Coldplay Rip off U2
I totally disagree. Because which band has not used several stage, big screens and stuuf for their live shows?? Response: almost every band! It's not proper to U2. Second: the Zoo TV Tour was heavily charged on political issues, Bono using his 'The Fly' character to phone leader of the world and arise political issues. Have you ever seen Chris on the Viva Tour: -creating a character like The Fly on stage? -Use a show as "political tool"? response for both: NO! The Viva Tour was a magical show but its 'intend' was completely different than the Zoo TV Tour. And I never seen Chris using a remote control on stage XDD The comparison you made are pointless since its applied to 90 % of the live shows out there!

A californian article about LP6! Nothing new under the sun, they compiled Gary's gushing over their new with Tom's techno comment and Jonny's one.... http://www.californiachronicle.com/articles/yb/151434266 I've very mixed feeling about LP6. On one side, I'm super excited based on Gary's excitement and his new reboost confidence and lyrics territory and on the other side, the 'techno' thing isn't my cup of tea... I know they'll never pull off a Daft Punk album but as much as I love JSY, I don't think I would like an entire album sounding like that....:/ We have to trust them on this...but I can't wait!!! :awesome: On the funny side, the boys made it third on the top list of 'best music to fall asleep to XD, after our CP boys and Micheal Buble I can understand why they're on this, their music, as CP, is so soothing but I would have put Sigur Ros n°1! THAT is dreamy music to make good dreams *w*

Coldplay 'most sleep-inducing' band according to new survey

Our lovely people from TTB... :D I'm glad they put it there in good quality cause I had this on 'several parts' and on .flv format, since I extracted it from YT back when it was still on it...But the image was small and crappy  Now I have it in avi and I can watch it on my TV :D

 I almost posted this one to illustrate my previous post!! But I think my favorite Run version ever (apart from the Little noise session) is the one he sang on the 'Songbook' show. For those who don't see what it is, it's that ITV session where he speaks about his songwritting... (sorry, the videos have disappeared from YT...:/ so here a pic from it)

She sings really well, I wish I had her voice! But these Leona Lewised versions are just emotionless to me... :shame: It's too 'over the top', all about the vocal demonstration, and it kills the emotion of the song to me.... I prefer the raw, 'simple' SP version where it's just about the feeling... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAZ0l8xi4XY]YouTube - Run[/ame] THAT is moving!

Thx for your Will pic Wisna!! The fans are lucky these days!!! I went 3 times (last one in july) and no boys... The second time, a guy parked outside the bakery and he looked like Will (glasses, shaved head...) I was with a friend and I started telling her 'OMG? this might be Will!! ' and she replied 'no, Will wouldn"t drive such a crappy car...' WHen the guy actually come out of his car, turned out it was Matt McGinn :D Wish it would have been my dear Will though... :shame:

Yeah and the other day, the security guy in the eurostar thought he was french  (WHY I never bump into him when I'm taking it?!! :bomb:) I don't like the album version one  The 'first' version was put on their website months before the album came out and my radio station used to play it, so I got use to that one... When I bought the album I was like 'this is NOT lucid dreams'?! :inquisitive: , just felt weird...still does!

The new album from former Kinks singer Ray Davies is out the first week of November in Europe. It's a collaborative record, featuring Davies reworking Kinks classics with the help of a star studded line-up including the Lightbody :D Here's a little vid of our favorite frontman in the studio with Davies (guess what tee he's wearing.. ) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3DKN2EuF6Q]YouTube - Ray Davies - Gary Lightbody - Tired Of Waiting For You[/ame] Nice choice of song, gL looks tired xD Still on the collaboration side, Nathan plays guitar on the new Ricky Warwick song called 'The whiskey song' XD “The Whiskey Song is a never say die song, sang with a never say die raw Belfast gusto.” quoting Ricky. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxa272np9gQ]YouTube - RICKY WARWICK - THE WHISKEY SONG[/ame] Too bad we don't see Nathan on the music video :/

Or she's just a delusional thinking gL wrote it to her  (just make a little google research too, apparently she covered the song on Radio Lounge..if you want to loose hear abilities, it's here  but nothing on gL writing it for her... And on all ITVs I've seen, the boys always talked about the pussicat dolls story...
-

+100000000 No, gL wrote Just say yes first for Gwen Stefani who rejects it, then it was handed to Nicole Scherzinger (Pussicat dolls) who recorded it, produced by Gary, but she sang it so badly that they took it back  (good for them!)

Dunno who that girl is. The chorus of course is really similar but I sense that the boys are suing to get some cash... v.v

That's Aurélie :) Slap me girl, I forgot to mention God (aka Jeff Buckley) in my list  :whip: (but for my defence, I was thinking of band...not singers...XD) Just for fun, here a bit of Make this go on forever @the Brazilian show (awesome note kept by gL at the beginning :stunned: ) but you can here the girl filming singing badly through the song, it's priceless and it reminded me of me during gig (for that, I apologize to the people who have been near me during gigs... :shame: ) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tHIaHgxjSM]YouTube - Snow Patrol - "Make This go on Forever"[/ame] :laugh3:

I recogn that the 'general' radio out there seems to don't let much space to rock/alternativ/indie rock.... It's kinda the same here but since we have 'quota' that force airwaves to play french music, the crap is divided by 2  There are a very few stations here that play good stuff... Come on, the indie US scene is good! RCHP, KOL, The Killers, Cold war kids, The white stripes, Gossip, Maroon5, the Dandy Wharols, Explosions in the sky, The Strokes, Tori Amos...those are good bands! But back on topic... From the brazilian show, startin with birthday boy love the lights on Nathan here and Mr Sweat :laugh3: (tsss...we already told you man: STOP WEARING A FUCKIN VEST WHEN IT'S ALREADY HOT!!!)

Same with me XD When I hear sthg that I like on the radio, 80 % of the time it's from UK/Ireland... I think that the music there is more orignal and 'melodic'... Dunno how to explain it, but each instrument can be heard indivually, it's not 'all goes at once' in a big 'whom-whom' like when you hear in US rock bands like Linkin park or stuff like that... (dunno if that make sense...) As for the XFM book, I hope my copy will arrive soon (but with the strikes, who knows... :dozey: ). I'll tell you if they're some funny details on SP ones ^^
