a random thought... for some reason ,whenever I hear "a cup of candles,oh they flicker,oh they flicker" I instantly rhyme it with "it's like a race who could undress quicker" from 50 Cent's candy shop! so irritating! :angry:

Well i think some of you guys are looking too much into stuff, but... I am in a band,of course, not even close as popular or good as Coldplay :) but the more time passes the more I realize that not everyone can be so much "into it" . Not everyone feels the same about certain songs, or the direction of music you go to - emotions,lyrics,melodies... There are 5 of us in the band and we don't even have an album, but we do get into conflicts about our songs... I can only imagine how it must feel when you are working on a 5th album... It's hard, the pressure, the clash of ideas and opinions... Even the closest friends, and yes,indeed, it is like a marriage... I completely understand what they mean when they say that - a group of you,usually very close friends work on something together, and it is a very private,intimate thing that you share - you express your deepest emotion through music, and when someone doesn't understand that, and you expect them to understand, like I do in my band, when I suggest something which is rejected and it is I who writes the songs, I feel kinda let down. So there are of course bad vibes here and there, always. The thing that i respect about Coldplay is that their chemistry is amazing. But for them to admit that they too have problems and negative vibes... I respect that even more. It takes guts. So umm... yeah I might have said a lot of bullshit now but that is the way I see it. sorry if I wasted your time :D

honestly, I believe Chris and Will are bossy... Johny and Guy seem not too dominant at all.

I find it just OK. That's all. Got some nice parts, but to me, most of the lyrics are awful. Christmas night, another fight - tears we cried a flood - got all kinds of poison in - of poison in my blood... Chris...seriously?:inquisitive:

OK, this song is not "playing it safe" - I am glad that they are doing this, hope the album will be as "risky" :) Nice.

God! How did I ever forget that one! It's definitely one of their best songs, and IMO it should have been a single , along with Glass Of Water! They deserved videos. Hahahaha I know, I get it, Politik is played every time but I believe it should have been a single. AROBTTH should have had at least 2 more singles. Not that the 4 ones weren't already perfect though. And yeah I agree about See You Soon. :) And Viva La Vida is underrated here. It is such a unique song, I still get chills when I hear it. Daylight is indeed amazing. :) Damn, I should have made an "overrated songs" thread instead, I seem to like so many of their songs :)

I wish Speed of sound wasn't on the album. To me it's such a pointless song. The text is ridiculous, the musuc is such a dull copy of Clocks... IMO, they should have used Square One as the first single.... OMG can't believe I forgot these two as underrated songs... Things I Don't Understand How You See The World

I know! they never play the dark ones, and they are so awesome! Yes sounded great live, from that Toronto gig clip... And the extended outro...Will going wild... fantastic!

What are the most underrated Coldplay songs in your opinion? Dunno if there is a thread like this, hope there isn't... Here's my list of the songs that I think that should have been singles/released on an album/played live more often...
