  1. How do we know the announcement has anything to do with Coldplay? Maybe it just has to do with the actual fansite. Maybe they're upgrading the site or something like that. Don't get your hopes up too much guys.
  2. I've said this a million times in a million different threads but I will be heartbroken if this song isn't on the album.
  3. I would be pretty much completely heartbroken if we don't get a studio version of Hurts Like Heaven at some point. I always assumed it was a shoe-in but now I'm not so sure. :(
  4. I just think it was overproduced all around honestly. I also can't understand why they left out the guitar part during the little section after the first chorus.
  5. I have a feeling it will, sort of like "Don't Panic". It started off as a B-side with one mix then made it onto an album with a different mix.
  6. Well this is certainly an interesting surprise.
  7. I don't. If it is then we'll pretty much have heard the whole album.
  8. This tracklist is actually the most plausible one I've seen so far which actually makes me sad because it includes 7 songs that we've already heard live versions of and 4 songs that will have already have studio versions out at the time of the album release. Does this bother anyone else? We've already heard the vast majority of this album before it's been released. Granted the studio versions are bound to sound different from the live versions and hopefully "Major Minus" will have a new mix.
  9. This is the trouble with playing unreleased songs live. It creates a paradox in the fans. We want "new" songs on the album that we haven't heard yet but we also have fallen in love with the live unreleased tracks (Hurts Like Heaven, Princess of China, etc...) and are disappointed when/if they aren't included on the album. We can't have our cake and eat it too with a 42 minute limit on albums.
  10. I'm dying because I'm worried "Hurts Like Heaven" won't make the cut. It's my favorite of all the new songs and I would be heart broken if it didn't make the album :(.
  11. I actually like this idea. Gives the album a much more tight-feeling tracklist.
  12. It is indeed. Loved that game.
  13. I would listen to them.
  14. This would be amazing holy crap.
  15. From the Billboard interview: But you're only going to put 10 or so on the record, and haven't you recorded like 50? "No, no. We're going to finish 13. We've started like 490 or something crazy. But it's such a harsh culling process within the group, because it's such a democracy, that a lot of songs don't even make it 'til the end of Thursday." Also it will be 42.5 minutes long: Speaking about the musical direction of the record, Buckland says, "I suppose the theme would be letting loose musically; louder drums, louder guitars, more contrast. Then we wanted to go down to the most intimate moments, then back to the biggest we've ever been. We wanted to contain as many interesting ideas as we could fit into 42-and-a-half minutes." I suppose this could just mean 10 tracks and 3 b-sides though. Although it wouldn't make a difference outside of sequencing as we still get all 13 in the end. Edit: I got the title of the album wrong in the thread title. Complete fail on my part, hopefully one of the mods will correct it or people will kindly ignore it. :P
  16. Clearly missed our discussion of this lol. Look up a few posts and a page ago.
  17. I agree, we most likely will never hear of this song again. That said, as for "Christmas Lights" purposefully taking elements from "Wedding Bells"; eh... I'll believe it when it's confirmed. Still not buying it. It's not like this is the first time Coldplay has used similar chord progressions in two songs (it's probably not the second time, or third time, or fourth time either). It doesn't mean their writing processes had anything to do with one another. This is a claim that virtually no one but the band could confirm, which I doubt they ever will.
  18. Haha you don't sound like a smartass, I legitimately missed that one :laugh3:. Yeah I'm pretty sure there's other re-used lines. I can't think of them off the top of my head though.
  19. I don't understand why people say this when it's simply not true. They re-used one lyric: "all kinds of poison in my blood". How is this "incorporating the lyrics"? It's one line, and it's not like re-using lyrics doesn't happen with Coldplay (e.g. variations of "keeping my feet on the ground"). I just don't see this as a legitimate excuse as to why the song doesn't have a chance of being released since this claim just doesn't make sense.
  20. Never mind....got it lol
  21. Never mind....got it....lol
  22. Oh I guess direct links aren't aloud, I wasn't aware of that. Well nonetheless lol, could someone pm me with it?
  23. Can someone pm me a non-torrent link to the download? Like rapidshare/megaupload/etc... It'd be awesome if someone could! Thanks guys :D
  24. Can someone post a megaupload/rapidshare/etc...link please? Or pm me with it as well? I'm dying to hear this! Haha
