1. Your review was from your heart. I think that many of us can relate to what you experienced.
2. Chavi ~ thanks for sharing your videos & pictures! :)
3. Sweet ~ how lucky for those to have been there to see it live!
4. Yes, Cedar is definintely in the Gold Coast neighborhhood. There are lots of hotels in that part of downtown. I'd like to think that the reports of Guy swimming in Lake Michigan were true and that he took his dip at Oak Street Beach. :)
5. Perhaps, one day you'll get a chance to come visit Chicago. We're one of the candidate cities for the 2016 Olympics.
6. Chicago's Gold Coast on a rainy January day. I took this picture with my cell phone while I headed back to work on a CTA bus along Lake Shore Drive. You can see the John Hancock building and The Drake Hotel on the right hand side.
7. I bet he doesn't leave his dirty socks on the floor at home either.
8. I still get all happy when I see the pictures of you and Melanie with Jonny from the Chicago show. I can't imagine how you still feel
9. I got so excited watching the piece on Michael Phelps last night when I heard the background music.
10. Here are Guy's results: Flora London Marathon 2008 Results No. 36989 BERRYMAN, GUY (GBR) Age: M30 Time: 3:59:36
11. Alicia Keys is a classically trained pianist; so, I believe she is more than capable of performing live without a backing track and/or loop.
12. 3:15 p.m. CDST and just got back from a 45 minute run listening to all Coldplay music.
13. I encountered the same exact problem at the 7/23 show in Chicago. I had front row seats for Section 334, but I was absolutely shocked that the majority of the people surrounding me and my daughter were sitting down during MOST of the concert. A lot of the people up in that section were unfamiliar with the new songs from VLV ... they barely stood up for Yellow:embarassed: I wished I had powers to transport myself down to join the people who were dancing and having the time of their life on the main floor at that point of the show. When I went to sit down after Yellow, my seat was soaked in beer, as was my purse :veryangry2: I'm paying too much money for a concert ticket to sit on my behind - I can do that at home if I want - but, I'm going to a concert to have an incredible experience. I brought my mom to a Paul McCartney concert a few years ago (she had last seen him when the Beatles played Comiskey Park in 1965 ... she passed out as they were leaving that show). Anyway, Paul starts playing "Band on the Run" or some old Wings' tune and I jumped up cause I'm super hyped and totally excited to have my mom there with me and this girl behind me starting complaining and I just told her "too bad - deal with". Other people around me chimed in and told her to relax.
14. I was stuck up on the third level of the United Center for the 7/23/08 Chicago show and left out of the butterfly shower. Thank you to everyone who is willing to share. I would just like a few pieces for my concert display box.
15. Of all the concert videos I've seen in the last few weeks, I'd have to say that these are some of the best -- they're clear, the color is vivid, great sound.
16. I could see it on a t-shirt now ;) I wish I had known about Melanie and Lori before the 7/23 Chicago show, because it would've been fun to hang out with them. It's all about community ... Coldplay community.
17. Melanie is totally right. You'll kick yourself later on ... see if they're playing any where near you when they head back to the states in the fall.
18. It looks like everyone was having a great time. I must say that Gwyneth's mom, Blythe Danner, is one cool woman.
19. You will feel like this for a long time. It's just Coldplay concert withdraw symptoms. I've been suffering since the 7/23/08 Chicago show.
20. I can't picture Spielberg getting into it ... interesting group.
21. Waiting with much anticipation for the first reviews ... sad to say that it's the last U.S. show for awhile :(
