I'd really like people like the commenters above to leave their thoughts to themselves. Fans of Michael Jackson have heard enough shit during the course of his life. He was a naive person, and an easy target for anyone who could want money or anything else out of him. Anyone he trusted let him down and crapped all over his legacy. Please, there is no one who hasn't heard the allegations and stories of his 'weird' life while he was alive. Can we please allow people to grieve the loss of a legendary musician without bringing up all the mud that he's been dragged through while he was alive? I am truly saddened by this loss and if you're not that's fine, but please have a bit of respect for those that are.
  2. I used to be an extraordinarily big fan of his, it did become mentally quite hard to be a fan of his as I got a lot of shit for it, so did try to back off on my fandom after a while. I always respected the man though and loved his music. He started the charitable musician thing. He was a pioneer in music in so many ways. He was truly remarkable. I used to have nightmares about him dying, then I'd wake up reassure myself that he wasn't nearly old enough to have health issues. I never thought that in just a few years time I'd be sitting at home watching CNN report on his passing. Heartbreaking. I allowed myself to cry after seeing footage of him perform in the jackson 5. Hopefully no one feels the need to turn this into an MJ-hate thread. The man and the fans have gotten enough disrespect over the years. Think about how you might feel if Chris Martin passed suddenly, and allow us to grieve a little.
  3. wooo!! vegan food newsletter! I've been hoping she'd do one like this. And agave is super wonderful. It's sweeter than sugar, and is a honey-alternative basically. I like to use it on pancakes since it's cheaper than maple syrup. It's not any of that 0 calorie chemical business, but an all natural syrup taken from the agave plant, and since it's low on the glycemic index your body doesn't store it immediately as fat and spike your blood sugar up.
  4. really was an awesome show... really loved the viva remix interlude the second night, really did feel like rave as Miller mentioned. First night it seemed not everyone got the hint with the video of people waving their cell phones, but second night they were right into it and the viva "oooooh"s were really nice and loud.
  5. KEEP IT DOWN! :laugh3:
  6. aw thank you for posting this. I was looking for a vid. of yellow from that night that didn't cut off before that part. Love the way chris says "Guy.... you handsome bass player" :wink3: :laugh3:

    *sob*...come back soon boys.
  8. I think Coldplay dont mind fan pics one bit, but I really think it might depend on the venue. Your best bet might be asking a friend who's seen a show at the venue if they remember people whipping out their cameras. Maybe security does get a bit of a word from the artists about cameras though, because I've been to shows at certain venues where there was like a zero tolerance policy for cameras, then the next show there they didn't care. Depends a bit on which security guard you're next to too, if theyre feeling particularly power-trippy they may try to limit camera use, but none of the ones in my section cared one bit about cameras.
  9. lol YIKES. i didn't even get my purse checked by security going in and had absolutely no problem when I whipped out my camera before the show right infront of security and did a few test shots. And it's not like you had some big huge professional camera either, so thats a bit weird.
  10. lets blackmail him with this footage. I suggest we demand nudie pics. I think it's the only way to quell the anger and confusion here, eh?
  11. that's so cool! I think I may have seen you with your gal, you two are a youngish bunch right? I was lined up outside gate 10 before the doors opened if you were there waiting.
  12. Wow awesome pic Kaybee! So lucky! The security guard I talked to told me it was always best to buy tickets on the day of the event... the good seats actually really get freed up then, and it seems BCfan's review confirms that. I should have had a look in the morning and sold the ticket i had to a scalper or something. Ah well! next time, next time. Malcolm, did you get the umbrella at the end of Lovers? If so, I have a shitty video of it, where I think I sort of see him passing it down. I just thought he was giving it to a roadie or something though, since I couldn't see that side's action too well from where I was.
  13. is it Clocks maybe? i know he did it last night, I'm not 100% sure of the song either though. Sorry I guess I'm not much help hah.
  14. Here's some pics and some really shitty videos that will probably only be bearable for me to watch as they're more just to keep as memories. Asking us to show Will some appreciation during Hardest Part [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eueLNcXGHfo]YouTube - Coldplay, SP, HB 074[/ame] C-stage ditty (wont be able to see anything, just to hear the improv ditty) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91LerUWOwnM]YouTube - Coldplay, C-stage ditty, June 21 Vancouver[/ame] tiny bit of Politik (i had more of the song from the beginning, but stopped filming when some guy had to get infront of my camera because he was fucking LEAVING. seriously did not like the group of people next to me and the group infront.) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XiC4kpTabs]YouTube - Coldplay, SP, HB 086[/ame] I'd have recorded longer videos, but my camera was showing me the Low Battery sign 5 pictures into Snow Patrol, so I was paranoid and wanted it to last to the end. (it finally died during LiT II!) Oh also, judging from this picture, I think the dragon costume thing was during Lost! Sorry I know theyre not the best pics/vids :\
  15. Congrats Malcolm! was it you who was originally in 106? if so, you're very lucky to have been placed over there, since as I mentioned, the energy on the floor looked amazing! I should have tried my luck talking to some of those roadie types, but Im just too shy.
  16. He definitely mentioned the filming being for a concert DVD tonight. Does that mean concert DVD for release? don't know. But he mentioned it several times...he knew mentioning that we were being filmed would bring out our maximum energy and it did. So whether or not he's saying things he's not supposed to? Eh... I think as long as it seems a little wishy-washy and there's contradicting info out there, he wouldn't be getting into any trouble with anyone if it were to actually be released, (aside us, who are confused) for telling the crowd they were going to be in a DVD. And if it's not going to be released...then he just wanted to film an energetic crowd that thought they might be able to see themselves on dvd sometime.
  17. Just got back. Chris mentioned specifically that the filming was for a concert DVD several times tonight, last night I wasn't so sure I heard the word 'DVD' but tonight I definitely did. Who knows if it's for release or not. It could be that they don't want to announce a DVD that will be for purchase in the future? Or perhaps it really is just something for the bunch of them to watch in the future. But, he definitely called it a concert DVD whether that means it will be released...who knows. Another fantastic show, I'm just terribly sad now that it's all over. Back to reality...*sigh* The energy in the floor area looked amazing, so good job folks seated there. My row in 106 were a bunch of fuckin' lamos though(not all of 106). They didn't know songs other than the hits, and even sat down INBETWEEN songs. So, they had to be CONVINCED to stand again, ugh. Most of the time they did end up standing again, but it was irritating to watch. One guy near me kept getting up and leaving and coming back to do I don't know what, since he never came back with anything (beer, food, etc). Having him walk infront of me constantly while I was into some moment and having a blast was just irritating. But other than the few lame people who were around me the crowd looked energetic like last night, and maybe even more so in certain parts. I had a way better view of all the action in 106 than on the floor where i had to stand on my tippy toes, but again, just a bit jealous of how everyone was letting loose down there, while I was one of the few people dancing all crazy where I was. I was glad I got to see the full extent of Chris's dance moves tonight. :D He really couldn't be more cute with all that, really I don't understand reviews that say he needs to do less "rockstar posturing" and leaping around...it's clear he's just having fun and I think it helps get the audience into it. Setlist the same as last night. Some of Chris's banter and antics were different, some the same. Chris put on the dragon costumey thing during one song, think I got a picture of it. :D Chris has us sing that last bit of yellow, the "ooooow" part for Guy and inserted comments about Guy being handsome in the last line. Guy looked cute and shy being put in the spotlight like that hehe. Saw someone with a sign that said "Chris are you having a laugh" and lol'd in rl. :D Maybe today my hearing has been broken in by last night's concert, but tonight sounded somehow clearer to me and Chris's voice sounded better. Could very well have been my imagination or me remembering wrong. I have some pics and videos from tonight, but my camera battery died during LiT II so I'll look through them tomorrow to see if anything is worth posting. :) Oh talked to a security guard who was checking people's tickets in my section (i was one of the first people in), and he said he'd just met Chris and that he had been playing ping-pong, and was a completely down to earth, friendly guy. Wondering if a career as a security guard for GM place is my true calling in life now. :p
  18. First I'll see you in the 106 section maybe! Sadly Im not going to be seated with anyone I know tonight as Im going alone, but I think I'll rock out plenty anyway and not let anyone inhibit my fun. Anyway...were they handing the CD's out at the doors? I was seated on the floor last night and the exit I went to there was no one giving anything out. Then immediately I was part of the crowd going towards exit gate 3. I saw several people holding the CD's...but none handing them out. :(
  19. I was actually suprised how long they played. I thought it wouldnt be longer than 90 minutes. The classical peice was almost done playing at 9:01 and lights came up at 10:58 according to my cell phone.
  20. suuuuupppppeeerrr fake.
  21. fucking amazing. Never seen a Vancouver crowd so into a concert and I've seen some pretty legendary artists and bands. My bf and his friend went, both not Coldplay fans, both said they were surprised by how upbeat and fun it was and that theyd see them again.
  22. WOOO! I got maybe 2 hours of sleep last night and was still so pumped up from last night that I just got back from an hour at the gym and still feel hyper and excited! cannot wait to get more energy out tonight!!!!1!!!!!11!
  23. In Vancouver, it doesn't what concert you're at, people will smoke pot no matter who theyre seeing. I definitely smelled some weed during and after Yellow last night, but other than that it seemed less than normal for Vancouver
