I was a little iffy after ETIAW came out, but I'm definitely getting this album now.

The crowd was probably expecting more Viva-era songs.

Sarah Palin and Anti-Obama Peopls vs. the NHS
Disclaimer: I've been reading the bill. But private insurance plans will still exist due to the grandfather clause! True, but what will happen when the majority of companies in the U.S switch to the public policy because it will cost much less than any private plans? The gov't-backed plan will crowd out the market. But it will cost less! That's good for Americans in general, right? 1) Theoretically in the beginning it will. Practically-free coverage for $5,000 and $10,000 "damage" amounts will be great. However, the government is in control of this policy. Because it's not a private company, any changes to the benefits of the plan or the cost or the amount covered can't be appealed. Basically, once the public policy crowds out the private sector, the government can do whatever it wants. 2) End Of Life Counseling: Where do I start... How about with this quote from the National Review Online

District 9
Calm down and remove my quote. I wasn't even alluding to anything, so I don't understand why you're getting so riled up.

Does anything annoy you about people and liking coldplay
Yeah. Before Viva La Vida I had heard Yellow and Clocks but didn't even know they were by Coldplay since I was 13 when Parachutes was released and I was listening to different genres. I heard Viva La Vida because it was a free track on Facebook, got the album, and now I have 506 pieces of Coldplay in my iTunes haha.

Does anything annoy you about people and liking coldplay
They seem like those kids who try to keep everyone out of their exclusive club just because the new kids haven't been around as long.

Does anything annoy you about people and liking coldplay
I don't care about people calling themselves fans if they only like Viva La Vida or Violet Hill or etc., or if they hate the new album and love Parachutes. In the end, to what degree of "liking" a band makes you a "real" fan? If someone claims to like Coldplay, I just let them do so and am happy that there's one 1 more fan. The band itself probably just wants everyone to enjoy at least 1 piece of their songs since it's what they do for a living: try to reach out to people through music. Edit: And more fans = more money for the band = potentially more albums/songs/concerts!

Coldplay should ditch Eno.
There we go. I love Parachutes & AROBTTH as much as the next guy, but Coldplay have decided to change their style. I personally think the jump to Viva La Vida is exactly of the same intensity of that from AROBTTH to X&Y...

Drum Sheet Music
A friend of mine requested drum sheet music for any Coldplay songs, but I can't find any on Google and I don't really feel like buying that "Play Drums With Coldplay" set. I can find tabs everywhere, but he doesn't have a program to translate them.

Viva La Vida reached 50 million! :D
Really? I've encountered more people who think that Coldplay suck, but enjoy Viva La Vida & Violet Hill, and would never dream of saying that they thought of themselves as fans. You also have to understand that Viva La Vida is basically an anthem/stadium rock song... it's supposed to get more response than DAAHF, LIJ, and LIT. If you listen to the original album recording, then the 2008 concert version, and finally the 2009 concert version, you'll see that the band has catered to the crowd by changing the song a little (adding a chant before Chris starts singing for example), while keeping the DAAHF, LIJ, and LIT the same. I personally enjoyed the fact that the crowd got wild during Viva La Vida at my last concert and stayed more mellow during the 3 aforementioned songs.

We have? Is there a sample of it somewhere?

13-Jul-09: Shoreline Amphitheater, San Francisco, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists
I think it's because of the crazy scalping that happened. A lot of the "best" tickets were sold prior the general sale and the rest have been hoarded so the price can be raised.

same here, but i'm happy with the lawn seats. everyone says that they're basically just as good as the real seats, unless you want a chance to meet the band.

apparently we can bring point-and-click digital cameras, but no "professional" cameras. next question: is anyone planning on recording this concert (audio) somehow? haha.
