I don't expect them to appear for more than two minutes, but some potential jokes that might make the cut (except they'd actually be witty): Homer: "Make Trade Fair? I agree! The fair here stinks! But if we make a Trade Fair...hey what's the difference between a trade fair and a swap meet, anyways?" Chris: "Mr. Simpson, I don't think you understand." Homer: "Oh yeah, James Morrison? Why don't you and I take it out back?" Chris: "Actually, I'm..." Homer: "I'm just kidding. I like you, James." Bart: "Wow, Coldplay! You guys rock!" Chris: "No, we really aren't that good. Actually, I think we suck." Lisa: "Oh my goodness, it's Guy Berryman!" Guy: "Oh great, another Berrygirl, I assume?" Lisa: "Actually, I am more appreciative of your musical abilities and your commitment to stop drinking." Guy: *confused and disoriented look, then runs away* Marge: "Oh, I love Coldplane! My favorite song is 'When I Ruled the World'!" Nelson: "You know how I know you're gay?" Bart: "Because I like Coldplay?" Nelson: "No! Well...actually yes, but also because you're friends with Milhouse!"

I also got into the band with Eyes Open, even though "Run" was actually the song that piqued my interest in Snow Patrol. I recall hearing "Chasing Cars" quite a few times on the radio and not really caring for it. I like it a bit more now, but it's one of my least favorites on the album. "Crack the Shutters" seems like a song that should have been more popular than it was. My local radio station continues to play it frequently (along with - oddly enough - "Shut Your Eyes"), but I guess AHMS didn't have the mainstream appeal that Eyes Open did. And even though I'm registered on snowpatrol.com, I don't really visit the forum. Maybe seeing them live will change that. After all, I didn't join Coldplaying until after seeing Coldplay live...

X&Y. Any of those B-sides could have fit onto the album seamlessly, and a few like Gravity and Things I Don't Understand are probably better than a few songs on the actual album. AROBTTH B-sides win for quantity, but there are a couple I don't like.

It is a little concerning that Coldplay can make their way into such a game, but I guess that's what happens with mainstream popularity. Still, does the Miley crowd really listen to Coldplay in the first place? :thinking:

Engines actually gives me vibes of Final Straw. I don't think they play it live, but it's a pretty good song. Lifeboats is the only song I skip over on AHMS. I'm giving that whole album plenty of replays before I see them in two weeks.

In the latest Rolling Stone issue, Matt talks about how he's relatively unfamiliar with Glenn Beck.
