  1. Hahaha, that just made me chuckle. :laugh4:
  2. Sorry, I didn't know! It's a beautiful live version of this song: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLloZasxbic]Fink - Yesterday Was Hard On All Of Us - YouTube[/ame] Hope this one works for you. All his songs are amazing, if you like this listen to "Sort of Revolution", that song started my love. :)
  3. Wow, so you have some experience, eh? It's really cool, this made my day! Together with EBIAB ("Every BeerCan Is A Brewery") Coldplaying could become big in the business now that we have 2 singles! We need a whole album!!!!!! :awesome:  This forum can use some more humour, especially now. Big hugs and :heart:s
  4. PAI!!! No, you won't get any hate but only love for this!!! :awesome: This is amazing, thank you! There's even the high choir bit! Nice work. How long did it take you? Now THIS is a song I have an emotional connection with hehe
  5. What a fitting song: http://www.tape.tv/vid/138901  I feel like spamming his music all over the board.
  6. I agree with Zeya (hi hun!). Pai, please share your song with us!
  7. He just tweeted this gem: http://www.tape.tv/telly/fink&channel=fink_add_koop
  8. Hehe no worries, I'll give them another chance for sure but because of work alone I won't be able to travel much for them (not even close to like I did during the VLV tour). To add to it all the last time I saw them was a disaster. And it was my 10th concert, with lots of people I love and we were totally prepared to have a great time but it came otherwise. That's something that is part of my disappointment, too. Of course everyone can have a crappy day but at Main Square Festival it was just one hiccup too much... so much went wrong. It was impossible to get into it the way it was the 9 times before. Ah well, I better stay silent now and do something productive before I leave for work hehe  EDIT: I'm now listening to this gem: http://www.tape.tv/telly/fink&channel=fink_add_koop
  9. I also like Charlie Brown and UATW and HLH... but like you I'm worried about the studio version after hearing what they did to MM. POC already sounded very hip hop (but certainly not bad!) and I'm curious what the song will be like. I was sceptical when I heard Maroon 5 made a song with Christina Aguilera but in the end I love the song and her part isn't that prominent in the song. :P All in all I'm terrified like you hehe Yes, we'll know more in 6 weeks! I hope you're right. :nice: It's nice to see that normal discussions are possible here btw. :)
  10. I am one of the front row girls, yes. I can't even remember how many banners I made... last one was "Good to see you again" with Charlie Brown drawing on it haha. (No, I never made any offensive banners. :laugh4:) At the moment I couldn't even justify spending big amounts of money to see them in concert to myself. It's gotten this bad. Just last weekend Imke and me had our "anniversary" of meeting Chris and Guy rather by accident in front of the Bakery. It's nice thinking back of all the awesome memories I have because of CP. Soon it'll be one year since the boat trip (and the fun night at Dublin Castle the day after)! :cheesy: Here's a little summary of why I don't like 4 out of the 4 properly released songs so far: - ETIAW: disaster, there is a reason why Ritmo de la Noche hasn't been played on the radio since the 90's. Recycling other songs in the first one you hear after they went into retreat was a big disappointment but the Rock am Ring stream gave hope. - Major Minus: The live version was great to listen to. Then there was the studio version. Muffled vocals, too silent in comparison to the instrumentation and on top of that the distortion of the vocals. Second miss for me. It could've been better. - Moving to Mars: Nothing in this song fits together for me. There seem to be 3 separate parts... The high "Maaaaars" bit ruined the bit of emotion that the rest managed to evoke in me. There are simply too many ideas put into one single song when they could've made 3 out of it. - Paradise: There has been said enough about it since yesterday I think. It lacks emotion, I can't relate to it in any way. The youtube piano cover clearly shows that the song has potential that hasn't been used. It just screams "we want this to be a hit" so they put too many ingredients into it. What bothers me most is that this song probably was born on a simple piano melody but then was modified into this pop-synth crap with the children-choir-like "Para- Para- Paradise" bit that was only worsened by the high "uuuuh"s at the end. Wow, didn't think I'd write this much hehe Wembley week was awesome!! All the stress was worth it and bad times or lack of sleep are forgotten, we had a great time being emotional and then one minute later jumping and singing our lungs out hehe  We were a great group I think. I agree with everything you said. Yes, it's not just the music, right? We had awesome experiences together and now it seems like it won't ever be the same again because it was the music that brought us together originally. Mhmm, don't know how to express myself right now, I hope you know what I mean? :uhoh: :embarrassed: Oooh, just remembered I need to update this graph I made when ETIAW was released!
  11. ^Don't know who you are and where you came from all of a sudden (and all the other new posters with nicely worded criticism) but I like your points a lot. And your user name. Us disappointed ppl need to vent for a while I think... I'm glad this place exists to let it all out.
  12. Something similar to that... I'd still love to know what was wrong at Main Square festival. They stopped IMP and started again from the beginning. Fix You was also corrupted because a piano backing track (I think) started too early when Chris hadn't even had his fingers on the piano. Weird concert, don't want to think about it anymore. Agreed. I really really really hope that this era will be filled with at least a couple of acoustic concerts. Those could be awesome.
  13. In reply to the question in the thread's title: Certainly not me. The last bit is just successfully worsening the already bad impression after the crappy high "Para- Para- Paradise" bit. :disappointed: :bigcry: I'd never have thought I'd say something like this about a CP song. (I stayed mostly silent when ETIAW was released. :P)
  14. I'm interested in the way it'll develop in the future. Two years ago I certainly wouldn't have thought that I'd be in a very sceptical mood for the new album. I can't compare it to previous releases because I wasn't here on the board then but I think the amount of people being disappointed (almost everyone I got to know personally at concerts is as sceptical and afraid of what's to come as I am) is exceptional. I guess we haven't talked then. :P

  17. Thanks Ian! Videos like the one you linked to make me hope for lots and lots and lots of acoustic concerts. Now that would be something I'd really try to get tickets for! Violet, was that a yes? :wink3: :bomb:

  19. THALIAAAAAA!!!! I  your new avatar!
  20. Ooooh great news!! Fingers crossed somebody will record... they don't have a 'listen again' option and I'll be working when it airs. :disappointed:
  21. Two people already said that it sounds exactly like part of the Shrek soundtrack, too.
  22. Me neither... so that's why we have to talk about today's disaster here then? :bigcry: I'm screwed then. I want a new Muse live DVD. :snobby: That'd be a great distraction. :awesome:
  23.   Please do it!! :awesome:
