I just heard it, and at about 35 seconds into the song the drums come in and it has a similar beat to clocks and also the keyboard plays arpeggios that are rhythmically like clocks but they arent the exact same chords. Also the ''sound'' of her song 'La Pared' is terrible, it sounds so fake and lifeless. what bad production.

I dunno which part you mean exactly but for parts of trouble... Jonny uses reverb with a long reverb time and delay. He uses a slide on the part before ''they spun a web for me, the spun a WEB for me'' and the outro.

I don't understand some peoples thinking/expectations sometimes :angry: ....it's like they haven't been paying attention to how any past CD's and DVD's have been realesed. :dozey: Do you really think that Coldplay want to release a DVD when they have just built up to their most hyped album release, plus it's probably the most hyped album release in the past 8 years or so. (Overall across the world). They will complete a huge tour before enough backstage/tour bus etc..footage has been shot to make up a large amount of extra material that will make a DVD release even better. Making a good DVD takes alot of time and if you wan't the filming right, then it's expensive too and you don't want to organise a DVD shoot when they have just really began to get most of the songs played and sounding better - they will wan't to be sure on their set list. The band will want to be on top form before they consider having themselves recorded for their own DVD. A longer wait for a DVD just seems natural or is it just me??

nah, I doubt they would have done that. They will have the Instrumental CD of X&Y. Most major labels make them to give to the BBC and other broadcasting companies.

Yeah, get someone who can play guitar well or someone who knows a bit about guitars to go with you if you ever buy a guitar. I have had friends in the past who are just learning and have got new guitars that 'play' awfully. They never seemed to achieve much, and if they did it took a while. My first guitar was a Washburn Chicago Series and wasn't expensive at all, but it did have a really decent 'action' and I enjoyed playing alot. I now play a US Tele but that's another thing.. :D

I know the bit you mean. I think it's either Jonny using a Tremelo arm or a whammy effect. coz I played it with my whammy pedal and it did sound very much like it. But a tremelo arm sounds just like it too.

Oh, sorry, yeah......I downloaded the promo which has the edit. I am probably going to get the promo though. I hope.

I just got the promo and the radio edit is far shorter, 4:09. Compared to the album version of 4:57. But this was to be expacted. It just seems to have less of a build up with it cutting alot of the quiet section out.
