  1. Them's fightin' words! *rolls up sleeves* (kidding of course ;))

I dreamed I went back in time to London before the guys were famous so I could meet them, and we were chatting at this club and I was telling them about how big they were gonna be and accidentally... er... I kind of gave them the lyrics for Yellow. Which might explain why none of them seem to know what the song is about or where it came from. Woops! My bad! :nice:
  3. If you know the shipping cost, you can go ahead and pay. If you bought it internationally or don't know the shipping cost for some other reason, there is a button on your auction page that says "request total from seller" or something like that. Or you can just email them for the final price with shipping. :) But again, if the listing includes shipping costs (as they usually do), go ahead and pay. Not all sellers send invoices. I get one maybe one in twenty auctions at most.
  4. I think at work tomorrow I'm going to listen to my playlist alphabetically. Amsterdam to Your World Turns Upside Down. Only downside is will I be able to listen to 7 versions of In My Place in a row without losing it?
  5. I have to work that day and then drive 2.5 hours. I'll be pulling in with little time to spare. I guess it's probably lucky I didn't get pit tickets... My assigned seating will be there waiting! ;)
  6. Not at all! I meant to thank you, actually. ;) It's funny, because this thread got me thinking. Even if you took, say, my 12 least favorite Coldplay songs, and that was hypothetically their only album, they'd still be my favorite band. I think that says a lot. :)
  7. Whatever you do with new listeners, don't bombard them with a dozen songs at once! Send them one or two at a time... Hold back your enthusiasm; I know it's hard, but you don't want to scare them off! I'm doing this with a friend of mine currently. Every couple days I send her a youtube link, "check THIS song out, now!" :)
  8. All right, just for you, I went back and gave the song another good listen. I was thinking maybe what I'm missing is a good emotional attachment to the song. So I closed my eyes, put it on a second time and imagined myself back at the old lake cabin my grandparents had growing up, walking along on a cold windy day through the little cottonwoods that would pop up along the shore whenever the water levels went down. And suddenly I was like  Easy to Please! :bigcry: (in a good way though--I've had a few really bad days) Still not my favorite song, but I'm not going to say I can't stand it. In fact, I'm going to re-check it on my iTunes playlist. :nice: *sniffle*
  9. :sleeping2: Shouldn't have listened to this one before lunch. -_- Beautiful voices, though! :)
  10. WHAT?! You're supposed to know these things! Hahaha. ;) All the wiki has is "At a charity gig on 27th November 2006, Chris Martin performed a four-song set, including two Bob Dylan covers, a song by The Killers and a brand new Coldplay song titled 'Bucket For A Crown'. Chris claimed that he had written the new song just the night before with the help of a violin player who also joined him on stage." I'm kind of curious now. Who is this mysterious violin player? Probably not the same guy if it was back in 2006. :)
  11. Is he the guy Chris wrote "Bucket for a Crown" with, or was that a different violinist?
  12. Idiot. Because yeahright can't stand it. :sneaky:
  13. Yup. Unreleased. There are two slightly different live recordings... one is Live @ Sydney 2001. I'm not sure where the other is from. I love them both though and would kill for a studio version of this song.
  14. I don't think Idiot was a B-side... was it? edit: nope. :) I had to warm up to Politic too, actually. I think it was hearing the Live 2003 version with the long intro that made me appreciate it. :)
  15. This thread has to stop! It's tearing us apart!
  16. Replace it with the acoustic version for awhile! I've learned to re-love some songs after listening to alternate or live versions for awhile. :)
  17. Hm. Well I was afraid at first to admit Rainy Day but after some of the songs you guys are posting... :stunned: Rainy Day!
  18. Easy to Please. I think I could really love it if they had done away with all the wind and echos and crashing waves and voices in the background. "and I'm (fwwwshh!!) so... (fwwwsh!) eaaasy to please... soo eeaaa(Fffwwwshhh!!)" :shifty:
  19. Ooooh oh! I wonder what the cover art will look like. Think they'll use an Arabic style for that, too? :D edit: This stuff can be really beautiful: (I have no idea what it says...)
  20. So do I usually, haha!!! Stop looking at me like that, Chris! I'm SORRY! :o
  21. Who me? I'm not causing any trouble today! >.> <.< (edit: I'm causing trouble and Chris seems to be pointing accusingly into my SOUL! :o)
  22. Al right, I'm sorry! Guess I just felt you were being a tad pushy and when I asked about the photo I thought I saw a resemblance to this... But good luck to you. Hope you get what you think it's worth. I'm shutting up now! ;)
  23. Oh for pete's sake. I'm an artist myself, and you are starting to irk me. >: / "It seems that at 39.99 GBP you were all saying you couldn't afford it. This was really cheap as most artists would sell a lot higher." Not necessarily. "I have checked this out legally and I am breaking no laws as it is my painting to do with as I please..." Is your painting based on a photo to which you have reproduction rights?

When I first discovered this song, it happened to be a really stressful month for me. I emailed the song to my friend with the subject line "I ran away!" She thought I had run away back to Toronto!! Thankfully I had done no such thing. I think the song saved my sanity. ;)
