  1. Yeah, the bringing down of the saddam statue was 100% staged for TV. It kinda worked for a bit.....I remember thinking it was a major moment. And....
  2. Exactly. Spot on. But again, that list could go on and on.
  3. Well, sorry to slightly correct this......a bit :) But infact he was told about the second WTC plane crash while in the classroom. Chief of Staff, Andrew Card came in and said "America is under attack" to Bush. The thing is, he knew about the first crash before he went into the classroom......what really should have happened when he was told about the second crash was to get the president out of there.....out of the way of all those children.....how did they know that Bush was safe there? So here's the lie.... He also has said that he saw the first WTC plane hit on TV before he went into the classroom......how?? The first ever footage of it wasn't released until after the 2nd tower crash. Look, I'll quote.... Town Hall Meeting [CNN, Aired December 4, 2001] "Well, Jorden, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I used to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident." George Walker Bush and again..... Town Hall Forum on Economy in California [whitehouse.gov, January 5, 2002] "I was sitting there, and my Chief of Staff -- well, first of all, when we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building. There was a TV set on..." George Walker Bush So again..the problem is - there was no live video coverage of the first plane hitting the tower. There couldn't be. Video of the first plane hitting the tower did not surface until AFTER the second plane had hit. It also would be foolish for Bush to assume that a passenger jet aircraft hitting the WTC in clear weather was pilot error, especially since warnings had surfaced of hijacked commercial aircraft attacking symbols of American power and culture. If Bush really did see an the first plane on TV hitting the World Trade Center then he saw that the aircraft was under control at the time, and he saw it before arriving at Booker Elementary because he was en route to the school when the first plane struck WTC 1 - a closed-circuit live feed to his limo is the only way he could have seen this impact on TV. '......It must also be remembered that even after Andrew Card informed Bush of the second WTC impact, by his own admission Bush knew America was being 'attacked', but he continued listening to the reading skills of a classroom full of children. Just think about that for a while.'
  4. To respond to your comments would insult my intelligence.
  5. Stop generalising my thoughts to make them seem less important. Things are alot more complicated and my questions are 100% valid and with reason.
  6. I have a tough time over this.... I mean.....I live in London, I understand there was alot of loss in peoples lives and it was a shocking day - but I do have trouble with the Islamic Terrorism 'branding' which seems to be tagged to every story like this over and over again. We aren't even allowed to have an investigation here about what happened and we were made to do with a government "narative" of what they say happened of 7/7/2005. Then we have the release of the "Al-Qaeda" tape which benefits one sole group.....the Blair government........what timing! half the people in the capital go about their day, reading the Metro paper and thinking "oh, this is horrible isn't"...when in truth less than a handful will be able to see why there are so many un-answered questions......questions which are being refused an honest answer by a dis-honest government and MI5.
  7. I know, "we are more free now than we were 200 years ago" isn't really a good argument, I feel. I see the kind of point he's trying to make.....but.....it's pretty much avoiding the destruction of civil liberties during the past 50 years and especially the last few terms in office - where all these things are accelerating
  8. What a suprise. Sorry for the 'attitude' but, you know, I'm getting sick of reports about foiled attacks all the time. I think it's more opportunistic by the Feds, more than anyhting else. There are a huge amount of reports like this which never really seem to have much to them.
  9. you couldn't stay awake long enough to finish the list.
  10. Well, if asked, what do you think the CIA would say?? It's him, or it's not him? lol.
  11. Well communism was created by the central banks (corporate facists, like all the recent US Administrations) at the turn of the last century in a way to con people into a counter revolution, which in turn just continued to fund the central banks and their corporate facist ways. A false choice if you wish. So, I don't think it's considered wrong exactly.......hmmmm.
  12. That really isn't applicable to the big changes in 'modern times' though is it? Our current (or recent) freedoms are being eaten away very fast......your own constitution is becoming almost worthless in many respects.......your president has broken the law many times by signing laws & bills without going through congress...... All these things are designed to take away freedoms.....and it's working so far. :(
  13. Come on man......you can't say that.....you just can't. I'm sorry, but your really dreaming if you believe that.
  14. Well, I guess this is fitting then.... Fascism: An American reality Larry Pinkney | July 6 2006 The American Heritage Dictionary defines the word fascism as "a philosophy or system of government that is marked by stringent social and economic control, a strong centralized government usually headed by a dictator, and often a policy of belligerent nationalism." Moreover, and most importantly, it also defines fascism clearly and succinctly as "oppressive or dictatorial control." There are those who will sarcastically say that the political/social situation in and with America is not "that bad," when in fact things are far, far worse. Whether or not one chooses to define this increasingly all-encompassing suppression of people in America as authoritarian, totalitarian or fascist is a ridiculously moot point for the overwhelming majority of people who have lost or are losing their already limited freedoms, their livelihoods and their very lives to the organized repression of this hypocritical, cynically racist and genocidal American state apparatus. The organized and sustained political, economic, social and cultural repression being waged by the American state against its own citizens and persons globally is nothing short of fascism. At this precarious period in history, with repression intensifying on all levels, quibbling about whether or not America is technically fascist amounts to intellectual masturbation. The fact is that the internal and external repressive policies of the United States of America have already destroyed -- and continue to decimate -- millions of people inside America and throughout the world. Especially is this true with respect to the vast majority of people of color in the ghettos, reservations and barrios of the U.S., as well as in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean and elsewhere. Contrary to the well perpetuated myth, fascism is not limited to storm troopers blatantly goose-stepping down streets and alleyways, engaging in bloody search and destroy missions. Germany's fascism under Adolf Hitler differed from Italy's fascism under Benito Mussolini, but they were both fascist nation states. Fascism has different forms, all of which are equally deadly, all of which must be identified, seriously resisted and stopped. Complacently insisting that the organized state repressive apparatus of, in and by the United States must not be defined as fascism is incredibly dangerous, especially at this point in history. It's a bit like quibbling with a person who is in the death throes of drowning that he is not actually drowning but merely suffocating! No matter how it is defined, the person is dying, and immediate action is needed to save his or her life! Whether it is defined as blatant fascism, benign fascism or so-called creeping fascism, it is still fascism; and if left unchecked, the end result is precisely the same: total and utter disenfranchisement under an authoritarian, repressive state apparatus. The urgency of this reality in America cannot be overstated. The enormous internal and external destruction of peoples and cultures around the world caused by the fascistic policies of the United States -- cloaked in a mythical democracy -- have wreaked more havoc, misery and destruction upon peoples nationally and around the world than the blatantly fascist regimes of World War II Germany and Italy combined. Notwithstanding the over 100 million Black people who had previously been murdered as victims of Europe and America's African "legalized" slave trafficking, it should be remembered that many years subsequent, Adolf Hitler, in his published book "Mein Kampf," made it quite clear that the idea for waging the horrible genocide against Jews and other so-called "undesirables" had been borrowed from none other than the earlier genocide waged by the United States against the indigenous -- so called "Indian" -- peoples of America. Ironically, many pundits of that 1930s era confidently and incorrectly argued that due to Germany's achievements in culture, politics, the arts and technology of that period, the unthinkable could never happen there. Obviously, they were wrong. Nevertheless, the enormous horrors inflicted by fascist Germany and Italy upon the world pale by comparison to those carried out by the much larger, deadlier and far more sophisticated United States of America, whose internal and external "news" and information propaganda machine would make the former fascist German and Italian propaganda machines green with envy. Thus, to compare the contemporary United States, or any of its leaders, to the former fascist leaders Adolf Hitler or Benito Mussolini is utterly missing the point, as the U.S. is much, much worse, and its global power is far more encompassing and devastating. It is important not to be fooled by the feigned surprise on the part of some at the limited, tip-of-the-iceberg revelations about U.S. torture, internal spying by the U.S. government and corporations, the militarization of the judicial process, massive national voter disenfranchisement and the demonstrated de facto contempt by the U.S. government and corporations for the Black victims of Hurricane Katrina, etc. Substantively, virtually none of these systemic practices are new but now are integrally part and parcel of an increasingly blatant form of American fascism. No matter what individual may be the nominal "leader" of the United States, or what political party -- Republican or Democratic -- is in power, fascism has undeniably become an American reality. No matter what name or under what guise America cloaks its fascist policies, the undeniable fact is: America's own style of fascism is a reality here and now. It is no wonder that Austrian born Arnold Schwarzenegger demonstrated no compunction or inhibition whatsoever in repeatedly and openly expressing his "admiration" for German fascist leader Adolf Hitler before going on later to become the Republican Party's governor of the state of California (see "Events Related to Schwarzenegger.") Moreover, there is no sustained and overwhelming outrage and incensed repudiation of Schwarzenegger from the leadership of either the Democratic or Republican parties regarding his arrogant and chilling admiration for a fascist leader who was directly responsible for the dehumanization and murder of millions of people. A distinctly American version of fascism has taken root in this nation, and has created a political climate wherein politicians can openly embrace with admiration past fascist leaders without seriously jeopardizing their own political careers. Furthermore, other than as an increasingly obvious propaganda tool to further its global hegemonic objectives, America's cynical racism and hypocrisy has made a meaningless mockery of words and phrases such as democracy, legality, freedom, fair judicial process and justice. This is a reality which most of the peoples of the world outside of the United States have already acknowledged. Attempting to minimize the precariousness of the political situation in this nation by denying the reality of fascism in America does not change or stop it. Maintaining, like ostriches, the denial of fascism's active, significant existence and role in the American body politic, actually strengthens its stranglehold on the people of this nation and world. Only by removing our heads from the sand, facing up to, organizing against, resisting and struggling for systemic change here and now is there the real hope, for ourselves and for people around the world, of stopping and dismantling this fascist onslaught. Indeed, we can ill afford to do otherwise.
  15. Oh, I say, what a jolly idea........ ....game of cricket?
  16. Yep, I knew about this. When somebody working under the instruction of the CIA (bin laden) is left alone by Clinton, I am not suprised. look....info, upon info. CIA halted a plan to kidnap Bin Laden in 1998 US, Pak made 'deal' over capture of Bin Laden: report Bin Laden Said Arguably The Creation Of A CIA-Led Coalition Who Is Osama Bin Laden? Bin Laden visits US embassy in London
  17. The thing is....if you just think about the huge super highways in a simple form....for example.....that they are just 'big highways' then it can sound reasonable...... BUT... This NAFTA Super Highway is going to replace existing roads, then privatise and add toll fees, as well as tracking transponders.......to help pay for it all. The US borders between Canada and Mexico are also going to be dissolved, making a North American Union, a subset of the planned future American Union. Bush has actually signed the law for this hand-over to begin, true. 97% of Texans were against this in a poll, if I remember correctly. Bush and co. have been saying that they are going to end illegal immigration, well making this North American Union with free labor travel will end illegal immigration alright.....it wll be legal. It's reall quite important stuff I feel. There's also many other issues involving trade, the foreign ownership of the Highways transport infrastructure and dissection of the middle class. I'm only writing about this because I care..
  18. Russia Puts Number of N Korean Missile Launches at 10 MosNews | July 5 2006 North Korea launched a total of 10 missiles, the head of Russia’s General Staff was quoted as saying on Wednesday, but he could not confirm how many of them were intercontinental weapons. “Our control systems can confirm that the rockets were launched,” he told reporters in the town of Chita, near the Mongolian border, the Reuters news agency quoted the Russian miliatry official as saying. “Ten rockets were launched. According to one set of data, they were rockets of different classes. According to another set of data, they were all intercontinental. I can only say what class they were after receiving the technical data.”
  19. Busted for wearing a peace T-shirt; has this country gone completely insane? Mike Ferner | July 5 2006 Friday afternoon, drinking a cup of coffee while sitting in the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center on Chicago's south side, a Veterans Administration cop walked up to me and said, "Okay, you've had your 15 minutes, it's time to go." "Huh?" I asked intelligently, not quite sure what he was talking about. "You can't be in here protesting," Officer Adkins said, pointing to my Veterans For Peace shirt. "Well, I'm not protesting, I'm having a cup of coffee," I returned, thinking that logic would convince Adkins to go back to his earlier duties of guarding against serious terrorists. Flipping his badge open, he said, "No, not with that shirt. You're protesting and you have to go." Beginning to get his drift, I said firmly, "Not before I finish my coffee." He insisted that I leave, but still not quite believing my ears, I tried one more approach to reason. "Hey, listen. I'm a veteran. This is a V.A. facility. I'm sitting here not talking to anybody, having a cup of coffee. I'm not protesting and you can't kick me out." "You'll either go or we'll arrest you," Adkins threatened. "Well, you'll just have to arrest me," I said, wondering what strange land I was now living in. You know the rest. Handcuffed, led away to the facility's security office, past people with surprised looks on their faces, read my rights, searched, and written up. The officer who did the formalities, Eric Ousley, was professional in his duties. When I asked him if he was a vet, it turned out he had been a hospital corpsman in the Navy. We exchanged a couple sea stories. He uncuffed me early. And he allowed as to how he would only charge me with disorderly conduct, letting me go on charges of criminal trespass and weapons possession -- a pocket knife -- which he said would have to be destroyed (something I rather doubt since it was a nifty Swiss Army knife with not only a bottle opener, but a tweezers and a toothpick). After informing me I could either pay the $275 fine on the citation or appear in court, Ousley escorted me off the premises, warning me if I returned with "that shirt" on, I'd be arrested and booked into jail. I'm sure I could go back to officers Adkins' and Ousleys' fiefdom with a shirt that said, "Nuke all the hajis," or "Show us your tits," or any number of truly obscene things and no one would care. Just so it's not "that shirt" again. And just for the record? I'm not paying the fine. I'll see Adkins and Ousley and Dubya's Director of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, if he wants to show up, in United States District Court on the appointed date. And if there's a Chicago area attorney who'd like to take the case, I'd really like to sue them -- from Dubya on down. I have to believe that this whole country has not yet gone insane, just the government. This kind of behavior can't be tolerated. It must be challenged. I was at the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center because I'm participating in the Voices for Creative Nonviolence's 30-day, 320-mile "Walk for Justice," from Springfield to North Chicago, Illinois, to reclaim funding for the common good and away from war.
  20. What?!? The Chinese? I couldn't think of anything worse.
  21. yeah, I meant both parties. I'm am reading about the NAFTA Super Highway now....it's very interesting.
