The Offical "The Killers" Thread
^ Good song. Another solo album (sort of) that I like is Bruce Springsteen's "Nebraska." I think it would be cool if another artist would do a raw, lo-fi album like it. After all, Brandon has named Bruce as an influence on more than once occasion, including an inspiration behind Sam's Town. Bruce's influence can also be felt on A Dustland Fairytale.

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
^ yeah, I will wait to hear the entire album before I fully judge the entire project. But it's only natural to jump to conclussions based on the first single since, ultimately, it should set the tone for the album. I think I said this before, but I think the perfect example of a solo project was the two albums Gwen Stefani put out. While I wasn't a big fan of either, and am only a mild fan of no doubt, it accomplished exactly what I think a solo project of a singer in a big band should - it went in an entirely different direction; one that is completely separate from anything that could be done within the confines of her band. That's usually how I evaluate a solo project. If it's the same as something he could have done with the killers, I am left wondering why he didn't just save it for a killers album.

Unless I really like the album, I probably won't see the show. Solo shows are usually not that good.
