Many opinions have already been posted about this and I just have to add my two cents to it ... You should NOT forget, it's neither a Coldplay concert NOR are there just Coldplay fans ... if the majority of people attending actually ARE Coldplay fans, then that's great. :) But this concert was set up to support Charity Organisation MENCAP and Coldplay may be the headliner but they are 'just' one of three artists performing there. So I doubt it will be a full set but maybe 45 - 60 minutes?! They don't play this show to please some 'diehard' fans but they play to 500 people who were lucky to get these tickets, it could also happen that the majority of people there would be Lily Allen or LaRoux fans ;) And I am pretty sure that they will choose a very special selection from all their albums but usually newer stuff/hit singles get the preference :) I really hope everyone will be happy with the setlist but trying to claim special songs from a special decade is just not right :(

'Cause they rely on the stupidity of the buyers :( Sad fact! :( The most annoying thing is that there are actually fans who are willing to pay the horrible prices and on this way kind of support the scalpers

Okay, as sad/depressed/miffed/angry as I was yesterday, seeing now that so many 'of us' will be there, makes me less disappointed. :) This is actually really great that so many Coldplayers were lucky to get tickets taking in consideration that only 500 were sold. There's probably also a small percentage of Lily fans there and just some people who took the chance to attend this once in a lifetime concert. Have fun everyone and use your Twitter accounts :) ;)

Coldplaying Christmas 2009: Secret Santa - Post a pic if you already received a card :D
I'm pretty sure that many Coldplayers already received their cards but that they just don't give feedback as they haven't logged on for a while ... Lore, did 170 people really take part at this project? That quite a lot honestly :stunned:

I got the card from my Secret Santa (which turned out to be KeddieChan :) ) just some 10 minutes ago :) Just wanted to let everyone know that it arrived safely. Pics to follow as I am about to run some errands. Thanks Katie *hugs* :)

We will be a little short of puns for the next week
Just stay positive. I mean ... he's now suspended for a week but if he continues to harass others Ian may delete his account for ever and always. So the suspension is a honest warning towards him. And in case he registers with a different username it can be revealed soon because of IP addies and then he's in even more trouble ... I really don't like 'slandering' over people and talking in general like this, but it's honestly sad that it had to come this far :(

We will be a little short of puns for the next week
Usually I'm a person who tries not to get into fights. Like Rudy said, I'm not really 'educated' enough to have arguments in english :laugh3: Maybe lame excuse but I reckon' this also saved me from getting into a discussion with no outcome. Where I see the whole problem is that he constantly comes to threads to do his word twisting which may have been funny at the beginning but it's not at all anymore! He knowingly clashed with certain people and followed these people to threads he wouldn't post in in the first place (for instance the C&C thread). So going to these threads, posting in there and starting fights/arguments and then refering to 'freedom of speech' is just so poor. It's more than obvious that it's pure provocation :( Usually I keep ignoring these kind of people but at some point you just can't do that anymore. He hijacks other threads and spreads a foul atmosphere so that many users don't feel like posting anymore ... :( How sad is that?! So then I went to the C&C thread and TRIED on a diplomatic and civilized way to make him aware why people disliked (hate is just such a strong word ;) ) him but again, he didn't get it at all ... So I really hope that this suspension will actually make him think. It would be for the better of the board.

Thanks Mich :) *hugs* I really don't want to overdramatise but I felt like shit yesterday.  Honestly I know that I should rather shut up with the Karma I had this year and all, but still ... Hope these goodies include some photos of a certain bandmember *coughs* :D

Okay, I was unable to enter this thread yesterday :( I know, it's so pathetic. I was aware that it was close to impossible getting tickets, but my friend had them in her basket and couldn't check them out and even ringing HMV wouldn't help/change anything. So that was really worse, literally having them but then again not getting them :bigcry: I got cheered up a little in the meantime and it doesn't feel as worse anymore. I am VERY happy for everyone from this forum being able to attend this super special gig and by reading the list, we can say there are quite a lot of people from the forum representing us little Coldplayers there, esp. given that there were only 500 tix available. Make sure to take some nice pictures, also from the whole setting around :) Wishing everyone loads of fun!

Coldplaying Christmas 2009: Secret Santa - Post a pic if you already received a card :D
Oh ... honestly, I'm not worried myself that I don't get a card. Even if I wouldn't have gotten one ... But some people put a whole lot of effort, time & costs into this thing and it would be a pity if they wouldn't get something in return. I am really happy that Lore & Alison seemed to have covered for every hickup which could happen ... ;)

Coldplaying Christmas 2009: Secret Santa - Post a pic if you already received a card :D
Sorry ... I meant the person I had to send my card to ... unfortunate wording, sorry :laugh3: She's not on the list that Lore set up. Not that I'm spying on her or so. But maybe others just aren't that regular on this forum and didn't report back and maybe even forgot about this whole Secret Santa thingy. That's why I think people should only participate if they are honestly want to do it ...

Coldplaying Christmas 2009: Secret Santa - Post a pic if you already received a card :D
I have just checked. My Secret Santa hasn't sent her card off yet ... which is a bit sad honestly (okay, I have checked as the person wasn't on the list and wasn't online since end of November). :( I really don't want to complain but people should only participate in this when they really want it and have the time to do so. I mean, some people would have missed out on cards if Lore & Alison wouldn't have covered up for them ...

Somewhere was written that anyone (even non UK residents) were entitled to buy tickets online. Or was the HMV Exeter queueing for UKers only?!
