Finally... my review... sorry it took so long! :embarrassed: I'm working for a film festival at the moment and that is quite exhausting and time consuming... plus I have to do things for my actual work on top... First, let me say that I'm not really good at putting my feelings into words. Whenever I have to write something about movies I've seen (for work) I stare at the empty message field for an eternity before I have sorted my mind! This is the first time I'm participating... hope I'm not doing it wrong. :uhoh: Anyways, here it goes: Track 1: "I wanna be where you are"... "lose your speed"... Good opener, I like the lyrics and melody! At the beginning I thought it was a little "U2-ish" but then that feeling quickly faded. I like the song. :) Track 2: This one's more calm, I like the singer's voice!! It reminds me of some singer's voice but I can't tell which one. :bomb: It's a rather simple song but good to listen to at work because it's not "disturbing". The instrumental part in the middle and at the end itself / alone would have been a nice song, too! Track 3: Instant love when I heard the guitar at the beginning, no disappointment either when the vocals and other instruments start! Such a nice song, exactly my taste. :heart: Thank you, mixtape-maker!! Track 4: Another instant love track! I listened to this one a couple of times, got it stuck in my mind for hours. It's so "fresh and happy-making" for lack of a better description... I'm so exhausted! :disappointed: Track 5: This one's more suitable for depressed Sundays at home... my feeling anyways. Not a bad thing at all though. :D I like the brass in it!! Track 6: Uiii, more upbeat, it's like... Kasabian meets Bon Jovi in a good way?? I suck at describing. Big time. I don't want to insult the song hehe. It's nice but there are better songs on this mix for me. :) Track 7: This one sounds as if it's older already or just retro? Anyways quite cool song, nice rhythm. I like the strings, can't go wrong with strings in songs hehe. I'd label it as "radio friendly" song. Track 8: The Killers!! Does my mixtape-maker have a subscription to Q magazine as well I wonder? I'm not a fan of U2 but I really liked the "Achtung Baby Covered" album, we play it at work, too. :) Track 9: Milow, second song I knew hehe A colleague at work gave me his album... You picked one of the songs I like. Milow annoyed me big time with this "You and me in my pocket" song. I could rant for a long time about how much the lyrics annoy me but I better let it be, doesn't belong here. Track 10: Another one of those songs that have won already within the first seconds of listening. Very short! Could be from a soundtrack? I'm curious to find out who the female singer is. Track 11: Haha, change of genre. Kaiser Chiefs!!! Makes me remember the great time at Main Square Festival last summer. :heart: We had so much fun during their set. Basically all Saturday was awesome. :awesome: Thanks for this. :D Track 12: Without knowing the song itself, it's pretty clear who it comes from hehe I hadn't listened to the new Noel album but now I'm curious to listen to the rest. If only I had more time... Can't wait until this month is over. At least I hope then I'll have more time again. :embarrassed: Track 13: Aaaah I love that song! I can't tell if I've heard it before or if it just stuck with me so much while listening that I just feel like I know it!! Curious to know who is singing, it's a gorgeous quiet song. Thank you! Track 14: I didn't know this song but Keane's sound is pretty easy to recognise, right? I only have a copy of "Hopes and Fears" from my boss. Another song in the category of "floats nicely in the background while working". :) Track 15: It always depends on my mood which genre I like, I listen to pretty much everything from Nick Drake to AKA AKA, the whole palette except metal actually... This one fits perfectly to my current mood! It's uplifting with cool lyrics and melody. I like! Track 16: Shit!! I know that band but can't tell which one it is without cheating! I hate that hahaha Cool feel-good song! :dance: One for dancing around in the bathroom while getting ready to go out! Or to dance to without caring what you look like, at 4am in a small club. :lol: Track 17: Same category than no. 16! :dance: I love the dialogue between the two singers! Track 18: Mhmm, least favourite song, sorry. :shrug: It's the voice that puts me off the most. I feel like I should know who this is. :thinking: In summary I have to say a huge THANK YOU to my mixtape-maker, it's mostly songs I didn't know but like a lot! :awesome: Top 3 songs are: 4, 13, 17 Like I said I put on your mix at work and my colleagues all liked it as well. Naja ich meinte auch generell bei Konzerten. :) Imke und ich waren z.B. bei Muse im Wembley Stadion... beide Tage 1. Reihe! :awesome: Wir hatten zwar extremen Schlafmangel, dafür haben wir aber auch Luft gekriegt. haha Bei Muse gehts halt n bissl mehr ab als bei Coldplay. :lol: 1. Reihe is bei CP halt cool, weil man viel mitkriegt, was nebenbei so abgeht: Phil läuft meistens rum, Roadies bedienen die Konfettimaschinen etc. Das kriegt man von weiter hinten alles nich mit. Und vor allem kann man sich vorher hinsetzen, sich vom Rennen erholen und seine Tasche vor sich auf dem Boden legen um gut tanzen zu können! :dance: Hach, waren schon schöne Zeiten. Hab nie so viel bei nem CP Konzert getanzt wie 2009 in Düsseldorf. Glass of Water war der Hammer. Frage mich auch, warum sie so dumm sind, LIT II nicht mehr zu spielen, das Lied war immer ein Highlight. Hab den drum stick immer noch hinter mir liegen :heart: Ich hoffe für euch, dass die Bühne nicht allzu hoch sein wird - sonst is der steife Nacken vorprogrammiert!
