Still not up in iTunes for me yet.

Apparently there's a rumor flying around that LP6 will be called "Random Acts". I actually like that name.

Every time Coldplay is about to release a new song/album, I always get just as worried as excited. I always think, is this going to be the one? The Coldplay song/album that I don't like? The point where I don't like where they take their sound? Hasn't happened yet, but I always worry lol.

Well wouldn't they have had to have played an unreleased song live first? We probably would have heard about that by now.

That doesn't sound very consistent with the band's past releases but I suppose they have been known to randomly change up things like that so it's definitely possible.

You'd think that they'd release the single at the same time as the music video tomorrow. Isn't that what they usually do?

I remember when the album first came out, everyone commented on the "catch a cannon ball" line, saying that it was a Kung Fu Panda reference. At first I thought, why? That's such a random reference. Now that I think about it though, it makes perfect sense since the director of Kung Fu Panda was collaborating with Coldplay the entire time! I wonder if there are are any other hidden references to his work in the album or comics.

Could someone pm me that Princess of China instrumental? It's not on iTunes or anything...

I definitely agree. The lyrics are very simple and blunt. They're not bad and they're not lazy, but they are very straight-forward while still retaining an element of subjectivity so that people can take different things away from the song.

I got it off iTunes and I gotta say I really like the extra "la la la"'s at the end.

I just wish they would announce SOMETHING. It's like they're not doing anything but tease us.

My problem is that they didn't even give it the proper single treatment. No physical release, no vinyl release, no B-side, nothing. It's like they don't even care about promoting the album anymore since it's basically promoted itself thus far.

If we're following the Viva template then the EP should have come out this month. Obviously that didn't happen. The Prospekt's March Ep was released 5 months after Viva La Vida or Death and all His Friends.

If they do this then I hope they give us an EP this year.

I can't believe there's still no video or audio up of this. I missed it :(.

I'm pretty confident that the next single we get will have a B-Side, whether it's Princess of China or Charlie Brown. They seem to have left quite a few songs that they were really happy with off the album simply because they didn't fit. I think it's quite possible that we'll see the release of these songs in some way, shape, or form. Then we have that bit of news a while back about the band allegedly working on recording something new, so there's always that at least.

I thought it was really well done! I'm not a fan of "Pumped Up Kicks" but you did the mashup really well. Although I have to mention you got some of the lyrics in "Princess of China" wrong, but it was largely forgivable.
