  1. yeah, it should be Cm7 on the 4th fret (remember it's tuned down a semitone)
  2. Yeah. Sometimes they have to call the bands and ask for guitar tunings and then even sometimes meet with the bands to be shown how to play certain songs. I know this from hearing Matt from Muse talking about it on some radio interview. But he did say that after telling and showing them the correct way to play the songs they just wrote something else anyway
  3. what's with all the old b-sides guys?? Jesus. :P
  4. yeah, they always has mistakes in them.
  5. Fmaj13, well it's almost a maj13 as it's missing the major 7 note but anyway for the purpose of this song it has 'F-A-D-G' Eb6 has 'Eb-Bb-G-C' Bb6 has 'Bb-D-F-G' Cm6 has 'C-A-Eb-G'
  6. I has to be White Shadows, for me. (But then again, do I want this song overplayed?? hmmm :/ )
  7. I'll do this as simple as possible coz I have got time otherwise..... I'm taking into consideration the notes played by all instruments and coming out with quick overall chords ok... Intro/Chours Eb6, Fmaj13 Verse Gmaj, Bb6, Eb, Cm (swaps for Cm6 sometimes) Instrumental Part/Outro Gmaj (swaps for G7 sometimes), Bb6, Eb, Cm (or Cm6)
  8. Just going straight from the guitar tab I wrote above (well, it's nearly the same) the Piano notes for that Idiot riff are: (Bare in mind that there is a G note there that should be played an octave higher sometimes, I'll add a '+' sign next to the highest one, you'll easily figure that out I hope) B, C, G, C, G+, G, C, G+, G, C, B, F, G, B, F, G, B, A, F, G, A, F, G, A, F, G, E, C, G, E, C, G. I put a couple of 'C' notes in there at the end just to make it flow right with the rhythm of the riff. The 'C' notes aren't on there guitar riff or the piano for that matter, I think, but because on guitar you can play the exact same pitched note on more than one string at the same time it just doesn't fit to piano like that. Anyway, you should be able to work out what chris plays at the end of the riff, he just plays a couple of notes a few times (G & E and errrrrmmm stick a A and F in there just before the riff re-peats if you feel like it  )
  9. Well, on the guitar the chours/instrumental riff Jonny plays on Idoit is....(Beginners better listen to the song a few times, I would guess) ho = Hammer-On & / \ = slide finger up or down e|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- b|-----------------8----------8---------------6----------6------------6--------6---------- g|-----------0---------0----------0---------------0----------0-----------0--------0----- d|--9ho10----10---------10---------10--9----------9----------9\7--------7--------7--- a|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- e|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- e|--------------------------------------------------| b|--6----------5----------5------------------------| g|------0----------0----------0--------------------| d|--------7\5---------5----------5----------------| a|--------------------------------------------------| e|--------------------------------------------------| Jonny sometimes slides up to the X-X-7-0-6-X position at the end there in place of the last X-X-5-0-5-X one, usually during the instrumental part of the song.
  10. Yeah, but I couldn't ever harm a 105 year old could I...?? ;)
  11. 'Where Is My Boy' and 'Your Love Means Everything'???? I think Faultline will be glad to know that some people consider those Coldplay songs :( :P  Plus lot of other ones aren't Colplay tracks.
  12. The obvious one for beginners is Don't Panic.
  13. haha. it's funny. :)
  14. I come to accept that alot of people know nothing
  15. rehearsing speed of sound now...so I guess they are playing that.
  16. in the next few days though, yeah.
  17. Your going to be able to watch the performance on digital interactive TV when you press the red button ;) (not live though, in a few days I guess)
  18. Easy as pie...c'mon Will is good enough to stick to timing of the metronome 'sound' that they use. (It's a shaking tambourine I think that they use as the sound). AND if they do bugger up the timing a little bit...the back stage crew would stop the backing track and then punch it back in along to Wills playing at the point Will's at (the crew know the songs so well they know what part is next and stuff) then hopefully Will can adjust back to the timing of the metronome.....that's IF they screw up ;)
  19. No, you are wrong. I think I know best. I don't just blindly love everything Coldplay. You just got this one wrong.
  20. Haha, I'm here.....going upload pics in a second actually.
  21. Yeah, I was there again  , luckily got to a great spot on the bar again. Loved it, as always. Crowd was very loud....on speed of sound Chris was shocked at the noise levels when everybody sang 'All that noise and all that sound' part...he looked at the rest of the band in amazement. Chris also mentioned that the crowd had surpassed the other gigs :stunned: (but Earls courts crowd was good too I think).Anyway, got some pics and will post tomorrw.
  22. hey there. Ahhhhh!!!, :o that pic doesn't even look like me...lol.....I look more like I'm gonna punch someone.......
  23. I think it was similar to the wednesday gig, if not the same.
  24. hahaha, your having a laugh mate....I was down on the bar and it was great. I've been to my fair share of Coldplay gigs and this was just as good as any....the band really were giving it their all.
