I hate it when someone says: "that is a bad record", "that is a good record". who the hell are you to say that? I mean, it's all relative. Art is a relative thing. So fucking state your opinions as they are, not claim as if you were the world's best critic ever. PERSONALLY, I love Viva La Vida. It has something that most albums don't have. A story, a style, a feeling... Love it or hate it, you can't deny its originality, compared to the previous albums and compared to today's music. Another thing I can't understand is why do people , fans of ANY musician out there HAVE to whine constantly about the new stuff... That's the way it is people , face it. Do you believe they'd still exist if they had released another Parachutes album? No, because they would have split, cuz they'd get bored of it. Or they would just become another band no one cares about (check Goo Goo Dolls for instant, all of their songs are the same). Coldplay makes beautiful music. If you don't love it, well, your choice, just stop crying over spilt milk. And I agree with the post above - it's not selling out, it's growing up. You can't write about the same stuff when you are 20 and when you are 30, 40... Besides, if you love one side of someone (in this case one album of the band), then you should love the other one (other albums)...

I must say that hearing Dancing In The Dark after Spanish Rain, I am pretty disappointed... I truly hope that the songs do not end on LP5... Cause they can do better, they can do their own music.

The album songs I am not crazy about are... High Speed - too slow, his voice sounds boring What If - too long, it loses its point Speed Of Sound - such a Clocks copy, I just can't make myself like it...never could A Message - the album version is kinda boring,but I loved the Haiti version Chinese Sleep Chant - doesn't fit Viva La Vida album but at all IMO. Rainy Day - too... bouncy and cartoony, I don't know... I always imagine Teletubbies running around when I hear it... And there is not ONE song on AROBTTH which I hate. A Whisper is genius for me, so haunting and psychedelic, they will never make a song similar to it. So underrated and artistically brilliant. People hate it just cause it's not commercial and very Coldplay. But I just love it cuz of it. And the b-sides... No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground - I can't stand it... it's horrible. A Spell A Rebel Yell - boring, undefined Such A Rush - depressive Bigger Stronger - depressive, boring text .. FAaaaster... CAaar... WTF.

straight guy over here ! and proud to be a Coldplay fan. fuck what they say, these guys are amazing, I don't care even if they were all gay and enjoying a foursome, their music would still be fucking awesome. plus they are the just the nicest, down to earth folks in music you could find. :)
