Gliz, Jiggs, LUSH, Glowing, Mars, Zoo, Dawcy, Maky, Caro and CRESTY need a place to talk! But EVERYO
That's the San Antonio concert, right after the New Orleans one. Yeah, I'm planning to go to West Palm Beach, with Pete Yorn. There's this girl from my city who asked on the West Palm concert thread who planned to go. But now I would rather travel to New Orleans. The only downside is that the tickets for NOLA cannot be bought thru Ticketmaster unless you live in certain areas :(

Can't. breathe. Ok, now... SNOW PATROL is opening for Coldplay in June! The closest concert is New Orleans. Shit, I really want to see them in concert (since U2 is bringing Muse to Tampa instead of SP) Gosh, I would die if I get to see SP and CP together :bomb:

Read your message today, hope by now you have read the reply. My only concern is how am I gonna tell my parents? :uhoh: I mean, the few times I've gone out of town by myself is for conferences, academic-related stuff. AND the fact that I'm already going to the Tampa concert, I can imagine them saying: "why do you need to go to another concert?" BUT they know they cannot really stop me :P I am! I hope you can join us in our road trip! Maybe I should listen to some Pete Yorn

Or I could hop on the train, which is cheaper. I don't know if I am a devoted fan, but a crazy fan for sure  It's so crazy that I'm thinking of how convince my mom to go to New Orleans around June 6. We want to go the consulate there to get new passports, so if we could only go in early June

That would be ME! I wrote about looking for a Coldplayer in Tampa to drive to West Palm together to go this concert a while ago, it's on page 2 or 3 of this thread. My post wasn't as long, but I'm in the same predicament as you: Instead of a friend, it is my sister who's broke (she cannot go because she'll be staying at UF for summer classes) I'm a hard-core Coldplay fan I live in Tampa I'm going to the Tampa concert (as seen on my signature) I want to go to the West Palm Beach concert, but haven't bought a ticket yet I'm up for a road trip, specially for Coldplay (Summer starts on April 28 at 4pm for me :D) I've been thinking the same thing about driving there and buying last minute tickets! Good thing you know someone that's done that and succeded. Also, there is another Coldplaying member from Orlando who wants to go, she goes by the username of JustSpies84.

Yay! That's cool! Is it near your birthday? I was going to the Raleigh concert before they announced the one in West Palm Beach. Although I could still go, I will apply to volunteer with Oxfam, and if I get accepted, then I'll hop into a plane and go there. Yep, I will.

The Official Phil is Hot thread (now known as the greet Phil thread :P)
Girls, I really hope I get to go to the West Palm Beach concert. I MUST try every way to get there, and bring a "Phil is boilin' HOT" sign  Hi Phil !

Did You Make A COLDPLAY Sign?
That I will help continue, hopefully. Noelia gave me the idea for a "Phil is boiling HOT" sign

What do you wear to a Coldplay Concert - Girly question I know
I'll be wearing a pale yellow t-shirt that has a five butterflies in the front whth Japanese characters and a Geisha on the back (I love it because it's like a "Lovers in Japan" motif), with jeans, and my sneakers/tennis shoes. Oh, and might add a Viva-like militia-style purple jacket :D

Earth Hour
I guess I miss this thing. Haven't watched TV in two days, and barely skim throught the newspaper. Anyway, alternative sources of energy need to get cheap enough to be fully embraced by everyone all over the world. Until then, we're stuck with oil and gas. Discussions on global warming or climate change being man-made aside, I worry about the effects of air pollution on people's health. I mean, how people in the big cities breathe that smog? :sick2:

Yeah, I need to start thinking about where could I stay overnight  Well, I have a cousin who lives near Ft.Lauderdale. If only I can get some Coldplayer from the area to give me a ride there after the concert or something. I think she would mind having me there, she would be glad actually.

^Yes, screw being an international trade specialist, I should be a guidance counselor at high school or at the uni. I forgot how many times I have helped people with what classes to take and such :laugh1:

Oh my gosh, the SATs! I moved to America when I was 16, and had no clue what it was. So I took it the spring of my junior year and got an 1190. Then I enrolled in SAT prep classes the fall of senior year, retook in Nov, and got a 1230, which was good enough to get the 4-year scholarship at my uni. Oh, and never prepared for the ACT, got a 27, and I still don't know why or how I did that :laugh3:

Let's say Texas is famous for not being the smartest state :laugh3: Yeah, Florida is not far behind. Although the dual-enrollment program exists, they barely advertise it, perhaps they don't want students to know that they can start taking classes at the community college in 10th grade, which can fulfill the High school requirements, plus classes and books are paid by the state. I have another friend who did this since 10th grade. she was so far ahead, she started at the uni at 17, changed her major like twice, did an internship program in Tunisia her first summer, and now she's in South Africa for the semester. She's like 20 years old now.

Economics is like in between; I have noticed how some things are explained with definitions or principles, and others can be easily explained with math. It's interesting  But that helps you figure out what to major in college. Perhaps English or History, or Mass Communications (journalism, TV/Radio broadcasting, advertising, public relations)? You probably don't want anything to do with Engineering, or Biology, Chemistry, Math, or Physics :laugh3:
