  1. I'm thinking the same thing! August cannot be here soon enough  @ Andy: at what time did Coldplay had their soundcheck? Some of us are trying to figure out at what time to meet at the venue before the concert (in Florida, on August 9). Since our venue is outdoors, we'll be able to hear the soundcheck even if we are outside, and maybe get a glimpse of the band.
  2. Yeah, I would guide them so they don't get Lost! :P About getting into the soundcheck, I don't know. I think maybe those who buy VIP packages get to be inside or win a competition (usually from a TV or radio station) :( I know 97X FM is the radio station sponsoring the concert. They gave a presale code, and were giving away tickets (I entered the online raffle cuz if you never try, you never know ) But if we're there early, we could put on our puppy faces (:embarassed:) and beg them (the roadies, becuase the venue people are more likely to be mean) to let us inside. "Please, please, please"
  3. Weeeeeeee! Daylight 'til 8pm! :sunny:
  4. Actually, there are very fancy hotels near the airport (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Renaissance) Also, there is this mall called International Plaza, which is the fanciest one in Tampa, where all the luxury stores are located. Oh, and it has this nice outdoorsy area with fine restaurants. When celebrities come to Tampa, they are usually spotted here. Haha, I know so much, the band should hire me as their tour guide or something :laugh3:
  5. We're just joking Lalo! :laugh3: Fans sometimes wait outside the hotel where their favorite artists are staying when they are in town for a concert. If fans are lucky, and artists are nice, the fans can get to see them and even get an autograph and/or picture. That's not stalking, is it? :uhoh: An upgrade would be my dream come true :D, but I'm glad with the tickets I got :smug: (not that I would not accept an upgrade :P) My motive for getting early is to listen to the soundcheck, or get a glimpse of the band when they get to the venue. oh, yes, and give thanks to the roadies
  6. I've been helping people to find hotels in Tampa, so I just google the venue, and then write "hotels" on the "search for nearby" box (or something like that).
  7. I don't understand why :(. Otherwise, people should have gotten awesome seats during the sale since demand doesn't seem as high as in other cities. I thought tons of people would travel from other areas to see them here  Maybe they are, there are just not members of the forum. What I'm gonna say it's totally speculation, but I think chances of fans getting upgraded will be high in this concert. It's a gut feeling, I might be wrong.
  8. ^same here! You're sooooo lucky! Thanks for sharing with us Andy! :)
  9. Oh, I'm sorry Cobalt :( You still had a good time at the concerts, right? :) I think they're trying to us fans by staying at different chains of hotels on every city :P In my town, there are a lot of fancy hotels, so that's gonna be a challenge. Although there is an awesome hotel (Hard Rock Hotel) next to the venue in my town, so we think they might stay there, but nothing is ever certain.
  10. Hi GreenEyes! Thanks for the info! I have the same predicament. I got my ticket for Tampa, but I want to go to NC as well. I didn't want to buy tickets for the NC concerts since my summer plans are not concrete (i.e. summer job, summer classes, working on thesis). Yeah, it's nerve-racking, but I think it's better to just be patient, don't worry  At the Tampa thread, everyone is up for the yellow glowsticks. So, I dunno if they want to do purple glowsticks too. But it could work to have 2 colors. On that thread, we started to speculate whether the band will stay at the Hard Rock Hotel, which is right next to the venue. I guess some will want to meet at the hotel, and others at the venue. About Charlotte and Raleigh, if I get to go, I'll spend most of my time around the venue, like the crazy fangirl I am :laugh3:
  11. Oh, by the way, I love your current siggy Darcy! Can't wait to the concert. Hopefully, some yellow balloons will be thrown to my section :D
  12. I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! Same here! :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :uhoh: at the concert I went to, I remember that it was from left to right: Will, Chris, Guy, and Jonny. They were at the end of my row, and I recall having an awesome view of Chris and his blue eyes :wideeyed: but Jonny blocking my view of Guy :( ME LIKEY!!! :wink3: The first one is dear to my heart, as you can tell
  13. In some varying degrees, we all are! :laugh3:
  14. TWICE!? :shocked2: The same day, or following days, or what? Who are they who played hockey with your husband? Tell us the story please :D EDIT: Oh, I just read your other post. You met him outside the hotel? Sorry for asking so many questions like a curious kid :embarassed:
  15. On the other threads about concerts in Australia, some people have mentioned that they have been staying at Hyatt Hotels. So, if there's one near the venue in Brisbane, that should be the place to wait. Good luck!
  16. 10 AM (ok, maybe around 11am. Nah, I wanna be super early SO that someone from the crew notices how excited/static/thrilled I am because Coldplay is in my town :D) If the Amph hasn't opened the parking lot, then I'll park by one of the hotels nearby :P Well, they are other fancy hotels in Tampa, some are in downtown, others near the airport, BUT why would they not stay at the Hard Rock? Some stalkers live in Tampa  Yeah, I really hope they do stay at the Hard Rock (would make our search easier) I would meet with other fans there while waiting for the venue to open. Oh, and I would go also on Saturday or Monday morning to see if I can get to see the band :wideeyed: Although, if they stayed in downtown, that's another story. Getting around downtown is difficult if you don't work there or live nearby, but my internship is there, so I know the area well.
  17. (before I forget...) HI PHIL!
  18. I know, what is he doing there covering Philly? :P WORD!!!!
  19. Yeppers! :D I do think he and Hugh Laurie look more alike than him and Morrison. :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: I KNOW! I wish I knew someone that resemble Chris Martin, specially if he was my age :wink3: *imagines young Chris on "Shiver" vid* :wideeyed:
  20. BUMP! I haven't got a ticket for this show. I'm waiting to see if Oxfam asks for voluteers.
  21. Tons of butterflies! I was sitting on the middle-tier of the arena, but went to the floor after the concert, and got tons of :flutterby:
  22. Great! The more of us, the merrier! Oh, ok. I still hope you can make it. I have gotten PMs from people who are coming to the city, and I have answered their questions about where to stay (hotels) and what to do (places to visit). IF anyone has questions, ask me!
  23. Oh my goodness, I would LOVE them forever and ever if they play "'Til Kingdom Come" :wideeyed:
  24. Are you coming to Tampa? :D I'm hoping I won't be the only one waiting for the boys early at the venue :uhoh:
