallica-Master Of Puppets Blondie-Maria Led Zepplin-When The Levee Breaks
  9. I don't think it will be bad and I wish them luck but I won't be rushing out to see them live anymore although I am interested to see what the new album is like. My main hope is that John releases some new material soon and does a few shows.
  10. If you're going to do it at least do it properly:cool: Getting drunk on cider
  11. From searching it looks like a sizeable amount of Germanys motorway network is unlimited, still the Germans along with the French can actually drive, unlike most drivers in the UK who are rubbish.
  12. Josh is a talented musician and I have no doubt he can fill in on live shows brilliantly but I am sort of questioning what sort of music they will be able to write without John who in my opinion was a driving force in their sound.
  13. In Germany they have an advised limit of 130 KM/H in most of the places I went however you could drive as fast as you wanted on most stretches of motorway, it's a good rule they should have it elsewhere too. I don't pay much attention to arbitary speed limits on motorways.
  14. I have no problem with people who do double the speed limit on open motorways, because going fast on a clear road designed for that purpose isn't dangerous or idiotic, incidentally that road isn't pedestrianzed at all, if someone wants to walk on the A3 then they are a moron and I would have no sympathy if they got run over.
  15. This is great advice, buy a guitar that is right for you, personally I think Taylor make the best acoustics but that's just my preference.
  16. You should go:), I'm not saying no one should go now John isn't with them just personally I don't feel any desire to now he's gone,I've been very lucky because I've seen them so many times over the last 10 years.I will buy their next album, I'm curious to see how it will sound, I personally didn't think One Hot Minute was a total disaster at all, although many people say this because it's the cool thing to say etc, so I'm interested to see what Josh brings to the band, it looks like John could have lent him one of his guitars in that pic, I'm going to go with sunburst Tele.
  17. Photoshopped much?.
  18. I'm with Reiley on this one, for the benifit of the Daily Wail here is a pic of the road, maybe not the exact spot but you will get an idea of the layout etc: I think he was heading in the other direction than the pic though. I think labeling him as a danger etc for doing a speed on a clear stretch of 3 lane carrigeway is stupid. In fact I don't see anything wrong with going greater speeds on a motorway providing the driver is half competant and the vechicle is in sound condition.
  19. It was on a 3 lane A road that used to be 70 MPH apparantly but this was before I could drive, as you don't actually know the stretch of road you haven't really got much to go on other than what the Daily Wail says, people go up there faster than 104 too but surprisingly that isn't news worthy because their not a footballer. I'm not saying he can do what he likes I'm saying that he wasn't being dangerous and shouldn't have been banned. I think he should have been given a fine and allowed to continue to drive, I don't even particularly like the guy or football but this is just a retarded frenzy about nothing, it's an absolute non story.
  20. I wonder how Josh will do with them, he's a very talented multi instrumentalist and he's also a very close friend of Johns.I personally feel he won't be able to match Johns creativity in the band he has been the driving force behind their sound for years, but then Josh might just surprise us all and I wish them luck for their new album but I won't be going to see them live again, luckily I've seen them live numerous times since the Californication tour, including one of my favourites-Hyde Park  I'm very much looking forward to more John solo work now,for the last few years I've much prefered it to RHCP.
  21. No it isn't driving too fast for the conditions is dangerous, doing 104 MPH on a clear stretch of a 3 lane motorway in my view isn't dangerous at all, doing 104 MPH when it's foggy, raining and past a school would be dangerous. I bet that Lamborghini could go from 104-0 MPH more quickly than an average hatchback could brake from 50-0, that's what they do supercars and superbikes are designed to go very fast but their also designed to stop very very fast too.
  22. I don't think he should have been banned, and as it was obviously clear as he could get up to 104 MPH I don't really consider to have done much wrong, he wasn't endangering anyone, and a Lamborghini Gallardo is capable of stopping much faster than those stupid highway code stopping distances from about 1726.
  23. Depeche Mode are brilliant:D
  24. That's true, do you remember all the fuss about stabbings and shootings in London in the media over the past couple of years?, yet everyone I know has yet to witness one, yes these things do happen but were a country of 60 million people of course there's going to be crime and unfortunatly some of it will be violent.
