  1. ...provided I was properly hydrated, sure. Would you... listen to choral music for an entire day while chained to, um, a very uncomfortable chair while itching powder was poured on you. No scratching allowed. (O.o that is the weirdest thing I've ever typed...)

I have my own personal interpretation of 42 I don't think anyone else has. I think 42 is about religion. (See, I have evidence!) Exhibit A: "Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head." The singer is very sad because people he loves are dying and he doesn't know what's happened to them, only that he remembers them and he misses them very very much etc. "And since I fell for that spell, I am living it as well/ Time is so short and I'm sure there must be something more." Converted to the religion, and is really "living" it ie being very devoted for it or whatever. However, the song is still very slow and unsure, he's not sure if those people who are dead are actually in heaven or whatever, or if he's just fooling himself. He gets the feeling (that everyone gets) that there has to be something more than bare existence in human life. *repeats* see above Exhibit B: In the second part of the song, the tempo is less slow and unsure, and starts speeding up and being very happy. I see this as the singer starting to really beleive in the religion for whatever reasons. "You thought you might be a ghost, you didn't get to heaven but you made it close," "You" (the people who died) thought they wouldn't just die forever, they would sort of be a ghost and hang around. The church/religion the singer now practices says, "Oh, they weren't quite good enough for heaven, but they made it close," as an encouragement to the singer, to make it seem easier. He keeps repeating this like a mantra to cheer himself up (ie to distract himself from the fact that he will eventually die) Exhibit C: The song slows down again, and he returns to uncertainty (possibly right before he dies, or something) Very interesting, in my opinion. It's actually what a lot of people who blindly follow religion go through. Exhibit D: It's called "42." And what is 42 but the answer to life, the universe, and everything? And what is religion supposed to be about. Point made. Self win. :D Anyone agree with me? Or is my idea just kinda out there?
  3. hrmm... if I could call people on it, definitely! (Actually, probably either way) The problem would be actually FINDING an ACTUAL telephone booth. :P For one million dollars, would you.... um, drink... vomit?
  4. ouch. Leave them alone, guys. Ickity. Not good news.
  5. waaiit... He had vocal chord surgery?? O.o Huh. Yeah, I agree, more songs like Yes would be very good. And I think when he did hit the high notes in studio performances in X&Y and on back, they probably did a little voice-editing. Singing high notes live is very difficult, especially if you've been singing for the past hour or whatever.
  6. Holy shit, that video is amazing! :stunned: let's see... salami... soda! :D
  7. ...I do that all the time!! For a million dollars, would you play Pac-Man for twenty-four hours straight? No peeing/food/water/sleeping breaks.
  8. ...because I don't know what ^that^ is, and cockroaches survive everyhing, so. :D
  9. ...I'm pretty sure everyone's answer to that here is the same :P. For a Million Dollars, would you eat an entire small rat raw? (provided it wasn't diseased)

  11. ^Oh, I've read that. It is big and fat. It's interesting enough, I guess. Right now I'm reading a suffocatingly old copy of Dante's Inferno. Christ, it's hard to read. :dizzy:
  12. My biology teacher that hates me (it's mutual, I'm afraid) was about to chew me out for reading a book under the table (again). But I was ready for her. :sneaky: She was all like "You need to pay attention in class and keep things from other classes out of the way" etc. at the whole class, and I sat there for a while, then held up my book, which was actually my textbook. :smug: And she apologized and now I feel less hateful toward her, because at least she apologized. But she's a total bitch. Biology is my favorite thing in, like, the world, so at least she hasn't crushed my interest in it. Another thing is she makes her class annoyingly easy (literally a quarter of the work we do is extra credit.) The class average is something like 94%, which is an A. Theoretically the average is supposed to be a C. I know at least ten people who have over 100% in the class, actually. So yes, that made me very happy. :D
  13. Almost every popular actor currently. There. That ought to cover it. Discussion over. :P
  14. Um... from shrimp paste, I think, or the shrimp are ground up, or something. I mean, if they were the whole shrimp, they would be, you know, shrimp-shaped. Yeah, they are good. I think you can get them at a lot of Asian food markets.
  15. This game is fun. :D

  17. ^^.......ouch. Might wanna get on that, man.
  18. Because, let's face it, at least 90% of us are probably procrastinating right now. I'm supposed to be writing an end-of-the unit project for my AP Human Geography class right now. That is due tomorrow. :D And I'll probably still get an A on, because I'm just so amazing like that.
  19. ROFL LOLLERSKATES :laugh3: ... O.o JESUS THAT'S A BIGASSED PICTURE!
  20. The Lion King used to be, like, my religion. One month in the summer when I was seven or eight, I watched it EVERY DAY and could recite every line by heart (even the one where they go "a weemba woo a weemba woo a weemba woo IN THE JUNGLE THE MIGHTY JUNGLE..." etc) And it holds a special, special place in my heart. Besides that, I would go with Ratatouille. Because even though it's animated (and not from Japan) it could almost be a movie that was watchable by almost the entire adult population of the world, which is quite an accomplisment. I liked it very much.
  21. ...yeah... I guess so. Let's start with something really pathetically easy again. I think we should make a rule that Chuck Norris shouldn't be allowed... :P that shouldn't be too hard! Unless, you know, you have morals.
