This is great! Some thought Mylo Xyloto was going to be less of a commercial success than the other 4 coldplay albums, but it could potentially contain 2 or 3 number ones with the possibility of Charlie Brown and Princess of China challenging as well!

Part of me thinks that Coldplay don't have much control over their merchandise these days. I mean, for a band known for their perfectionism, would they really be happy with what's on offer? And £60 for a hoody, would they really agree with that price?

Up In Flames definitely. It's the only Coldplay song which I find boring, god knows why they insist on playing it live. PoC isn't really my thing sound wise, but it's actually pretty good. Plus I like the way UFO merges into it. How comes so much hate for Major Minus?! Admittedly the studio version is nowhere near as good as the live version, but come on? When they play it live it's brilliant! So atmospheric. I've got tired of hearing ETIAW live, but I don't mind it within the album, especially with MMIX as an intro. But who voted for Charlie Brown?! How dare they!

They played many of the arenas you mention in 2002 for the A Rush of Blood To The Head tour. I honestly think they've grown too big for most of them now.

During summer 2008 a friend played me this new song, Viva La Vida. It was by Coldplay, a band's name I'd heard before but didn't really know a lot about. I then went on YouTube to find some other songs of theirs, only to find out that I recognised basically all of them! Especially the AROBTTH songs, as I realised that it was the album that was constantly played in my cousins car when as 10 year olds we were getting dropped off for football training. Ever since I discovered that the likes of In My Place, Clocks, God Put, Trouble and Speed of Sound were all by Coldplay there's only been one band for me!

Paradise is now up to No.2 in the iTunes chart. Ahh the wonders of television!

Yes, Moving to Mars should have been on the album. It should have replaced Up in Flames, I think that's the dullest track coldplay have made.

I'd doubt it to be honest. Ricky Gervais once did a video with Chris, you may have seen it, where he joked that Chris had made a speech at the Conservative Party Conference. He was saying loads of other things which were obviously the opposite of the case..like Chris, you famously named your child after the famous computer brand! :D

Actually this is something I've always wondered! I'm pretty sure Chris would have had a Conservative upbringing, but obviously as a band they've championed somewhat progressive causes, so I'd probably say the Liberal Democrats. I just hope it's not the Green Party! :embarrassed: Although actually they probably don't vote...
