  1. You got it! hahah I was Strawberry Swinging the whole time. :D
  2. I was in Marshall's in the fitting room and I heard this low talking, followed by clapping, and this strange guitar sound. Can you guess the song?? Made my day. :D
  3. This is fantastic!!! I'm originally from PA, close to Pittsburgh, so hearing him talk about the Steelers is a dream. lol He gave a mad shout out at the Pittsburgh concert and everyone went crazy, so hearing this is great! And knowing that GP likes them is even better. :) Besides that, he is so great with that little boy. How incredibly sweet! He must be such a good dad. Makes me love him even more. haha
  4. Just voted. I'm flipping through all the categories barely knowing what the crap these people/shows are since I'm a good 15 years past their target audience. hahaha Too old to know if the Sprouse kids are good actors on their Zack and Cody show, but not old enough to forget I liked them when they played Julian in Big Daddy. haha :P
  5. I've got a boat load of pics of them (with the screen fully intact behind them) from several US shows, but no Latin American ones. If you'd like them, let me know and I'll post them. :)
  6. Also, all judges said that it's an awesome song and that they love that song. Simon called it contemporary and very cool.. the song, not the performance, so kudos to our boys. :)
  7. Hey! This was just on a minute ago. Sung by some girl REEEEEALLY slowly on a piano. It was... interesting. Just okay - definitely not GOOD. But definitley not bad, either...just interesting. Will look for vid. Post if find it. :) --------------------------------- Performance: http://www.rickey.org/?p=34369 Wednesday night's (March 3) episode of "American Idol" was, without a doubt, the best episode of the season so far. That's not to say it was perfect (Haeley Vaughn's version of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" saw to that), but there were a number of instantly memorable (and occasionally jaw-dropping) highlights. In addition to Crystal Bowersox's triumphant return from illness, there was Siobhan Magnus' rousing, left-field run through of Aretha Franklin's "Think," Lacey Brown's interesting take on Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me" and Lilly Scott's not-unreasonable take on the Sam Cook classic "A Change Is Gonna Come" (even though she still should have left it in the "retired" pile). Heck, even though Michelle Delamor's attack on Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" (which she re-imagined as a sort of shuffling R&B jam) was most certainly a failure, it was nice to see her take a risk and push the envelope. The most memorable performance of Wednesday night's show undoubtedly came from Katelyn Epperly, who took Coldplay's "The Scientist" (from their massive 2002 album A Rush of Blood to the Head) and slowed it down to a crawl that focused on the song's deep-seeded pathos. By focusing on the lyrics (and thus on her voice), she revealed something about "The Scientist" that may not have been entirely evident before (namely that it's an incredibly devastating tune about being lost). She made the chorus cry, especially the line "Nobody said it was easy." The judges may have been lukewarm, but "The Scientist" absolutely ruled. Of course, the original has one of the best music videos ever made working for it. In this clip (which won three MTV Video Music Awards), the entire narrative is told backwards. It's a stunning and technical accomplishment. While the song now belongs to Epperly, Chris Martin still has the video in his pocket. http://newsroom.mtv.com/2010/03/04/american-idol-the-scientist/
  8. The picture won't show on my computer. :( It's a white box with a red X in it. hmph. :inquisitive:
  9. I think it's so cute that they supposedly requested postcards to mail to their families. Is that where "Postcards from Far Away" came from? Am I the last to realize this? haha
  10. ^ Not to spam this thread, but I can't help myself. Do you seriously have Tails as your little picture? That's HILARIOUS! Are you old enough to remember Tails? lol I'm laughing in a good way - I PROMISE. :)
  11. oh, that's so sweet! Thank you! It's okay, though - I'll rummage around in the MM section when I get a chance and find it. Thanks again! :D
  12. today, it's How You See the World...number 2, methinks.
  13. Where did you find this song?? :shocked2: I know there's the demo...is that the one??
  14. Dude - you are SOOOO good at this!!! WTH? lol Is this what you do for a living? Cuz if not, you need to major in ice cream making or something. I would totally eat everything you've mentioned. lol :D
  15. I love the second part of the interview - the 6 minute one - b/c I can understand it...but what did they say in the first one - the 2 minute-ish one?? I'm LOOOST!! And not in a good way. ;)
  16. I just looked at the past posts, and now I'm kickin myself for not including others! Totally forgot about Murder, Idiot, Animals... (sigh...)
  17. lol I actually just made a cd like this for my parents about a week ago! Okay, here 'tis. So, I don't know if these are actually b-sides. Think of these more as rarities that people who only have the four studio albums and Prospekt's March wouldn't know. 1. Death Will Never Conquer - Chris on piano 2. Crest of Waves 3. Ladder to the Sun 4. Solid Ground 5. Hunting High and Low 6. Your Love Means Everything 7. A Spell, A Rebel Yell 8. The One I Love 9. Sleeping Sun 10. No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground 11. The World Turned Upside Down 12. 1.36 13. Help is Just Around the Corner 14. The Goldrush
  18. This is exactly my sentiment! Except, I'm singling out Sleeping Sun today as nearly perfect. Just really discovered it a few weeks ago. It's freakin faaaaantastic. :) But if I were to post again next week, it would be totally different. lol
  19. I love that you posted those tweets right after that article. I mean, can't they do any research at all? If you were able to find those tweets, don't you think they could've? and they pretend they're journalists.... I think you should have a web-site where you just post celebrity stories others have written and tweets that refute them. That would be a slap in the face. :)

see, I think of the chorus a bit differently. I feel like it's so simple and honest that it's just beautiful. I feel like it makes it connect more with people because it feels like something anyone could say to someone they've wronged. sorry, this is one of my all time favorite songs of theirs. :)
  21. Wow. I truly commend you, Makayla. That is truly awesome. You are a far stronger person than I am, but it is such a great thing to do. Good luck! We look forward to hearing from you again in 41 days! :D
  22. That was my exact thinking! :)
  23. Holy cow. I don't know if I could even come up with a list. Just setting up the scenario in my mind makes me bonkers with delight and unbridled glee. :squealing like a baby: Perhaps when I calm down, I'll post. lol
  24. ^ haha me too! lol It would be just a short trip down there rather than airplane trek across the country or the deep blue yonder. :)
