[3-May-2012] Coldplay @ American Idol, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Surely they have to play Charlie Brown, would be good to give it a bit of a boost in the charts! Really hope they don't play Paradise, that's had enough attention! Not sure what from the new album they could promote though. Would rather them not play ETIAW and I don't see how they could play PoC.

Best MX song when played live
Definately Charlie Brown for me, no other song gets the crowd involved as much. Major Minus would be a close second, I think it's fast becoming a really underrated song. I think it's fantastic live. Of course HLH is a great start to the shows, with MX at the start and the wristbands its spine-tingling! Also from what I've seen DLIBYH looks like it could be one of the best live songs as well.

A Hopeful Transmission / Don't Let It Break Your Heart Unofficial Music Video
Using the Charlie Brown video actually works really well! Good job.

Upcoming Chris/Flaming Lips Collaboration?
Nice artwork as well;

Upcoming Chris/Flaming Lips Collaboration?
I really like the song. Nice to know that Chris still has some alternative music connections despite all the Rihanna, dubstep etc. comments at the moment! Here it is on YouTube;

Best seamless/gapless songs in the setlist?
Violet Hill into GPASUYF at the moment. Epic. Also love the start with Back to the Future/MX/HLH. Hard to beat the AROBTTH and Yellow intros on Live 2003 though.

[9-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012, Wembley Stadium, London, England
God that line up makes me want to be sick! Coldplay line-ups should have bands like the Doves, Elbow, Interpol and Supergrass (like 2005 tour) rather than Justin Bieber, The Wanted and Katy Perry!!

Coldplay Record Store Day Vinyl: Up With The Birds/U.F.O.
That's quite cool they put it on the Recordings section. Makes it seem more official. Although considering this they should've/could've designed an artwork cover for it?

Coldplay Record Store Day Vinyl: Up With The Birds/U.F.O.
I managed to get one! My record store (quite a small one on the outskirts of London) managed to get two. I was 14th in the que and they were inviting people into the shop two at a time. I went in with the 15th person behind me and he asked the guy at the till straight away if they had Coldplay. I was like I want Coldplay as well! It was lucky for both of us they had two, and it was lucky the 13 people in front of me didn't want it! I paid £7.99 which seemed ok.

Would really rather them not play this. Capital FM Yuk! :embarrassed:

[9-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012, Wembley Stadium, London, England
This is very strange...why would Capital FM put out such an announcement on their official website if it wasn't true? But how can they possibly be there if they've got the Manchester gig? :confused:

Chris Martin's vocal range
Nice video. Should have put the line from Proof where he goes really high though!

[17-Apr-2012] Coldplay @ Rexall Place, Edmonton, AB, Canada
The crowd reaction to PoC didn't look that great! Almost to say 'why are you playing this to me at a Coldplay concert?!' :thinking:

Everybody Read This And Express Your Thoughts!
Politik is a fantastic song, no doubt about it. And that performance at the Grammy's with the orchestra in the back is one of the best things I've ever seen. But for some reason Politik is my least played song on iTunes from A Rush Of Blood To The Head. I think I have to be in the right mood for it. Maybe because when I'm working its not the best song to have in the background as it's one of Coldplay's loudest I think. That being said, whenever I've left a Coldplay concert, Politik has always been in the top 3 songs from the gig. Definitely one of the best live.

Changes in live performances from now
Wish they would play Spies! One of my favourite songs live. Never going to happen though... Hopefully the setlist will be longer and they'll introduce a few songs like DLIBYH, but I doubt they'll change the stage setup, that X thing in the middle looked pretty permanent.

COLDPLAY SONG TOURNAMENT: Round 3 - Group 1
Tough one between The Scientist and Yellow. I went for Yellow in the end, but I'm not sure why. Think it's probably better live, just.

Article: Secret raver Chris Martin lays down a DANCE track with Calvin Harris
Published dead on 0.00 on 1st April so I guess it's a joke. But I didn't even find it that funny because it really could honestly be true..what with Chris' recent music tastes...

PoC video
Well said! Or should I say well gestured! As for the video, it's time to cross fingers. The way Rihanna is dressed if it was filmed really well it could be quite classy...or it could be an awful video much like all of Rihanna's are. Let's hope it goes the right way. Trust the boys! :confused: PS. Just had a look at HiHat Productions and they were involved with Kung Fu Panda. Wasn't that the film that Chris referenced before? Might include some kind of reference in the video! :laugh3:

Coldplay Record Store Day Vinyl: Up With The Birds/U.F.O.
Saw somewhere that they'll be packaged in white sleeves. Think it's a shame there won't be any artwork, that's almost the whole point of it for me!

NME 'reviews' Charlie Brown
Well when we say reviews, we use that term rather loosely. Here's what the self-dubbed 'world's most famous music magazine' has to say regarding Coldplay's latest single; "You can't call a song 'Charlie Brown' and make it worse than the Peanuts theme. I don't care if you're Chris Martin. I don't care if you're a member of your very own Coldplay gym, or if you recorded it in a church, or if your wife's doing a recipe book especially for vegans who teach Bikram yoga to monks. If you call a song 'Charlie Brown' and it sounds this half-arsed you are officially Out Of The Club." Nice to see the NME making such an effort. http://www.nme.com/reviews/coldplay/12882
