  1. Ouch, ouch, OUCH. :( Truth be told, this was always going to be a difficult date to reschedule, so I'm not completely surprised. It was at the end of a leg near the end of the tour in general. But it's still a shame. Hopefully they'll have some big plans down there next tour. My condolences to all Floridians, and to Dianne and the other out-of-state folk who were planning on flying (and had already flown the first time).
  2. Chris: "Jonny, can I tell you a secret?" Jonny: "Sure." Chris: "I love you!" Jonny: "That's not a fucking secret."

    The Fix - Elbow
  4. Will: "Five points if I bean Chris in the head with my drumstick, ten points if I knock him unconscious, and twenty points if I do all that by bouncing it off the bell!"
  5. Hmm...interesting. I'd like to see another publication chip in on the matter (mainly to get more solid information), but if true, I suppose it's best for both sides. Unfortunately, it may mean the anti-Coldplay crowd may never shut up about this for the rest of the band's career. But this quiet close to the often-dramatic chapter is appropriate enough.
  6. They probably won't chant before the act begins anymore, however. Just during the song itself. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Viva become the next encore.
  7. Consider yourself very fortunate, actually. :P
  8. They're my #1. I don't like everything they do, but being critical actually makes me appreciate them more. And trust me, a fair few other bands are quite competitive for that #1 spot, so it's not like Coldplay is in a league of their own. But still enough to give them the crown.
  9. Awesome. Too bad Guinness gives out so many ridiculous records these days that it's become a lot less serious. Still, congrats.
  10. Damn, sounds awesome. A few days after my 21st birthday, but I doubt anyone would pay me for the hour-long flight up there. Unless I organized a weekend road trip. Though I have to wonder, with that many artists performing, is Chris even gonna have that much time?
  11. They won't ditch Yellow. Mark my words. That would signify a complete abandonment of everything that made them who they are (and I know somebody is going to joke, "They already have!") The "Big 4", as I call them, will always stay: - Yellow - Clocks - Fix You - Viva la Vida Some other potential candidates include "In My Place" and "The Scientist". While songs like "Lovers in Japan" and "Politik" will likely stick around for at least another tour, I don't see them staying for the band's eternity.
  12. Honestly, I think Taylor Swift has talent, unlike Miley or the Disney crowd. I don't really listen to her songs, but I still get annoyed when she's associated with the Jonas Brothers of the world. The girl definitely has a gifted voice, and deserves an award over Lady GaGa any day. And yeah, she's pretty.
  13. Kanye West is a gay fish, according to South Park. Well, Coldplay didn't win anything after all, but let's face it - Viva's video was a weak entry. The videos since have been better, but with VLV, you have the popularity factor going in. Whatever, Coldplay has won so many awards in the past year that anything else is almost an after-thought.
  14. Chris: "Boy, oh, boy, that chocolate cake looks FANTASTIC! I would sell my soul for a slice of that cake!" Guy: "I would sell Chris's soul for a slice of that cake!" Jonny: "So delicate...so chocolatey...I feel so horny right now. This must be what Chris's soul is like." Will: "Caaaaaaake...waaaaaaant...noooooowww...*indistinguisable drool sounds*" Spike Haired Dude: "Say, I couldn't help but overhear that you would sell your soul for a slice of cake. My name's Satan. Let's talk business."
  15. DAYLIGHT. Following Clocks is a tall order, and that may have soured the song for me at first, but I find it a great listen now. Chinese Sleep Chant is another one. Seemed like ho-hum filler at first, but it sounds great right before Viva.
  16. I'm no fan of the VLV video, but Best Art Direction is admittedly suitable, as I'd give it that award over any of the others it was nominated for. So congrats. Perhaps this wraps up the (endless) awards for the VLV era? As turned off as I am by Lady GaGa, that Asher Roth guy pisses me off SO much more. Disgusted to see him on there. :veryangry2:
  17. Is it me, or do people place far too much weight on that 2008 article about a new album so soon? Things change, and that was well before Coldplay had much of the 2009 tour even planned. Likewise, they have had far less time in the studio.
  18. Moreover, how many among those people actually attended the gig? Because even folks who didn't go would love a free show. From what I've heard, it was a brief blip in LIT followed by a brief blip in Violet Hill, and the rest of the show was flawless. Technical issues happen, but this whole petition thing seems like a waste of time.
  19. All right, so I wrote this up while listening to the full album the second time. I need food now, but the following summarizes my thoughts on each track: Time will tell where I rank this in the oirder of Muse albums (though I envision that I'll at least place it above Showbiz and BH&R). To sum it all up, my album favorites are Resistance, Unnatural Selection, and I Belong to You, while I'm not as big on United States of Eurasia and maybe Guiding Light and MK Ultra. There's no terrible song on the album, though. Can't wait to blare this in my car. :D
  20. Just finished a first full listen. :D I'm not gonna give any review until I listen to the whole album at least once more, but I must at least recommend to others that you listen to Exogenesis IN FULL, rather than piece by piece.
  21. I'll hopefully be seeing them in L.A. in October (BTW, a second date for L.A. was just added). The reason I say "hopefully" is because my friend's schedule is still up-in-the-air.
  22. Odd...mine is also the 360 version. My friend is getting the Wii version soon...I'll check if the problem is present on his also.
  23. So wait, it was "Buckland" on your version? Which console did you play the game for?
  24. Downloading now! :D Also, it may not be a leak, but it's the next best thing - UPRISING TEDDY BEARS ON SALE! http://muse.mu/shop/product/147/uprising-teddy/menu/17/accessories/
